Please read responses before posting feedback, the less I have to read the quicker we can get to a solution
After reading a few posts about the lack of a decent facebook application I have taken up the challenge and started developing an application for windows mobile. I asked kidnamedAlbert to help me with a theme based on a screenshot of iPhone facebook app and here is what he came up with:

The base facebook library is working and has been tested over the last week. Hopefully I can get a very very Alpha release that at least does what it says on the cover out by the end of the weekend

QVGA and VGA Support by taking advantage of .net docking and a really cool drawing routine (Forgot about this one )
Photo Upload and Download (Maybe video ?) I am thinking of using HTC Album to display the downloaded Photos if possible (Why reinvent the wheel if it has nice shiny mags
already)
Lets see what we can add here as soon as the above works flawlessly
I will start posting a changelog in the 2nd post and begin loading some screenshots. I have a few ppl interested in beta testing, but the more the merrier. I am going to try and adopt a "release early release often" strategy because I belive this will help me get to the bottom of most bugs as quickly as possible. As opposed to building a rom, I have more control over this app and will therefor be easier to patch and fix.

Chat ... the code is there but i have not been able to fully test functionality.

FriendRequests is broken and was the cause of the crash. Has been removed for now. Also fixed a few issues regarding SIP, taking Diamond and Opal SIP's into account

We have wall. Well most of it anyway.
Improved loading of friends by only calling images when needed
Tested chat with some friends. Select friend from list. Then initiate chat using the chat button inside the friends profile.

Fixed wall post list. Test did not wrap.
Fixed text wrapping on friends list.
Fixed wrapping on long chat messages.
Friends list will now only load images when a user is selected and then cache the profile image.
Click on your profile image to download you album to phone.

Finally found the bug with the friendslist. Thanks for all the feedback guys.
Cleaned up the code a little. When selecting a friend to view the app will immediatly retreive the image and cache it for the list, else the images are fetched one by one in making sure we dont call the server too much.
Added online friends list to the chat tab which will list online friends
Added Wall Post to friends.
Fixed the Wall bug. I cleared the list once too many lol
Made it a little prettier.
Made the lists a little bigger so text dont get garbled. Might still happen here and there but I am working on a different sizing routine

Let me clear a few things up
Right now the main objective is to get this app working correctly. Once that is done, I will spend time writing new controls to make it look like the mock screen. So many things are still going to change. Just dont see the point in writing controls only to find I am not going to use them.
After having a look at all the ideas being posted I finally started working on the chat interface. Should have a screen up latest tomorrow. The following bits are working just need to be made pretty

I am gonna ask you guys to have a little patience since this is my 1st attempt at a Windows Mobile application and some Desktop habits are hard to break

Okay so I am having a little bit of an issue with the pretty controls. The bottom tab is working correctly, doesnt slide like manilla but it hilights the button when pressed and activates the appropriate tab. Currently the testing is working in qvga portrait mode, As soon as I have the landscape stuff reallining properly the 1st beta will hit the post. This should be ready later tonight or tomorrow morning. Currently I am using standard tab controls. I want to make sure everything works as expected before I start making the custom controls.
One last thing. The program caches friends profiles and does a check when connecting to check for changes. This is currently taking just a tab too long for my liking. Do we need caching ?

Guys I need a bit of help please. kidnamedAlbert is a little busy at the moment and I need someone who can please just help me with the images for the bottom bar. I have very crude images for the hilighting. Looks like crap since I am not an graphics designer.

MS Seem to have swallowed a retarded pill and managed to "forget" to add the rich text box control to netcf 3.5. I am going to try something with the klistcontrols used by so many finger apps for the chat part of the program. A few more tweaks and I will have the beta up in about an hour from now (13:15 SAST)

I love the styling, It fits with both Facebook and a fresh and fast user interface for a touchscreen. I am expecting this is a fullscreen only app? (no top and bottom bars/curtains from windows mobile visable while using.)
And one big feature would be a 'poke' ability as the iPhone page does not, and only the m.facebook page has it. (did not see it on your feature list.)
In any regard, great ideas and work so far by both you and kidnamedAlbert.

if everyone was like that we simply wouldn't have good and stable custom roms because no one would test anything... we simply be waiting for others to get that job done... it's that the thanks you have to give the Dev that work on this rom?

This is a Chinese based rom. It is based on CyanogenMod 7 with modifications mainly in the UI.
Languages are only EN/CN.
Kernel is .35 based on genokolar release. Sources are nowhere to find. It is fast and has a few themes that i never got to download from the theme manager prolly because of the .cn server routing.
I don't know if they have fixed the bugs of the .35 kernel last time i checked there was echoing on speakerphone dunno now.
It's no new rom though it's been around for quite some time. Check out their official site http://www.lewaos.com/ and bbs for updates.

So .35 rom? No force internal mic then... anyway, the UI looks like a cartoon, pretty awful IMO...

It's nice to have a wide range of selection where to choose from. ( = many many many roms)

Wasn't there some other rom too with looks like CM7 and Miui mixed together? This looks a lot like it. And what about the ram, how much does it actually leave free?

I just tried it... IMO, not worth it, it's confusing at first, for example, the settings menu is nothing like we are used to, the only has chinese and english, lags a little, the UI theme looks like it was done by a 12year old, the stock launcher is awful, the notification dropdown is a mess. I liked the dialer (looks a lot like miui) and sms apps though. Besides all that, it's only cm7 with a bad designed theme.
Anyway, that's my personal opinion of course, you guys may like it. For example, I detest the look of MIUI, so...
I've tried the .32version though, don't know about the .35 but i'm assuming it's even worse.

.35 version is probably newer...This .32 one had geno's kernel from the last october.

you must have forgotten that this is a god damn phone invented for phone calls and make your life and business easier,so yes ill let other try it first because i lack of the necessary testing time or possible bugs. what is wrong with you people? and please let me find my own ways of thanking devs rather than critisizing in front of your desktop.

This ROM looks ok, but I wish it was in english. The default language looks gibberish to me, I could'nt even figure out how to change the language because I could not read the menus.

MouSense headmouse (head tracker) is a hand-free application software for computers - one can control the cursor on the screen by head movements. Our latest product is MouSense for Android, a headmouse software for Android based smartphones, tablets and other info-communication devices.
The software uses the latest opensource Computer Vision algorithms to determine the exact position of the head and to track it further. The stability, reliability and flexibility of these Computer Vision algorithms allow us to put them together in a way to create a robust and sufficiently optimized face-tracking software for mobile devices. The software tracks your face using the front-facing camera of the device, displays a small cursor on the screen as you move it along, and lets you simulate touch and API based key events to gain full control over the system.
We considered making a slightly limited alpha version available to the public, so users with different variety of devices can help us improve our product before we release it to Google Play. Its a limited version hence the different action simulations (long click, drag, swype) are not present. Tried but calibration fails each time I run it. Added new support ticket. Though I see another xda moderator has also logged the same fault on a different device.

New build contains helper log reporters, anyone else who had problem with calibration before, please install the new version and send me the prepared logs.

Please try the new version out.
Google Play is the worst place for early software build test, hence most of the end users don't intend to provide any bugreport/support ticket in case of a crash or strange behaviour in occasion. Speaking of alpha stage, there are losts of these occasions.

Decided that this app was a failure, then realized my fan blowing my hair probly wasn't helping. This app is pretty cool I just wish I could calibrate without it force closing

A great idea and excellent concept, tried it on my Galaxy S3
Seemed to fail during calibration but I gave it a go anyway. Works quite well but the pointer is very sensitive, although that may be to do with the calibration fail
I can't wait to see where this goes!

How do I click on something?

Wont work on my galaxy note,calibration failed and no cursor showing up,but it seems it does track head movement,did send log.

Still not working on Samsung I9100, calibration failure, also sent a log.

yep, quite unusual .... I think landscape mode makes a lot of sense for an automation app, because you can see the whole scheme at one glance and the left to right flow feels more natural (at least for left to right reading people) .... the app could handle portrait mode as well, but after some UI tests I decided to make landscape the only mode ... theoretically I could change that with a few lines of code .... so, if the majority of users want a portrait mode, you will get it .. perhaps i should start a poll .... or everybody could give some feedback here

I think landscape mode makes a lot of sense for an automation app, because you can see the whole scheme at one glance and the left to right flow feels more natural (at least for left to right reading people) .... the app could handle portrait mode as well, but after some UI tests I decided to make landscape the only mode ... theoretically I could change that with a few lines of code .... so, if the majority of users want a portrait mode, you will get it .. perhaps i should start a poll .... or everybody could give some feedback here

As mentioned, I played around with the UI a lot. I have just installed an old prototype with portrait still enabled (but nothing optimized) and took some screenshots . It looks ok when you have several events and activities ... but a little bit weird for simple schemes .... ok, I think I could optimize it a bit, but personally I definitively prefer the landscape mode ....
However, if users prefer portrait mode I could add it ....

Yep, landscape is definitively my favorite ....But we seem to be in the minority ... so I will enable portrait via the next update .... so everybody could use it in their favorite mode

Is it possible to change Preferred Network Type or APN with this app? If not, is it something that can potentially be added in a future release or are apps in general not capable of doing this?

Very good Question
There is no official API for this available, but in the past you could hack around similar restrictions with reflection, root and other workarounds (and I still do it for some features like the airplane mode). If I remember it right, you could toogle the preferedNetworkType via an app on older Android versions. I never implemented this feature within my other app ReTag (first release for Android 2.3) , because it never was stable ...it worked on some devices and android version but didn´t work on others ....With each Android version Google implements new restrictions, so it´s getting harder and harder for apps accessing basic functions. From my point of view the problem is the broken and static permission system on android. It´s broken since day 1 and instead of fixing it or implementing something completely new, Google tries to block everything "security" related .... The solution would be simple: provide official API and a stable permission system that enables the user to decide if an app should be able to access this API (on runtime, not before installation) .... just my 2 cents ....
Bottom line: No, afaik it´s not possible to reliable change the PreferedNetworkType or APN via a 3rd party app on newer android versions.

Any feedback for the new Lollipop Mobile Data toggle ???
Google blocks the mobile data toggle in Lollipop and I had to use some new workarounds to hack around this .... I wonder if you found any issues :fingers-crossed:

not much feedback so far, everything seems stable ... a few small issues and only 2 error reports ... I think, I could release the 1.0 version end of January .... so, please report your issues and feature requests till the end of next week and I could probably implement/ solve them for the official (non-beta) 1.0 release ....
btw. nobody so far mentioned the colors .... I like them, but I expected some uproar ....so, last chance before 1.0 ;-P

I've been playing around with it for a bit and so far I like it :good: I'll report back if I find anything.

-Support for 2G/3G/LTE toggle --> Root Required! ... works without issues on my testing devices, but sim related things are always tricky, so you can find it within the Labs section
Plugin API:
-Experimental support for external setting/activity plugins (Locale/Tasker compatible) --> Extremely cool and tricky ---> just use Locale/ Tasker compatible setting plugins with Aauuto ...
The API isn´t public and I would do a lot of things different, but using standard automation plugins makes a lot of sense .... I had to guess a lot of things within this API, so probably not all plugins are working .... especially older and not longer maintained plugins may not work .... tested some plugins and most of them work ....
Feedback which plugin works/ doesn´t work is very welcome ! (Seems that some plugins block other apps than Tasker/Locale ... )

Bugfix update 0.9.1.2 just uploaded to Google Play ....
Should fix a lot of external plugin issues ... found some sort of "legacy mode" .... Greenify and Pushbullet should work now .... also a bunch of other plugins ....in fact, every plugin I tested seems to work now ...
Feedback (plugin working/not working ) highly appreciated .... also some 2G/3G/LTE toggle feedback would be nice

There is a security code for rom, which given to beta testers. Crack will let us baypass this code.

Every beta tester gets a unique code to use at the startup of the rom. The crack bypasses that.

That's something unique, a new information for me.

It is very smooth and minimal, not many apps installed. But most important is that it is Multirom compatible. It had MiUI type horizontal launcher, permissions manager, custom UC styled browser, Baidu IME, a custom market, Google play store and some chinese app I couldn't guess at. I havent installed many apps so its is quite responsive. And there is no quick settings in the notification drop down.

Oh, I didn't realize that, these Chinese OEMs and their need to mimic fruits. The "pull up" gesture is a bit glitchy. I haven't stressed the phone yet, but doesn't seem to heat up much.
