Having major issues with my note 4.
I rooted the device with CF and had no problem, I think tried to install the CWM recovery and kept getting a FAIL in odin.
Tried different USB ports, different cables and 3 different computers.
I read to try unrooting then flashing recovery and then root again.
Once I unrooted the phone was stuck in a boot-loop and I still can't flash anything to the phone, not even CF-Root now, just bombs out with a fail.
I think I might need to re-partition the device, but need a PIT file for the note 4 please. All the phone displays now is a picture of a phone a yellow triangle and a computer, I have tried connecting kies but it says the phone is not supported, maybe because it is a korean model.
Thank you in advance
Ok starting to get massively confused now.
I have managed to flash the original firmware back to the phone, I can now do this everytime without fail via odin
But I cannot flash CF-Root or CWM recovery, everytime I get a fail error, even though i was able to flash CF-Root the other day.
Anyone got any ideas please, thank you in advance
Right I have sussed it, reactivation lock was enabled, disabled this and all working fine

Hello. I have been searching for hours like a mad man on Google for a solution to my problem, but i'm having no luck. Excuse the nooby nature of this post please. So I rooted my Galaxy S4 and I am trying to get it back to stock by flashing the AT&T md5 onto my phone (Galaxy S4 SGH-I337) through ODIN and it fails every single time. Initially, with ODIN 3.07, it would return something like fail (auth). Then I tried with ODIN 1.85, but that version returns "Complete(Write) operation failed." In addition, I attempted Kies but it too failed (no specific error code), and now the phone wont boot. It says that the firmware upgrade encountered an issue. I am not able to access stock recovery or TWRP because it will automatically go to Download Mode with "Could not do normal boot" in the top left corner if I in any way attempt to access it. I am using the stock cable with USB Debugging enabled. I also tried two different computers, two different cables (one being stock of course), and tried every single usb port on both computers. What went wrong? I will give you my upmost respect if you can solve this. I also am absolutely willing to supply any information you may need. Just ask. (Please don't be bricked. Please don't be bricked)
-With kind regards, Branden.
Let me guess you had the att mf3 firmware and tried retoring by flashing the MDL firmware via odin? You said md5 so I assume mdl? You might at this point still be able to fix it visiting a best buy near you if it has a samsung center. Also att store can reflash mf3.

Click Here throw this thread in the MF3 pile... guys we got another noob here, take a trip to your closest best buy and hope the samsung experience will flash the mf3 update for u
You mention md5, which as febby assumed I'll assume to be mdl, and twrp. Do you have mdl firmware on your phone and did you have twrp installed. Assuming you had twrp you were probably on mdl firmware. If so, I would re-download the firmware and try again. It would help if you could explain where Odin is failing too.

I never actually got TWRP working. I flashed it through Goo Manger and I was never able access it (It went to download mode with "Could not do normal boot" in the corner). Does this change the type of firmware I was on? In both cases of ODIN, the newer version (3.07) fails immediately after you start the process at around NAND Write start. It returns Fail (auth). In the older version (1.8.5), it reports that the write operation failed. I attached screenshots of both cases.
If you never got twrp to work then I'm almost positive you have mf3 firmware. You're best bet is best buy and have them re-flash the firmware.

There is no way to fix your problem currently so like jd1639 said, take it to best buy to the Samsung Experience area and tell them Samsung Kies firmware update fail and it did this to your phone. Thats what I did yesterday, they flashed it and I have my phone working again.

What did you do before this all of this happened? You need to be very careful with PIT files, it is a sure way to brick your phone if not done right or with the incorrect PIT file. Usually, loading a PIT file is your absolute last resort.

Flashing pit files should be the last resort after failing the proper flashing of the official firmware.
Uneducated flashing of pit files can lead to a hardbrick.
That is why I said. Try flashing the official firmware from a different pc. Or use a different data cable. Or change everything.
Still if the pit error occurs, then flash put and then the official firmware.
Download the official firmware from here

Hello Everyone, i got a note 3 phone
SM-N9005 FCC ID: A3LSMN9005
SSN:- N9005GSMH
MADE IN VIETNAM BY SAMSUNG..
i bought this note 3 phone from UAE and it was with Kitkat 4.4.2 and when i was using it, some apps used to stop and not responding and get a pop-up message "System has stopped" or something like .com.system has stopped responding, also when i open some other apps the phone shuts down, so i turn it on, sometimes it works fine and sometimes it stops responding and shut down many times, so i had to make a full restore factory reset and still have the same problem, some guys told me you have problems with the rom, so i had to look for stock roms to it and found a lollipop rom under this name (AP_N9005XXUGBNL8_CL3643614_QB3415922_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar) and i installed samsung usb drivers just to make sure that everything is okay.
so when i started flashing it by odin it said Fail, so i tried once again but failed again, and i found my phone went to that black screen with (firmware upgrade encountered an issue, please select recovery mode in kies & try again), i couldn't get to my previous kitkat rom after that, but i'm able to go to download mode and recovery mode, so after this( brick) i had to search of how to unbrick it so after that i flashed philz as a recovery mode, and then flashed (All samsung recovery.tar) so then after flashing it, that message of (firmware upgrade encountered an issue, please select recovery mode in kies & try again) is gone, but i got another loop of restart each time i open the phone, it is not booting it is only taking me to the black start screen of android, and after a while it restarts itself.. and then when i tried to flash the same rom once again and connected my phone to my computer, drivers started configuring and so i waited to finish, but it failed it said (MTP USB Device Failed), though i still can see the phone connected over Odin in download mode.
so i had to look for another rom which is a kitkat stock version (N900TUVUCNB4_N900TTMBCNB4_N900TUVUCNB4_HOME.tar) which i found after downloading it and flashing it to my phone that it is for n900, which is normally failed flashing!.
so I don't know if i messed things up or not, and i really don't know what else or more to do ?
please give me your advice so i can restore this phone to its original stats.
Thank You!
Are you sure the first firwmware you flashed is a full stock firmware?. What is the size?.
The second firmware you flashed isn't for n9005. Try different firmware specifially for UAE.

Did you solve the problem?
I tried to root my device (Samsung Galaxy Note 3 SM-N9005) and it went quite well.
Then I tried to flash a custom rom (Darkwolf S7 edge port) on my phone but I ended up in a bootloop where it was stuck on the samsung logo for hours.
I tried different stuff to get out of it but nothing worked so I decided to flash the stock rom onto my phone and at the odin status I get "FAIL". And on my device it shows "Volume Size is too big 4620289 < 4718599. And my phone is unusable. I need some help asap to fix it.
Please Help!!!

Yes,I used a stock ROM from sammobile.com in Odin.
But I get "FAIL!" over and over again...with the message,"Volume size is too big......",on my phone.
Have you tried using different version of Odin, different USB cables, and USB ports? You may need to flash the stock ROM with a pit file.

Hey there Flash!! xD
Its a pain..isn't it?
Anyway I figured out how to fix the phone finally...
You'll need to flash the custom ROM with the PIT,CP,AP, and CSC files.
Here's the link...http://www.tsar3000.com/Joomla/inde...ader-csc-pit-files&catid=55:samsung&Itemid=82
>Download the file suitable for your phone and specific model...Extract those files.. BE VERY CAREFUL TO CHOSE YOUR SPECIFIC MODEL!!!
>Launch Odin...
>Put you phone in Download mode and connect it...
>Load the PIT,CP,AP and CSC files in their respective slots..
*DON'T FORGET TO CHECK THE "RE-PARTITION" OPTION*
>And then hit the "start" button and pray...IT WORKS!!!
However this will erase EVERYTHING on your phone...all the user data...if you have some photos/videos/songs/EVERYTHING...your sd card should be safe though.
I hope this works for you...it worked for me..
Let me know if it does!! Have a nice day!!

I recently received a Samsung Galaxy S4 from my friend as my old phone broke. When i got it, i tried to go into recovery mode and it didn't work and ended up in going in a boot loop. Every time i try and go on recovery mode it says "movinand checksum confirmation fail", so last night i decided to run Odin and flash new firmware on the device and every time i tried to flash it, it says "There is no PIT partition", so i looked around for some pits and i tried flashing them with the firmware, by themselves and i even changed to 3 different cords and when i do it keeps saying "re-repartition operation failed". I have spent way to long on this and i need help!!!

Honestly, I don't think anyone can help here. You want to have a tech look at it, but I believe the flash memory may have failed. It would explain both why you can't get into recovery as well as why you get errors saying there is no pit partition and re-partition failed in Odin.

Either the memory is damaged or the pit file is not correct, or both.
Jtag may be the only solution.
