Hey,
I am using the AllianceRom with safestrap, AllianceRom installed on stock rom slot. Recently, my phone would suddenly reboot while I am using it, making a call etc, then get stuck in a boot loop until I pulled out the battery, then sometimes it would start up well or get back in a loop.
What I have tried,
- Installing ROM to romslot1.
- Flashing stock verizon rom, phone worked normally for a while, I tried to get back to AllianceRom or RootDeOdex_NCG rom, but no reboots started again after like 2 happy hours.
Leaving phone alone for like 2 hours powered off, then when i turn it on, it works, for like a few hours, then bootloops...
Ideas?

Are you using WIFI? I had bootloops after updating to NI2 whenever I would connect to WIFI. Wiped caches didn't work, had to revert back to a backup ROM

Well yeah, I'd use WIFI after installing the rom to install my apps, and everything would go well, I'd even install apps and use the phone for a while. Then sudden boot loops.
Update: Just installed stock rom, and even re-partitioned using the
Code:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=53447942&postcount=1
PIT file. It boot looped afterwards, then like 2 minutes later, it run, phone is working, holding breath.

No I'm on stock ROM, just noting that I had the same problem and how I fixed it
So far:
only had one surprise reboot. Which I'm thinking is not so bad.
I am on stock verizon still, can't do a wireless hotspot. feel caged! Noticed I cannot send sms unless I use a third party SMS application, might be due to the fact that i'm not on verizon but I'm using Hello SMS (it rocks) so eff it.
- I rooted so I could get rid of the annoying "Sim card from unknown source" message, by uninstalling Setup Wizard. and restored some of my apps with Titanium.
Waiting till Sunday, if all goes well, I will install safestrap and it's back to customRom goodness...
Thanks guys for the help.

I recently had some issues with my GPS so I used Odin to go back to stock firmware, everything was still ok after this and my GPS was back to working order. Then I used CF auto root to root my device again/use TWRP recovery. Then I flashed the latest PAC nightly and gapps with seemingly no problems. The phone worked fine for 2-3 days until one day when it was in my pocket I got a warning saying something along the likes of "SIM card has been removed. Reboot required." Rebooting would make the sim come back online momentarily until it would randomly come back up. There didn't seem to be any correlation with any new apps I had installed or things I did on my phone to cause this error. I thought perhaps it was the ROM so I tried reflashing (complete with factory wipe) and the problem still happened. I also tried wiping factory->system->cache&dalvik before reflashing..again it worked but only briefly. I tried going back to stock but it still happens. Right now I'm running task650s aokp and it still comes up..the sim works in other phones no problem. Any ideas on what might be going on/how to fix this issue?

HELP! I've been using my LG G2 for around 3 months with mo problems at all. I'm rooted with Janjan's custom rom. This morning my phone froze, so i rebooted it. From then on i could not connect to my mobile network as well as Wifi networks. I can see the phone is also scanning the media files, and i cannot open any programs. The phone then restarts itself after about 20 seconds. If i turn the screen off, i cannot turn it back on.
I have already tried restoring to a backup i had on CWM, but the same thing happens.
Has anybody experienced this before? Any suggestions on what to do????
Thanks!
**Edit.
Was able to snap this pic before it rebooted on me again. The "Error" message, stays on even if i exit Settings.
Flash back to stock using this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
But before you try to return to stock, make sure you completely wipe the device in CWM.

hey thanks for the reply. I've tried returning it to stock. Wiped cache and factory reset in CWM, and followed the tutorial to return to stock.
After the phone restarted, it showed stock boot animation and is totally stock now.
BUT the problem is still there. My phone continues to reset itself every 10-20 seconds, and still cannot connect to any networks.

Hmm, that is odd. Do you have a back up of the phone before you changed anything? i.e. a stock backup?
because it seem you may have wiped your EFS partition by accident.
No i don't have any backups, The only back up i had was a stable version of the ROM i was using. And it seems like when i reverted back to stock, all the files in the internal memory is erased as well.
Hey guys, let me start off by telling you I was running stock 12b rooted with the 1.5 Furnace kernel. Been running that for 2 weeks solid, no problems. I added 2 Xposed modules last night, swiftkey something and the one to remove the "full battery notification". I rebooted last after enabling them and the phone was fine. Charged phone last night, took it off charger (working fine) and decided to reboot it. Big mistake! It just bootlooped. It would start for 10 seconds, no wifi no data and then restart. I honestly did nothing......
I got into recovery and tried to restore my nandroid backup but same issue. Right now I am flashing 12b from the LG Flash Tool. Will that fix it? Is there another way?
Thanks for all your expertise
Tried to use the LG Flash Tool and it didn't work. Anyone got any ideas how to get my phone to stay working? It boots, for 10 seconds then reboots
If you think it's something to do with xposed why not flash the xposed disabler zip in recovery? Also have you tried a simple wipe of cache and dalvik?

I finally got the Flash tool to work and got 11a loaded on. So now I am fully stock and unrooted. But, the phone keeps rebooting. Doesn't make any sense. Anyone have any ideas?

Any luck fixing this? I Have the exact same issue with my ls980(Sprint Variant). I've flashed multiple roms, kernels, and radios with no luck. Used LG Flash tool and it always fails at 94%( when it reboots the phone). However, my phone does say unrooted afterwards. I've also tried wiping all data/ factory reset. No luck.... The phone comes on and doesn't recognize any touch for a long time. Finally, it unlocks, and reboots minutes later. No apps or widgets work. The phone only stays on for so long because I turned on the stay always awake option in developer options. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately, I did not find a solution. Amazingly, the only rom that would load was Madallus so that is what I am running. You could try that and see if it will load.
TL;DR - Installed bean's rooted kit kat, new safestrap, and Eclipse ROM 2.0.1. Phone essentially freezes when prompted to shut off or reboot and gets stuck there indefinitely. I also cannot install any apps via the play store reliably from Eclipse.
Hello everyone! I'm fairly new to rooting/flashing roms, and last night I used Bean's rooted kit kat to upgrade my N3 from 4.3 to 4.4. I went with de-odexed because from what I understood it was easier to change themes and whatnot that way (again, forgive me if I'm wrong, still new to all of this). Everything went great, I installed to stock rom slot, Odin detected my phone in DL mode, I installed the new firmware, it updated and loaded all the apps just fine, and I installed the new safestrap.
There was a problem however... Whenever I go to turn off or reboot the phone, the "shutting down" dialogue box comes up and it just gets stuck there. I timed it for about 20 minutes before finally just pulling the battery. It does this everytime I need to reboot the phone and I always have to end up pulling the battery.
EDIT: As of this morning the stock rom appears to no longer be having the reboot issue. My guess is that is just a bug in a Eclipse at this point.
Thinking it might be just a weird bug, I made a partition in ROM slot 2 (ROM slot 1 was where my 4.3 was and I hadn't deleted it yet) and installed Eclipse 2.0.1. When I booted into it and logged into my Google account to recover all my apps like I did just did with the stock rom slot, all the apps que'd up, but nothing showed as installing. I thought that maybe I had kinda just overwhelmed the phone with downloads and went into the play store to stop the que. I started installing about 3 apps at a time to see if it worked better, and I ran into the same issue. Usually when you click "install" on an app, it will show the download process and then start installing to your phone. Mine goes straight to install and gets stuck on an endless loading bar, with no way to cancel or stop it without a reboot.
Rebooting is also having the same issue as before. I cannot shut off or restart the device without it locking into the shutting down dialogue box.
1. Did installing a de-odexed version cause any problems that I wouldn't have had with an odexed?
2. If so, I can follow the same methods I did to install bean's kit kat and reinstall the odexed version? Or would I have to somehow go back to 4.3 first?
3. Are there any other known fixes I should try?

I read your post a couple times and I think you may be using the wrong Safestrap. I could be wrong.
Use stable Safestrap 3.65 for jellybean roms and Safestrap 3.72 or 3.75 for nc2/nc4 roms.
I'm running Eclipse 2.0.1 on Safestrap 3.75 right now and have zero reboot problems.

Yup! This was it. I installed 3.75 and re-flashed. I feel slightly dumb for not thinking of that but I'm so happy to have a functional phone again. Thank you very much!

Had my phone for a couple days and decided to root, safestrap, and flash alliance rom. Everything works great when the phone is running but I am running into an issue when I need to reboot or shut the phone down. If I use the power menu to shut down or reboot the phone screen will turn black like normal. The notification light and recent/back buttons light up like they normally do when the phone is shutting down but it just stays like that, no vibrate no sounds, Ive let it sit for 5+ min and it still stays like this. Any help would be appreciated.

There are known issues with Safestrap... Without even asking, I will venture to say you have created a rom slot and that is where you have Alliance installed.... I found out the hard way too instead of researching what I was doing before installing it. You have to install it on the STOCK slot only and not a rom slot and you will be golden. Odin back to original (drop 5 yards and punt) and go back through the whole process but install on stock slot.
3 finger salute by hard resetting could get you out of the funk.
Thanks for the help, I tried wiping the cache partition, no help. I was on the fence about flashing to the stock slot. I wonder if I can safely restore my backup to the stock slot after wiping the slot1 without bringing the issue with it.

Just deleted my rom slot, wiped the stock slot, installed a fresh copy of alliance and all is great. Everything even runs smoother. Google app and settings restore worked like it should and didn't even have to use titanium.
