You can't. You have to be booted in order to unlock it. Try to flash the last version that you were on, then redownload the KK fxz

Is Motorola allowing the M to be officially unlocked now? Last I knew you couldn't unlock the BL if you had upgraded past 4.1.1, Motorola had fixed the security loophole that allowed the M to be unofficially unlocked.

Yup . I have an M running KitStalk 4.4.4, but you have to either take the OTA or flash the KK FXZ. Plus, you' might have to because Custom ROMs are starting to update their kernels. I know for a fact that the CM11 nightlies are on the latest kernel.

That security hole is back in action on the KitKat update. It is still an exploit, so it isn't "officially unlocked," but it is certainly unlocked! Go to the KK update, get TowelRoot, root your device, get Motopocalypse (APK works fine!) and unlock that thing!

What does this do? If i had to guess, i would say it has to do something with firmware restoration. Can You Clarify?

From what I know, Verizon has to be configured to work with GSM, so if you install stock, you'll have to probably configure that again. Wait for the firmware I upload today.

Mkay, but just to let you know, all the stock firmwares are signed, and can be flashed with a locked bootloader. TWRP is unsigned, and needs an unlocked bootloader.

I need some help. I am trying to restore my Moto E XT1528 (VZW) back to stock but following this guys tutorial, I am getting a gpt.bin error. Anyways, I wanted to use your tool, where is version 3.0?
I successfully updated from Kitkat to Lollipop on my Lenovo 830LC tablet.
Two further OTA updates also took well.
But the third OTA update today ended up with my tab getting stuck at the boot animation with the boot sound cut off near the end.
I tried factory reset from recovery but still no good.
Can anyone help me with an official stock Lollipop ROM for this model to flash again?
I have a stock Kitkat ROM but I shouldn't flash that as the bios has updated to the Lollipop bios.
I am facing the same issue. After OTA update, my tablet got stuck on bootloader.
Pls help on how to flash lollipop ROM?
I had the same issue with my 830F. After some research I found the ROMs in the russian Lenovo forums: lenovo-forums.ru/forum/398-yoga-tablet-2-8-%D0%BF%D1%80%D0%BE%D1%88%D0%B8%D0%B2%D0%BA%D0%B8/
I used the "(L) ОС 5.0" ROM for my device as this seems to be the ROM to flash from Lollipop to Lollipop.
The download also contains a tool to flash the ROM, but I had to edit the flash.xml because the system.img is to big:
change "fastboot flash system" to "fastboot -S 1G flash system"
I hope this works for you, too.
Any ideas how to go back to kitkat bios so that I can flash the kitkat ROM?

It looks pretty similar to my case. The download I linked also contains the USB drivers to get the device recognized by ADB/fastboot.
If the flash tool then finds your device I would give it a try.

Well you can try without the change, maybe it works for you. I got an error while flashing because of the large file size. The "-S 1G" just tells fastboot to flash the file in chunks of 1GB.
Wow! Thanks @Funatiq
It worked, I flashed a Lollipop ROM from the Russian link you pointed out and with the edit to the flash.xml as you advised.
I'm back to a working tab once again.
Thanks a lot.

Hello Guys,
I'm a little bit disappointed with 6.0.1, because a huge battery drain and want to back on old 4.4.4. Indeed it is old, but work really fast and battery life is much better.
Unfortunately bootloader is locked and couldn't successfully flash via Odin KK 4.4.4 firmware.
Do anybody have idea is there a chance to do that?

The question is: you tried to downgrade with 4 files or only with 1 file?
Thanks.

you can not downgrade your phone to 5.0.1 and 4.4.4 ,samsung has put bootloader lock during COJ5
You can't go back to 4.4.4. You can only downgrade to 5.1.1 coj5.

still there is a possible JTAG solution , search it and you might find the methods

I like the simple design and battery life of this version when I had it in 2014 on a G900A. This Marshmallow and Lollipop stuff is absolute bs. Battery life on Lollipop gives me 4 hours and Marshmallow about 2 hours. I'm hoping that KK would give me better performance and battery life on this G900V.

Nope, only showed this 'Qhub' thing in device manager and didn't show in odin. Found a PD1 unbrick img, wrote it to a sd card with win32 disk imager, put in the sd, held the buttons for download mode, and it booted. Yeah, A total hard brick. I'm not gonna do that anymore, lmao. Found a great way to disable a phone though.
I also have a cid 15 g900v, what can that do compared to a cid 11? I know a bootloader unlock but what's that mean? I can install any rom?

Locked bootloader is called locked because it can only boot a signed, stock kernel (boot.img).
It's locked in SM-G900V by default.
CID15 means that you can unlock the bootloader and use a custom/modified kernel, if you want.
For example, it's necessary for LOS or for rooting on Android 6.0 and above.

So I could build roms if I wanted?
Or you could sell the CID15 phone to me via swappa to make a little $$$? I'm actively looking for one...
I just downgraded from BPB1 and unlocked bootloader and disabled Reactivation lock last night. CID (15) I think it's CID, but 15 none the less. Also I knew the login info for Samsung account. I believe you have to know. I still have all files, but I don't know how I'd get them to you. Also have a paid FlashFire.APK. I can also tell you what you need to fill when it comes time to flash NCG via FlashFire. LET ME KNOW, BUD. Took me months to find all files and the correct method. Now on 6.0.1. Fully rooted.
