Oh you're talking about the ULTRA power saving mode which basically neuters the phone....I only activate that mode when my battery is at <5%
But i do keep this active
Freaking great feature!
I use the regular power saving mode with a grey scale screen on a regular basis you thought the battery was great? try that mode lol.

hey folks,
it's that never ending question i guess
i buyed that nice KIDIGI Dock for my dhd..it looks so pretty in it..and with the "Desk Clock" it adds a nice look to my desk.
so my question is, if its really that bad to keep it in there all the time. what about trickle charging? does usb support this?
i dont wanna damage my battery..
btw: when i get home, my battery is normally about 60% charged..if i put it in the dock whenever its on 60% it shouldnt damage it right? the memory effect can't happen on li-ion batterys compared to ni-cd ones i guess...
any tips?
how do you handle it?

ah btw: if you wanna have some pictures of the dhd in the dock, it's a pleasure to share them with you!
Li-ion battery does not have memory. They have a limited life time. Normally around 2 years. Whether you charge it or not, does not make a difference.
You can go read the boring details on Wikipedia.
ok thanks...so i think i'm gonna have that great look all the time
btw: this is it

So my s5 is at 75% with just 40 minutes of screen on time, so by this math it'll be about 2.5 hours screen time when it dies on it's twelfth hour. It seems to me like the battery should be better. Is this similar to what others are getting. Usually android proces/system aren't at the top but they are here.

lol mine is at 3hrs at 50% so my math says that i will prob get 7hrs screen on time...
my recommendation would be that you check on what apps you are installing and see the phone settings screen brightness, etc

I don't have hardly anything installed, besides if it was some app I'm pretty sure it would show up on the battery stats, that's why I'm confused.
Hey guys, just wondering what the best setup is for performance and best battery use?
Stock, probably none rooted too.
For balance between battery and performance = stock KK.
For absolute battery but less speedy = stock JB

Stock is better, i believe. I got 9 hours SOT on stock

Disable all syncs, uninstall all apps, don't watch videos, leave screen on minimum settings, turn off google now, turn off fast dormancy, don't use internet/wifi, disable phone radio..
Strange when I had mine on 9 hours + I had network day and Wi-Fi on, fast dormancy just lowest brightness for the last 25%
So I've been getting some pretty abysmal battery life so far. Running out of ideas of what to do!

I've done a full factory reset, which made no difference. And the screenshots above were taken with location services completely disabled! Any suggestions?
There's quite a lot of wakelock time from Android OS and Android System, but would that really be enough to cause this much drain? Then there's the problem of actually finding a way to stop it. It's just annoying as otherwise this is a fantastic phone, and I really want to like it, but this is just putting me off.
I think it might good idea install a Wake-lock detector app to whats happening also check this thread

Thanks, I've been taking a look through that thread but haven't found anything specific just yet.
As for a wakelock detector, I'm not rooted just yet, so there's very minimal information I can actually get annoyingly.
How can I get more battery life on CM 12.1? I am rooted and using Greenify Pro and Amplify Pro. I dont know what more I can do. I am still not seeing any better performance (same battery drainage as before)
