Hi,
I have a problem with my Samsung S4 i9505. It was locked on SFR (france) network.
After unlocking my phone doens't connect to anything else than 2g (I think). I don't know exactly which network because next to my battery icon is displayed H+ but the download is very bad.. (maxim 407kbs).
I exchanged my sim card and nothing. I put my card to another phone and the speed is around 6-7 mb/s. ( which is normal for 3g networks).
Did anyone encountered something like this ?

I installed Liquid Smooth, and another AOSP rom and the mobile data speed is back to normal.
Any ideea why is this happening with original ROM?

right now I am on GoldenEye, but still the problem persist.
If I reinstall AOSP what should the command above will do ?
I have to say that I am on 4.4.2 bootloader and I have knox flag set to 1. Is this a realy bad thing ? Could this make problems on mobile data ? To limit the data to 2g ?
I found the solution.. It was me...
For every stock ROM my APN settings were wrong. For AOSP roms, the APN was correct. I checked the APN settings on the AOSP rom but not on the stock rom.
I feel silly...
APN was set to Orange-WAP so that's were the speed of maximum 400kbps was from.
Hi there recently got my s5 and rooted and installed alliance rom the problem I am having is it keeps dropping it's data connection for long periods of time I'm on the ee network in the UK and have a 900f from phones 4 u is there a new radio I have to flash or something as my LG go was fine but my s5 is peen a pain

I'm on EE and my data works fine. Have you checked your apn settings?

Do you install both the updates in the rom customiser (kernel and the other update)

All updated and seems to be working fine now not dropped in while could of been a weather problem, could you help me with another issue on the alliance rom when I install the v5 pull up zip in the rom customiser touch wiz keeps closing down. I have tried clear dalvik cache and cache and cleared the touchwiz settings in the app setting but it still continues to do this I would post in the alliance forum but it won't let me

I have today downloaded and installed Cyanogenmod 11 on my S4 from Cyanogenmod website via one time installer.. Everying went fine but I have a problem now. My 3g is not working. My S4 is always on roaming. I have searched in internet first but I can't find a solution for this problem.
Can anyone help me please?

This solution worked for a Danish guy with Telenor carrier.
"There are plenty of fields in an APN entry they my provider/carrier did not address, MVNO type for example, and that one turned out to be the problem It was set to 'SPN' by default, but it should be 'None'. I found that out be reflashing a CM11 M12 and checking the APN settings.
This particular misconfiguration is of course specific to my provider/carrier, but it is probably a general problem for people with mobile data problems."
Still no data. Wow cyanamod is so much better then touchwizz crap. But how can I solve this problem. Do I need to change on the APN?
I just got 2 updates from Cyanogenmod and my data is working. Finally
It seems that I can't get any mobile internet connection whatsoever on any Marshmallow ROM.
I have tried different roms, I've tried over 20 baseband versions (modems) to no avail. I honestly have no idea what to do anymore and can't seem to find any fix to this.
If anyone has ANY idea and thinks that can aid me anyhow, it would be of great help, thanks !
Select the correct APN.
Mine doesn't connect with the default APN either.
Hi, so I have a Canadian Samsung Galaxy S4 SGH-I337M.
I recently flashed Synergy's Cyanogenmod 13 that would allow me to run marshmallow as they have discontinued for my model on the official Cyanogenmod site. After I flashed Gapps Pico and everything was working fine until I tried to use mobile data...
I tried everything I could find i.e Airplane mode, DNS Changer, VPN and most notably changing APN's. As for when I changed APN's I am with mobilicity so I just changed the APN to wap.davewireless.com as instructed on their site but didn't work. I thought it was because "Synergy's CM13" might be "sketchy" so I also flashed CM11 made for my model off cyanogen's official site as well as Resurrection Remix still didn't fix the problem. Is there anything I can do to access my mobile data.
BTW: I can receive calls, texts, voicemails literally everything but my data. I can also receive texts from mobilicty about billing if that means anything.
