Anyone tried gaming on this phone?

I wonder how well riptide gp performs on the snapdragon s4 with Adreno 225. Something is wrong with the GS3 international version. It's very choppy when there are other jetskis on screen.

I have a sprint s3 and riptide is awesome on it. Very smooth.

I'm also quite curious, will get around to testing it out soon

Downloaded riptide today, the graphics were top notch and no lag at all...also you guys should check out Dead Trigger its really sweet.

I've played numerous race in Riptide and all were super smooth. I haven't tried dead space yet.

Tried Shadow Gun and Front Line Commando both very good with excellent gfx.

That's good to hear. Now if only there's a way to test the actual fps in a game. I doubt the Egypt off screen benchmarks that reviews trend to use paints an accurate picture of gaming performance. The Adreno 225 performs poorly in off screen test compared to Tegra 3 and Mali400.

Is Nova 3 compatible yet? Btw do games look better on the screen with more pixels ? or about the same as before? Jw since I do not have the phone yet >_<!

Nova3 is awesome on this phone! Super nice graphics. Looked weird on my Atrix4g but silky smooth on the GS3LTE
Also tested Mass Effect Infiltrator with fantastic results.

Downloaded the new Dead Trigger today. Works well with my sixaxis PS3 controller and the game runs like butter! Crazy graphics that rival the ps Vita. Seriously.

Riptide works super smooth... However Dead Space isn't working... It installs but crashes after 20 seconds of the game... Unless someone knows a workaround?

You should see it on a tegra 3 device with the added visuals. Its even killer.

Is there evidence of added visuals? I wonder if running through Chainfire will add anything to the game.

I was able to get those same visuals on my galaxy s2. If you go to options and set the graphics to high check it out!

[Q] Any Played Batman: TDKR on their GN7 yet?

Hi all,
Batman The Dark Knight Rises was released today, has anyone here bought it and played it on their Nexus yet?
I'm going to purchase the game later for my HOX but when I get my GN7 I'll probably use up most of my space on this game XD

I was going to buy it just now but read some of the play store reviews, it looks like they messed up the APK itself. Users are reporting 1.8GB APK file + 1.8GB download, total 3.6GB of space for the game.

I've seen the apk floating about on the net and I can see it's only 8.02MB

Give Gameloft until the end of the day, no reason why they launch Spiderman with Nexus 7 support but not The Dark Knight. Seems like a mistake that we aren't supported.

Is it really almost 4GB? I would love to buy it but not if it uses that much space.
EDIT - Apparently an update fixed an issue that was causing the games assets to download twice. Installed the game is taking 1.81GB after I played to the 3rd checkpoint.

Games

Can you guys recommend some good tablet optimized games that work well on the nexus and those that are compatible with six axis controller. But if you know any good games please list them. I already have gta vc' mc4, nfs mw, and real football 2013 (soccer).

The bards tale... Great game and very optimized for six axis... It even changes the in game buttons to X and square ect... It's like playing a playstation game on the tablet

'Free'. It makes you pay to get your stuff right away, or you can wait anywhere from 4 minutes to over 1 day. And many of the better upgrades require the same premium currency as skipping wait times. And some of the cars, too. I love it, though, and there are ways to enjoy it.

I saw a hack so you don't have to wait which is what assume you mean by other ways to enjoy it lol.

Asphalt 7 used to work amazingly well with this tablet. The last update ruined it. Instead of enhancing the graphics, the developers have really screwed them up. Plus there are frequent lags while racing.
You can get N.O.V.A 3 or Dead Trigger if you like FPS. Both work well with the six-axis controller app.

Try NOVA 3 too. Its graphics make it seem like I am actually playing a ps3 fps.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who has degraded performance after A7's last update.

Well I just played nova 3 for the first time and its amazing. Haven't tried it with the six axis app yet but looks like it'll work fine with it. Thanks for the suggestions :thumbup:
Edit: downloaded vector as well and its alright. Not very much to it but a fun time killer. But nova 3 is awesome I can't believe I haven't played it before:screwy:

BEat Hazard is a blast on the touch screen. Also great is Super Hexagon.

I really liked Plants vs Zombies, Ninja Village and Magicka. Raiden Legacy is also a game you can pick up anytime to play.

i've tried Galaxy on Fire 2 HD and its running amazingly good on the tab 3 10.1.. quit a fun game!
but since i bought the tab 2 weeks ago, my girlfriend is playing candy crush saga like a nerd

it's really fun. just use the freedom to get all the songs and without the waiting time. if you're rooted. you're on GT3 10.1 right? i only got the 7.0 though

temple run 2, avabel online, megapolis, flick shoot and jewel star for now on my tab 3 7.0

Real Racing 3, lags and hang sometimes but still playable with amazing game play and graphics

Same here GTA runs fast but Ganstar vegas is verry slow i also have a Tab 1 P1000 and there vegas runs verry fast (CM10.1) 4.2.2
it seems that the P1000 is faster whith all but the hardware is not the same

Ppsspp on note 4

What ppsspp games have you guys played on the note 4?
These are my experiences so far. I've seen videos of God of War running on android, but have not gotten it to work myself.
Working games:
1. Kingdom Hearts - Birth by Sleep (Flawless)
2. Crisis Zero - Final Fantasy VII (Flawless)
Not working:
1. God of War - Ghosts of Sparta (freezes at credits)
2. God of War - Chains of Olympus (freezes at credits)

Which tekken exactly? Which mortal kombat, did you alter settings because sometimes messing with the settings will make or break the game
