Data connection only works on CyanogenMod - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone !
I'm Matt, a Belgian student so don't be afraid of my english !
So I've a SM-G900F since September. Three weeks after bought it, I changed the ROM ! I put a port of CM11. After that, every rom ROM that i've flashed (exept Cyanogen ) was bugged. When i say bugged, i talk about the data connection. Once very slow, once not functionately,... Firstly, i thonk that that was a problem on the APN but i check that and that's not. After that, I asked me over the MODEM so i said, Ok , I'm going to put the original firmware from SamMobile ( The belgian firmware ) with Odin. Yesterday I did it BUT , at the end, they were an error Message ! That was something like that :

So i search that on XDA and i found that i had to put the firmware of my country (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2641965) but that's my coutry's firmware ! So after this failed message, i put CWM recovery on PDA section and my phone booted ! But since that, I can't use any data connection exept on cyanogen. And today, i looked at the G900F of a friend and that was the same baseband ... ANG2 for Belgium ....
Thx for reading and i hope that i'll find a member that he can resolve my problem ! See u

Try to flash this, I found this firmware with information you provided.

Not off hand no, I would have to search and i'm sure we'd yield the same results so i'll leave that to you, if you're rooted and have a custom recovery, have no problem using odin, then i'd flash Neat Rom's rom, there's a tutorial in there which links to a bootloader and modem, ang3 I believe or AMG3, can't remember exactly, but that one works for me so try that.

If i've been understand, you think that i have to flash AMG3 Modem part ? Did u ever heart something like that ?

[Q] Cannot unroot/unbrick my SM-N9005 on bobcat rom 4.4

Hi there....
i rooted my Note 3 LTE SM-N9005 and had it flashed with bobcat rom 4.4. then i had dropped my phone and having some issues with screen. Now i need to flash it with custom rom. I hope I've done everything as per instructions to odin the phone using the default stock rom N9005XXUDMJ7_N9005TMNDMK1_N9005XXUDMJ7_HOME.tar (Bought the phone from Dubai, UAE; my friend's phone is with the same firmware which was bought in the very same outlet)
But when i try to unroot it, everything goes good till finally the left upper box turns red and says "FAIL!" following is the progress i do get during unroot process.

I don't have an idea on what should have gone wrong here. Tried not less than 10times using different Odin versions too, but still the result was same.
Guys, Please give me hand to get my phone back to life. I cannot boot my phone now. another custom rom in my internal memory but cannot boot into recovery either. What should i do? is there any other way to unroot/unbrick my precious (for me) mobile.?
Thanks in advance for all your time and effort put to save my ass.
Am not sure but i think you get this error because you are trying to downgrade from 4.4.2 to 4.3 that not working anymore on samsung at least for the mean time.
Go to sammobile and download the official kitkat (poland) then flash it via Odin

I had the same problem. Flash the device by using a PIT file and have repartition selected. It will wipe all your data but it worked for me.

are you sure its saying that is your total amount of ram? or is it just your available/currently used ram?
if you have 3gb total ram, the available ram will always be less than that.. depending on what else is running at the time, so it will change frequently.
for e.g my note 3 currently says RAM STATUS 1.38GB/2.71GB
2.71GB = total ram (it will always display slightly less than the supposed 3GB that it has)
1.38GB = either amount of ram currently in use or amount of ram currently available (im not sure which way they do it)
but if the second number is anywhere close to 3GB, theres nothing wrong.
same problem probably same phone (

Do you mean if i back up my softbricked N9005 with EFS pro, my network will work? how ???
i already try back up working N9005 efs files to PC then connect softbricked N9005 and restore on it still not working ?
but i will try for to backup as you advice

How do you get the Android OS back?

My Galaxy Tab 4.7.0 stopped working when I tried to erase an app. So I have Team Win Recovery installed. At first I though it was a firmware issue so I had it flashed. Then I realized every time I reboot or power off it says, "No OS Installed." I must have erased it when I used factory reset. So what can I do?

You are dealing with a "bug" common/specific to TWRP
boot into TWRP and use the format data option to correct your data partition, before you do that though,
run adb and pull any important files from internal storage.

That didn't work. I still get the "No OS Installed!" Is there a way to install the operating system from somewhere?

Sorry for replying so late, I've been busy. I tried to flash again and still no luck. It also says the device isn't rooted, could that be the problem why the flash isn't working? I tried to
re-root, but that's not working. I do not know what else to do.

What version of Odin are you using? Because when I connect my tablet, all that's stated is was I had posted before, nothing else. But after reading what is suppose to logged, it may seem the system and everything else was wiped and or corrupted. The tablet starts up to the first screen, and just stays there. A few things I forgot to mention was; at one point when I connected the tab to my laptop, it open the storage which was recognized as Dalvik, or something like that. And this whole situation took place when I installed an app called Freedom. I tried to get rid of it, but Google Play refused to let me login. So I factory reset. It could also be the app Lucky Patcher too. I tried to modify the Google Play to try and see if it would fix the login issues. And I ended having to uninstall the current version of Play to an earlier version.. So I'm at a loss on what to do. I'm might end up getting a new one if there are no other solutions.
My Galaxy Tab 4 (US Cellular), model SM-T537R4 will NOT enter 'download' mode in the usual way (On+VOL-). It simply ignores this and boots into the US Cellular screen, then boots as normal.
Is there any way to access download mode, other than the ON + Vol- method?

At first you must to install USB drivers on your PC http://developer.samsung.com/technical-doc/view.do?v=T000000117#none .
Then go to download mode on your device .
Then connect to PC and install your firmware via Odin . ( this instruction how install firmware via Odin , for example :
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/45899/T230XXU0AOC1_T230ITV0AOC2_ITV/ ).
Second variant : restoring firmware with Kies .
Is there a CyanogenMod update I can flash to a Galaxy Tab 4 (US Cellular), model SM-T537R4 (rooted) using Odin? With TWRP?

Unfortunately I don't think there are any custom roms compatible with your tablet model available yet. Sorry
Although, thanks, did not know about your model number. Will be added to my firmware collection ASAP
Yeah I'm blushing writing this message. It turns out, you're suppose to press the start button on odin to see if the firmware is compatible; I think. Then press again to install it. Wow! I'll admit, I never was never that computer-savvy, but DAMN! This is a new low for me.
Please Update this Problem
Hi Sam, Please let me know if you fixed your problem. I Think I have the same situation. My computer does Not recognize the Galaxy Tab 4. I can put the Tab into download but....computer does not see the tab. Help Please???!!!! Thanks Harold

Help Accidentally Wiped Stock Rom

I have an SCH-i545 S4. It was running Jelly Bean 4.3 at the time rooted using Super SU and still have TWRP recovery.
I was trying to install the new lollipop update manually and forgot to switch from stock to a ROM slot in TWRP recovery and wiped the stock ROM.
I try to use Odin to flash stock firmware and revert to unrooted, but I get the following error: (I am able to get phone into download Odin mode)

Using Odin 3.09 and trying to flash :
ALL_I545VRUEMK2_I545VZWEMK2_1937946_REV06_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar
Not sure if I'm using the wrong stock firmware and Odin version.
Let me know what I'm doing wrong thank you!
You can't flash older firmwares.
Odin 3.09 worked fine for me in the past, buy it doesn't hurt to try a different version.
Also, use the back USB ports if you have a pc.
Try different USB cables and windows versions too. Odin is quite picky.
My setup was Windows 7 x64 Pro with Odin 3.09. Using the back USB and original cable I never had an issue flashing stuff with Odin.

So I should be flashing the latest lollipop firmware vs. the older kit kat or jellybean?
odin is failing when flashing aboot.mbn because the rom has a bootloader that is older than the bootloader on the phone.
Flashing a stock LP or kk should work if the phone was running a stock 4.3 rom.

So booting into download gives the following:
Odin Mode
Product name: SCH-I545
Current Binary: Samsung Official
System Status: Custom
Reactivation Lock: Off
CSB-CONFIG-LSB: 0x30
Secure Download: Enabled
Write Protection: Enabled
eMMC Burst Mode enabled

Sounds reasonable since recovery is probably gone.
This is the verizon version of the phone? Have you tried using the original USB cable as previously suggested, a different USB port, or operating system?

I told you right from the beginning to use the back USB ports.
Anyway, did you wipe before flashing the firmware? Cuz Odin will not do it for you.
have you tried flashing different versions of the rom?
When flashing, did you try unchecking everything except f.reset time? When it finishes flashing, power off the phone by removing the USB cable and then the battery. Replace the battery and boot directly to recovery to perform a factory wipe, then reboot to the rom.

Or you can just hold the power button for a couple of seconds until it turns off
That will work too but I find removing the battery to be easier for me.
