Thank you ^^
I will try the CM
speak very highly of it and what it looks like is that it has better performance and less bugs

Dude, ideally you dont need to ask people about best custom roms here. every dev deserves our respect for the time and effort they are putting for us. Still i can recommend Omega being a stable and noob-proof rom. the other good looking rom that i have tried and found excellent is:-

thanks for you suggest *-*

I would say Google edition based rom, the one by dan is the best I tried.
GE= stability of a tw rom+performance of the aosp roms
Best of both worlds..

[Q] Help with ROM recommendation

Hello!
I'll make this quick and sweet.
I bought my nexus 4 about a month ago and i love it.
However i'd like to customize it, i've rooted it and everything.
I'm currently rocking a 4.3 custom rom.
I need help with recommendation with some ROM, i've tested a few but cant really find out what i like.
Could you guys recommend a ROM for me?
What i want is: Much customization as possible, Decent battery life, Much speed, PIE controls (or something similar to it) and maybe some other stuff what might be useful.
Thank you so much.

I would recommend you SlimBean Rom. Full of customization. PIE, Halo and what not.
I got a battery backup of 1d 10hrs with 4+ SOT , had posted this in Slim thread too. :good:
Just flash it and you will surely love it. :good:
Press thanks if I helped you.

On Beta 5 you can use Hells core kernel JWR version.. but just wait for a day or two beta 6 is coming soon. :good:
The stock kernel is also good, you can test on it and then make a call to take try other kernels.
Well I was on PAC but the last releases were very buggy so I decided to try paranoidandroid nightly and I must say I am very, happy with it! The Rom itself doesn't have all the customization the PAC or AOKP but it has more then Cm!
But the most important thing is that it is 100% stable! And has a very nice battery life! Never had one problem with it!
Oh and Pie and Halo are originally from paranoidandroid so they also work here the best!

im your average user really ...
im using NORMA right now the battery is 50 50 on it...i want something fast with a good battery really....
Battery backup is more or less same on ALL the ROMs. When I say ROMs I mean TW based ROMs obviously.
If you want to extend it use Xposed modules like Amplify, Greenify, Power Nap or those kinds. Really not interested in those things, but you can always do a Google search.
By the way, this post belongs to Q&A section. Why post in under Development section!!!
I've used a lot of roms. Cm 12.1 had the best battery life. But you lose all touch wiz features, like multi window, but some can be acquired through apps. I would suggest getting CM 12.1 straight from the source. Look on YouTube for a tutorial. All of these roms are based on Cm 12.1 or Touch Wiz. So for the most part their all the same. Different skins, different clock speeds, different wallpapers, different themes, but underneath their the same.
Try miui 7, I think it's got better battery than tw or cm rom. It was one of the features of miui 7. Really smooth too.

Help in choosing a Rom

I have been with this device about 8/10 days now, tought i was not gonna feel the need to root, change rom or kernel... well i cannot do it, i feel the need, but i do not see any rom that can get my attention. All i wanted was a stable, battery friendly rom, it doesn't need to have xposed stuff, something like the stock rom, debloated with a custom kernel that would work in a way that i could undervolt overclock and all of that things. I do not mind not having N5 features even thou i like them... does anyone knows of a rom like this? Wich is the best kernel around?
I know i am allways asking things, but coming from another devices allways leaves me a bit lost as i do not know what's the best around. If you could take the time to answer i would be glad

I have tried about 10 ROMs and I really love the AICP ROM. It has about every feature anyone can possibly want and is very stable. I have been using it for about 5 months now with no issues. It has nightly OTAs and is the most feature rich ROM I have found. a couple posts down from the main posts has some tweaking suggestions for battery life and I have no complaints about battery life or anything else. Not stock like you were asking about but I would highly recommend this one.

Echoe rom. Hes not on XDA anymore because his work is always getting pinched so he has his own website.... My needs for roms is almost the exact same as yours.... Do this have a look at this pure note 4 rom.
http://www.echoerom.com/echoe-roms/n4-n910f/
make sure you download this version.....(28 October 2015) N4 Echoe Rom v15 [COJ3] and not the v 15.1 hybrid version for best stock. v15 is the best rom ever.
Reasons...
- Fastest
-Options to customize and change back to full stock feel
Overclock to 3.07ghz with most amount of tweaking (GPU OC also to 800mhz)
Very....Very... VERY Battery friendly.. ( Many user average 3 hours of webpages screen on time and only 10 percent battery usage...)
Erm....Bad time to ask.... What phone do you have.... n910f?

Yeah mate never dirty flash. Its unhealthy:laugh::laugh:...
Mae sure you update to the latest modem COJ3 which he also provides links for. Take a look at the pure note 4 forum thread and look at echoe roms link to download it.
Download v 15 and not 15.1 ... because 15.1 has note 5 theme which has small issues atm.:good::fingers-crossed:
stay with stock, just root it.. i tried almost all roms, and none was to keep.. i like it clean, and not thrown in a bunch of stuff, and the batery and performance is amazing, once you clean the bloat and do some tweaking in services.. if not then probably kyubi for the note5, which is almost the same as stock, but still there are some small stuff that irritated me

Thank you. Could you please post which exact Stock steps did you follow ? Maybe links to where to go ? I have a T-mobile Note 4, and this thing is getting very slow. I would like to improve battery, speed, and camera.

I actually didn't like it i am back to stock without root. The rom that i wanted to try is not acailable for the 910F (Sixperience) so i won't bother to be rooted again unless there is a rom that has what i need.

Worth unlocking?

Hello,
So I recently got an Nexus 6P and been wondering, should I unlock it? Would if be worth it for the kernel and etc.
(I've had past experience of course, just not sure if worth it on a Nexus device)
Thanks[emoji14]

Thats something you have to decide for yourself.
If you want to root, use other kernels or roms you must do it.
If you are fine with it how it works now dont do it.
But i asked me the same question and i didnt regret to do it.
Im on the Pure Nexus Rom and everything works as smooth as before + a little bit more features.

Thats like religion; everybody has his own opinion. Pure Nexus Rom is very near to stock. You can modify a little bit like the statusbar etc. It also included SuperSu for Root Access.
(Maybe other Roms are very good too but i only tried this on 6p.)
You dont NEED to flash a rom, stock is fine too of course.
Nobody can tell you if you should do it or not, thats something you must decide for your own.

If I do go to unlock bootloader, I'll try a custom kernel Stock firmware is nice for stability and performance at the moment.

No problem,
but if you are really new in the root/flash/modify etc. scene, i can only give you the advise to read a lot about kernels.
Because flashing a Kernel modifies stability and performance more than the rom.
(Please all kernel-fans, dont hit me for my next sentence )
I dont use a costum kernel on the 6p because im not convinced that it will be so much better than the orginal, its smooth as **** and my battery life is absolutly great. So there is for ME no reason to flash a kernel.

Good point.
Wow, that's good if your battery life is great and performance is good, on par with mine.

Hi. I've installed too many roms. For me the best Lollipop based stock is *MBP v4. (With stock kernel and some of s6).
*Based CM L. is RR.
*But I always back to Firmware Kitkat Stock (the best).
Bro I,ll Prefer Firstflight 7
