Evernote for one year - Verizon Galaxy Note 4 General

FYI - this wasn't in the list of Galaxy Gifts, but showed up and activated when I opened Evernote.

It was on the list of galaxy gifts in an email I received.. that's odd

Yup. Just installed and 12 months free.

We're you guys previous Evernote users? I never received that message and I'm still on the free plan.

I was a previous Evernote user, canceled premium a few months back.

Is there a list of 'free goodies' from samsung; also do we need to register to get them? I know with the tablets they were giving you google play $$.

Yes, where is this list of galaxy gifts.. how do you get them?

There are two widgets called "Galaxy Apps," one shows gifts, the other shows essentials. At least on the Verizon version.

installed and logged in, and got nothing. oh well lol

If you're not seeing it, make sure you go through the welcome/setup. The first time I installed it and logged it, I quickly closed out of the welcome card and wasn't prompted for the free year. Cleared cache/data, relogged in, and took the time to do it more slowly. Was prompted for the 12 free months with a card to activate it, one or two screens later while going through the welcome messages.
FWIW, have previously had Premium, but had a free plan at the time of activation.

Great tip - It worked for me!!
Even though I had Evernote installed, it prompted me to update it from the Samsung store which I did. After that I clicked on the Premium button, but all the buttons on the screen that popped up were grayed out (pay monthly , pay yearly) so I cancelled and a card was waiting for me in the main notes section offering the 1 year of free service.

Anyone know how to get the other gifts? Tried the widget thing but doesn't work

Finally got mine to work. Cleared data and cache and logged back in. Once I was logged in I clicked the 'Evernote has changed' card and it was displayed beneath that.

Download the Galaxy App Store from Google Play. With all the other bloat that comes preinstalled, I'm surprised they didn't add that.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=Galaxy+App+Store&hl=en
There ya go

Here's the answer:
1. Go to "Settings" - then go to "Application Manager"
2. Select "Evernote" from the "Downloaded" or "All" tab.
3. Select "Uninstall updates".
4. Open the app when this is done. It should show the 1 year premium subscription right then. But, if it doesn't, then:
5. Go to "Explore Evernote" from the slide menu on the left (the last option in the menu)
6. Select the last option named "Special Samsung Upgrade" (shown in the image)
7. It will then upgrade your account to a premium Evernote account.
8. You can the update the app from "Galaxy apps" in your app tray!

Thanks.easy enough

Not sure what I'm doing wrong but it's not working correctly for me, I don't see it anywhere

Got it without any trouble.
Didn't see the offer on the widget. Didn't see Evernote pre-installed on my Dev Ed Note 4.
Installed fresh from Play store and got a message in the application that I could upgrade to 12 months of Premium for free courtesy of Samsung and Evernote.
Hit a button to activate and it was done.
Activated today (03/18/15).
Thanks for the thread. I wouldn't even have known about the "gift" since it wasn't in the widget.

List of purchased apps using google account?

Hi, I had my nexus one stolen last weekend and purchased another one today. Just wondering if there is a way to lookup my purchased or downloaded apps as I had A TON and won't be able to remember what to grab. Any help appreciated!
Look at your google checkout account.
Purchased apps - will be in your market when you sync your google account.
Downloaded apps - little by little you'll start to remember what apps you use and have.
Your purchased apps will resync to your phone the first time you open the market, you don't have to remember what you had.
Just open the market with your default Google/Gmail account, go to the downloads section and all your purchased apps will be listed with an Orange PURCHASED status next to it. Tap the app and install as normal.

No need to even click on them, just sit back and wait for them to all auto-download.

Only if you have that option enabled, and you're on 2.2.
Personally I only have 3 purchased apps installed out of about 10.

No option needed to tick. And it did the same when I was on 2.1.

Google Play does not show all installed apps

When selecting My Apps on Google Play web site I can only see half of my apps.
I have about 250 apps installed from Google.
You able to fix market links using Titanium backup?

i encountered this problem once...
i forgot how i fixed it, probably by rebooting or logging in different google account...
Try to delete data of Google play in setting - application
then restart phone
This is on the Google Play web site, not on the phone.
I just noticed this problem too.
If you install apps via apk (eg. applications you got on xda) that Google has no record of on the play store, they won't show up.
Hey guys,
I'm having the same issues with my stock Galaxy S III. A couple of hours ago, I became 4 fresh devices directly from the Authorized dealer here where I live. I wanted to update them and set them up properly for my co-workers. I've installed 4.1.1 on all 4, with kernel 3.0.31-256827. Everything went smooth on all devices and I was really fascinating what a wonderful device that is. Afterwards I've created 4 Gmail accounts for all of them (from the same IP address) to install the needed apps from GooglePlay. But one, somehow, someway didn't show any pre-installed apps in GooglePlay, such as GoogleMaps, Gmail, Google+, which should appear, because they're installed same procedure in each case (every device has got the same versione, same firmware,..).
..to focusing back on little-vince's post;
I hope that's not true.
I don't know the way these apps were installed or cooked into, but 3 of 4 phones went smoothly in my case.
All 4 were before the update on the same version, which I did not wrote down. The problem also is, that on another device I had the problem to update the apps via GooglePlay which were shown. There basically was an *update* sign, but when I clicked it there was the text that it's not available in my area.
I somehow think, that the problem is somewhere in the language/locales.
I've switched between the default language on the phone, rebooted it, and somehow I made it work on the second device to run updates,
but on the first device, not even a single installed app shows up, which is funny :silly:
I've also tried to clear cache, wipe everything, factory reset etc.., but it didn't worked out.
If you find a solution, I'd be glad to know.
Sir, you stated Galaxy S III, you do know this is the GNote >>Galaxy Note GT-N7000. Unless you are ref to the GNote 7000.
But I glad you used the Search button to bring this thread up...from June - Sept.
I had this problem once and it was because I changed the screen resolution (lcd density). Google play understands this modification as a "not compatible device", so some apps doesnt´t show at "My apps".
Before that I tried a lot of solutions, like cleaning the google play cache, etc., but nothing worked.

Nexus 7 Gone From My Apps After Root

After rooting my Nexus 7, the device is now missing from the "My Apps" section of the Play Store.
Has anyone else had this problem and know what to do?
Possibly not the right answer, but;
Hit the arrow that is sitting next to the search icon at the top of the market home page. That takes you to your downloaded/installed apps, and you can scroll across to see all apps from there as well.
Umm when you root, you lose all your apps, you gotta restore them
The biggest issue is that Google doesn't think he has a nexus. I give it a day or so, in the meanwhile install off of the nexus.

Umm OP is not referring to missing apps. He/she is referring to his/her device not appearing anymore in Google Play. this means he/she cannot use the Play website to install apps on his/her Nexus 7.
As someone else mentioned, just give Google a little while to update itself. another thing to check is to login at play.google.com, click the settings icon (looks like a little gear) at the top right of page and goto 'My orders and Settings' then click the Settings tab, and check if your device is listed but not selected as 'Shown in Menus'

[Q] Samsung Apps missing from new phone

The icon is not listed on the app screens. From screenshots I've seen of the phone, "Samsung Apps" should be right between "S Voice" and "Samsung Hub". It's definitely not there, and I can't find it anywhere else.
I just got my phone 2 days ago from a Verizon store.

It's a good thing it's not there because the samsung apps is just bloatware,
if you had it and wanted to use it you would need to "sign up" and after
that not a day would go by without samsung emailing you about all of
their "special offers" . LOL

[Q] Not able to update pre installed apps

Hello
I've just received my Nexus 4 and updated to 4.2.2 and associated it with a Google account however I'm unable to updated all the pre installed apps such as Talk, Google, YouTube, etc. The 'My apps' section doesn't shows any pre installed apps. Does this means I have to go in each and every app page and hit update from there
?
Thanks

It's really a one time thing with each pre-installed app that has an update available in the market. If you go to "Play Store > My Apps > All" they will likely be grouped at the bottom of this list.

Thanks for reply. I did looked into the 'All' list but it shows only the apps that I've installed via Play Store not the apps built in. I clearly remember my GN2 showed updates even for the pre installed when I switched it on for the first time.
So is this a normal behaviour in Nexus devices, and if yes, I'll actually need to open the app's respective page and then hit 'Update' from there?
Thanks
OK I don't know what happened, the updates started to show. Thanks all.

How long did it take before this happened? My wife's new phone isn't offering updates to the pre-installed apps, although if I search for each one individually they have updates available. It's been roughly 24 hours and they still aren't showing up. Thanks.

Roughly, 3 hours. Play Store started showing when I switched to a WiFi connection. I guess, it depends upon the Internet speed.
It's because a auto backup feature. To reinstall previous bought apps etc to your new phone.
It goes away after a little bit
