Kernal that works with Allshare Cast? - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

OK So here's the deal. I have a Pioneer AppRadio and I'm trying to use an Allshare cast with it so that I don't have to plug it directly into the radio. however, if I'm using the stock kernel the touch controls don't work at all on the radio. If I use a custom kernal (I'm using Blaze Kernel 15) Appradio works fantastically if I'm pluggedin, BUT the allshare cast dongle doesn't work. so here's the predicament.,
1)stock kernel. Allshare cast dongle works, but touch controls do not, and can't plug into radio to work at all
2)custom kernel- Plugging into radio works perfectly, but will not connect to allshare dongle at all
anyone know of a custom kernel that still works with the allshare dongle?
Thanks a ton!

Hello everybody yesterday i received my mojo. Console Works great but the control don't pair with the usb dongle in de mojo. PC and MAC recognise the usb but don´t pair..
However the control pairs perfect without using dongle in Galaxy s4, with the dongle don´t work. Any suggestion? There are any bt dongle compatible with mojo and ctrlr?
Thanks in advance. Regards!

If I understand you correctly, make sure the BT dongle included with the mojo is on the USB3 (blue) port.
Try turning BT on in android setup.. not sure why that would help, but just in case there's been an update..

If that didn't work, raise a support request with madcatz, probably a busted USB Dongle, (it should work fine on PC/android/ect, MAC i think might need drivers)
You can pair the mojo CTRLR to your galaxy without the dongle?? wow!
Man, I'm hoping it's a firmware fix coming
Also: There are any bt dongle compatible with mojo and ctrlr?
TMK, The dongle isn't actually BT, so I doubt there would be an alternative out there.

Yes, i plug the dongle on the USB3 of the mojo, but the controller doesn't pair.
Turning on the Bluetooth of the mojo doesn't detect the controller
in galaxy s4 with stock kitkat and without dongle the controller pair and works fine.
If i power off the bt on sgs4 and connect the dongle with otg USB phone detect new keyboard connected but controller doesn't pair.
Only pair without dongle and with bt 4.0 devices....... I'm confused.
Thanks for you answer man!

What model# is it?
My MOJO CTRLR is 32263 and my the retail CTRLR : 32266.
Maybe different firmware, I would raise a ticket with Madcatz, with a link to this thread.
"If i power off the bt on sgs4 and connect the dongle with otg USB phone detect new keyboard connected but controller doesn't pair."
Is that with the MOJO dongle, it works with a BT4 keyboard?
I hope it's a new firmware release for both CTRLR and MOJO :fingers-crossed:
Does the blue light come on the CTRLR?
Try holding down the start button for a few seconds, the light should go red'ish then try to repair.
That's very strange, did you check that both USB ports on the MOJO work?
I'm guessing it's a firmware issue or a dongle issue.

My dongle model is the same.. strange that it still works on PC/Mac (loading drivers) :/ dont know sorry...
Even with a BT4 USB adaptor, I doubt it would work on the MOJO because android 4.3 doesn't support BT4.
Raise a support ticket on the madcatz site.
that's a bummer, hope you get it fixed soo.
Same Problem here, Mojo paired with my phone but not with the controller. But the Controller works fine with my Nexus 5.
Same problem here. MOJO support doesn't seem to be much help other than disconnect it and reconnect but I can't even get it to pair. Anyone found resolution for this?
I also have the same problem, would installing a lower firmware help?, mine came with the 4k res and ouya update out of box, if I install lower firmware would that solve my dongle problem?
Thanks

No, don't bother.
FYI: @Coolin82 @rmraiden
TMK, the only thing you can do is install the lollypop custom rom, it doesn't need the dongle and pairs fine without it.
See the development forum.
Wow! That's really strange, I use the dongle on my PC(linux/XP) and mojo.. never had issues it, it just works.
Mine is now working. Mad Catz RMA'd my controller and sent me the new CTRL that doesn't require a dongle. Gaming is so much better now!!
Oh nice, you got a retail version.. it has BT2 and BT4 that's why you don't need the dongle.
any solution ?

[Q] Google Cast with USB Ethernet

I recently bought an Anker USB hub with gigabit ethernet and connected it to an OTG cable. My (unrooted stock) Nexus Player picks up the ethernet interface right away and works perfectly... except for casting from my phone. My phone sees the Nexus Player as a target to cast to, but video never plays. If I disconnect ethernet and re-connect my Nexus Player via WiFi it works fine.
Anyone else have this problem?

Once connection through Ethernet is established, wireless is automatically disabled.

It could possibly be your specific adapter. Like sam.balia1012 said, when you plug up an ethernet adapter, it disables your wi-fi. however, even though I have the Inatek ethernet adapter, I am still able to tab cast or chromecast things from my phone to my Nexus Player while in ethernet mode without having to switch on wi-fi.

Pioneer Appradio with the Nexus 6p

Hi everyone,
Does anyone use this phone with a Pioneer headunit?
I'm looking to buy a Pioneer AVH-X3700DAB which says appradio mode can work with just the USB cable plugged in. (I would obviously have to use the USB-A to USB-C cable)
Does anyone run this setup or know if it'll work?
Thanks
I have the DA100t(or whatever model) appradio head unit and i cannot plug mine in and have it work.
3700 is a mirrorlink head unit so you need to look for that support, not personally looked at it as mine is an HDMI model.
DA100 is Appradio 2 and is an HDMI model. The 6P does not have HDMI out through MHL / Slimport so you can't use a cable. You can by default use Chromecast as the casting mechanism, or with a modification to the build.prop a miracast dongle.
I am using a Microsoft Wireless Adapter which is Miracast and it is working fine.I also use Appradio Unchained Reloaded so I get full screen mirroring with touch, not just the limited apps Pioner want you to use.
ARUR works with hdmi appradio devices (requires root) but does not work with mirrorlink appradio devices which are restricted to the poor Pioneer implementation and choice of apps.

Your hole set-up process. I have the SPH-DA120 and just bought the Microsoft Miracast I managed to get it to pair today but the cast quality seems pants compared to other examples on the internet. Any suggestion

No I do not. Its a low res pos screen. Don't expect too much. Maybe try a different home screen launcher
Try changing DPI settings
About to set up my nexus 6p on my appradio 2 using the microsoft dongle. If anyone is monitoring this thread and has any setup tips, please feel free to respond. Thanks.
Root, modify build.prop, enable wiring casting and setup. Using the paid alpha version can automate the cast process.

Can't connect 360 controller with otg USB

I'm trying to connect my wireless Xbox 360 controller with a otg usb cable. But the lights from the gamepad are just flashing and that's it.
I can't navigate through the menu at all.
I guess it has something to do with the bindings.
Does someone here know how to do this with the s6e+?
The otg adapter is working nicely it's no problem to connect a mouse or a keyboard to it.
I'm currently running the latest Audax rom with it's kernel. (MM 6.0.1)
Edit: OK there's definitely a file that's missing. The keylayout for the wireless 360 controller isn't there. Does someone know how to add this?
