Whatsapp push notification problem - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello!
I'm having a strange problem with whatsapp. Sometimes I receive delayed messages, they're send at 18:00 and i receive them at 18:14. Sometimes i don't get the message at all until I open the app. This is happening with viber too. Either I'm on mobile data or wifi the problem persists. Phone is stock, all updates, sync on, no battery saver or other crap.
Please give me some advice, It's driving me mad.

Google Voice not sending notifications

I use Google voice as my only phone number. Lately, whenever I get a text or a voicemail, it won't notify me. Even if I manually refresh, it still won't notify me. Background data is turned on and I have SMS messages turned off because I don't like getting 2 notifications. If I uninstall and reinstall it, it works fine for a time and then stops working again some time later. If I take out the battery and "hard" reboot, it will send all the messages that have been "hanging" to the phone again. Sometimes, I'll get texts/voicemails that are over a day old and I had no idea they were there.
This makes it where Google voice is pretty much useless to me, especially since I use it partially for work and if I'm missing voicemails, then I'm not servicing my students properly.
Any one else out there have this same problem?
I've had a similar situation with texts -- no notifications. I haven't received any voicemails recently, so I can't comment there. I was glad to be able to avoid having all texts to GV resent as texts to my phone, but I may have to do that, at least temporarily.

Push Notifications Issue

Guys, I'm using the rom PA AOSAL remix
My problem is that I'm not receiving or getting delayed push notification on my Nexus 4
Firstly I thought it was a 3g issue and switch to WiFi (no luck)... the problem is, sometimes I don't receive whatsapp notifications while my phone is "sleeping" I need to open the whatsapp to receive the message in my phone, i receive all messages together when I open the app, it wasn't like this before....
Does anyone knows why? I was using Cyanogen M4 before and getting this same problem sometimes
this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andqlimax.pushfixer&rdid=com.andqlimax.pushfixer didn't solve my problem when I was using Cyanogen, that's why I'm creating this thread
Thank u

Not getting notifications on watch or on phone, driving me crazy!

So lately I have not been getting hangout notifications and it's driving me nuts. I have it paired to my android wear watch and 80% of the time it works fine but other times I get text messages and nothing, no buzz, not even a notification in my task manager letting me know I have a unread message, totally blank. It's not until I go into hangouts and I see the bold text that I know I got a message. Even when not paired to the watch, same thing, no buzz, sound, notificiaon icon, nothing until I open hangouts and see it.
Anyone else having this issue?? Driving me crazy and I already missed plans with friends because of it. Fully stock and on 6.0.1 as of a few days ago and still the problem.
Are you logged into hangouts on another device or computer? Also check to make sure you didn't snooze their notifications.
Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
I had this issue. Try turning off wifi and see if it works. Mine did on cell data only. The messages would come into me on wifi, but I would just not get notified. I did a roll back on it and a re-install and it started working again normally. The first time I had this was on my Nexus 6. This is a LONG running hangouts problem ( various posts out there show it going back to 2012 ).

P10 Plus unable to receive Whatsapp messages when idle

When my P10 Plus is not being used (for maybe 15 minutes or so), I noticed that Whatsapp web is unable to receive any messages. Once I turn the screen on, messages suddenly appear on screen. I have already set WiFi to be enabled at all times and also prevented Whatsapp from being closed while the phone is sleeping.
How do I continue to be connected to WiFi and receive Whatsapp messages even when the phone's screen is off?
Never had this problem on my phone..
I have wifi always connected and Whatsapp not being closed when screen off.
Try to check your notifications management, you must have turned it off there in your quest to "save battery life"
These are my current settings. WiFi is definitely on and notifications are all enabled and prioritized.
If you have the Chinese model that's normal there is always notification delay.
All you can do is rebrand ur phone to European firmware.

LG G6 Whatsapp Problem?!

Dear LG G6 users,
For the last 4 weeks I have a problem with my Phone.
Whatsapp keeps crashing immediately after I try to open it, but if someone send me a message then I can open the notifaction and answer. Via the contacts I can also open Whatsapp en send someone a message.
See the video: I cant copy the link.
Type on YouTube: LG G6 Whatsapp problem from the Channel Petysqua!
I hope someone has a solution.
Everything is up to date!

Same here. I actually can't send anything more than text through this app. Sometimes I can share photos from the phone's own gallery but it crashes a little bit after that. I tried opting out of the beta and factory resetting the phone for no avail. I think it's the app's fault for not having a proper compatibility with Android N because it happened sometimes with my last phone, a Nexus 5X
It is so strange. I have no issues with every social app, just a heavy battery drain not fixed, for me, also with the last v10t update.
I have no issues with any apps. Try resetting your device.
No issues here with Whatsapp
I have issues with whatsapp under wifi, it doesn't seem to be able to connect properly, it takes a lot to send and receive.. If I switch to 4G, it sends and receives messages normally.
iam betatester and i have no problem with whatsapp, so i hope it helps
I use whatsapp to send and receive text along with with voice calls, haven't video call yet. everything works, I get some "reconnecting" with voice calls other than that works great. factory reset your phone and go from there..
