PSX4Droid Epic 4G Game Compatability Thread

I set this thread up because currently there is no compatability page set up for the Epic on the psx4droid website. If you know certain games are working/not working please post it here so I can update the list. When posting a game please state what version of psx4droid you are using. If the game is not working please state when it crashes. This thread will be updated weekly. Thanks again.

Do you know if Crash Bandicoot 1, 2, and 3 work?

I'd switch to FPSE. There are not going to be any more updates for PSX4Droid. The devloper went back to develop for the iDevice since the Market banned his account.
Additionally, you'll find the compatibility to be MUCH better on FPSE.

+1 for FPSE, best 5 bucks I've spent in a while! & Crash Bandicoot runs flawless on FPSE, while it was SLOOOOOOW on psxdroid!

I haven't had problems running psx4droid 3.0.0.6. Been playing ffix, silent hill, ace combat 3 and resident evil 1-2 (haven't tested 3) but really all in all its better than fpse, imho. Much smoother seems to utilize more of our phones.

Oh and I don't know about on Evo, but crash runs decent enough for what I played. Only played half of the first level but the actual gameplay was smooth. I am overclocked @ 1.3 btw.

Yes crash works. I'll have a nice update prepared overnight.
I might be interested in FPSe if front mission 3 works on it. Can anyone test that out? I'll email the dev as well but he might not know.

Digimon Digital Card battle runs flawlessly.
Best game on PSX in my opinion.

Okay fpse runs front mission 3 flawlessly except the app does not recognize all the keys used with game gripper. I'm glad that front mission does not use all the button so I can move stuff around.
I won't turn this into a fpse thread but I will list games not working on psx4droid that work on fpse. You all may discuss both emulators anyhow. Thanks again.

We should just do an all around psx emulation thread.. maybe include some settings and the optimal emulator? No need to be biased! Its software after all.

diablo and ff 7
i cant get ether of thees to work. ff7 crashes at first battle and diablo crashes right after diablos head at loading screen. what format was image and is ther settings that need changes? please help

Tekken 2 works on both.

I prefer PSX4Droid to FPSE. Never hada problem with it, except for DBZ Legends could load/start the game.

I do too cuz for some reason I could never get gamesaves I've downloaded from online to work on FPSE, but PSX4Droid became obsolete on the GB builds.
OG Evo on Deck!

I just tried setting this up and when I click on the bin file of Twisted Metal it doesn't start. Icon goes in notification bar to say psx4droid is running but no game. Is there something else I need to do? I downloaded the file from the site the author suggested in the Playstation section. Thanks.

Multiplayer games..

Can someone tell me a game with multiplayer feature... I mean multiplayer on the same device like the one in the asus eee pad transformers advert on asus' site........
And also the game which appears on one of motorola xoom's commercial...

fruit ninja teh tegra version has multiplayer, that is if your talking about the video where the dude it playing with his lady friend

Air Hockey apps allow for dual play, but i've heard the performance of some are pretty poor.
Too bad, it's a good size for that kind of game.

I think it was Glow Hockey 2 Pro.

Glow Hockey 2 is a great game. Most air hockey games aren't very responsive. This one is. Try the demo. You'll like it.

Anyone tried gaming on this phone?

I wonder how well riptide gp performs on the snapdragon s4 with Adreno 225. Something is wrong with the GS3 international version. It's very choppy when there are other jetskis on screen.

I have a sprint s3 and riptide is awesome on it. Very smooth.

Downloaded riptide today, the graphics were top notch and no lag at all...also you guys should check out Dead Trigger its really sweet.

I've played numerous race in Riptide and all were super smooth. I haven't tried dead space yet.

That's good to hear. Now if only there's a way to test the actual fps in a game. I doubt the Egypt off screen benchmarks that reviews trend to use paints an accurate picture of gaming performance. The Adreno 225 performs poorly in off screen test compared to Tegra 3 and Mali400.

Is Nova 3 compatible yet? Btw do games look better on the screen with more pixels ? or about the same as before? Jw since I do not have the phone yet >_<!

Nova3 is awesome on this phone! Super nice graphics. Looked weird on my Atrix4g but silky smooth on the GS3LTE
Also tested Mass Effect Infiltrator with fantastic results.

Downloaded the new Dead Trigger today. Works well with my sixaxis PS3 controller and the game runs like butter! Crazy graphics that rival the ps Vita. Seriously.

Riptide works super smooth... However Dead Space isn't working... It installs but crashes after 20 seconds of the game... Unless someone knows a workaround?

I was able to get those same visuals on my galaxy s2. If you go to options and set the graphics to high check it out!

Games

Can you guys recommend some good tablet optimized games that work well on the nexus and those that are compatible with six axis controller. But if you know any good games please list them. I already have gta vc' mc4, nfs mw, and real football 2013 (soccer).

The bards tale... Great game and very optimized for six axis... It even changes the in game buttons to X and square ect... It's like playing a playstation game on the tablet

'Free'. It makes you pay to get your stuff right away, or you can wait anywhere from 4 minutes to over 1 day. And many of the better upgrades require the same premium currency as skipping wait times. And some of the cars, too. I love it, though, and there are ways to enjoy it.

I saw a hack so you don't have to wait which is what assume you mean by other ways to enjoy it lol.

Asphalt 7 used to work amazingly well with this tablet. The last update ruined it. Instead of enhancing the graphics, the developers have really screwed them up. Plus there are frequent lags while racing.
You can get N.O.V.A 3 or Dead Trigger if you like FPS. Both work well with the six-axis controller app.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who has degraded performance after A7's last update.

Well I just played nova 3 for the first time and its amazing. Haven't tried it with the six axis app yet but looks like it'll work fine with it. Thanks for the suggestions :thumbup:
Edit: downloaded vector as well and its alright. Not very much to it but a fun time killer. But nova 3 is awesome I can't believe I haven't played it before:screwy:

BEat Hazard is a blast on the touch screen. Also great is Super Hexagon.

I really liked Plants vs Zombies, Ninja Village and Magicka. Raiden Legacy is also a game you can pick up anytime to play.

Are you having any issues logging into origin? I had no problems on my htc one but since I got my nexus 5 I can't log into origin anymore.

Does anyone know if order and chaos online HD works in the nexus 5??? !! its the only game i play, if it doesnt i must mod the model

EDIT: it runs buttery smooth just as everything else I've tried!

Asphalt 8 smooth as butter even on high,no frame drops anywhere,
modern combat 4 is fantastic too.

I don't own many PSP games but it looks like they work alright.
There were a few sound glitches on a few (this probably has more to do with emulator quality). But the phone smashes through the frames. You even get a decent amount of speed up.

Ppsspp all the way... currently playing dbz n naruto
