Screen issues?

This morning, my screen wouldn't turn on. I felt the vibration when I held down the power button and managed to power off the phone by remembering where the buttons were. I turned it back on and it was working again. Later in the day, when I tried to unlock the phone, there were black and white lines all over the screen for a few seconds. Is anyone else having problems like this?

Another frozen Nook

I let my Nook Simple Touch unattended for a couple of weeks. After I returned , I tried to waken it by pressing the n button, but it was unresponsive. I then proceeded to charge it fully. After the charging led turned green, I tried to wake it again. This time, it partially woke up.
Only the top right part of the screen flickers when I hit the power button. The rest of the screen is a unresponsive mess of grey and white.
Things that i have tried from reading around the forums:
1. Hold power button down for 10 sec,30 sec and two minutes
2. Hold power button down till screen flickers, and then hold both lower page turn buttons for up to a minute.
3. Disassemble the NST, disconnect the battery for two hours and press the white reset button , reconnect the battery.
Nothing has worked, and I am not in the US to be able to go to a B&N store. Would appreciate any help.
My nook is rooted

[Q] Blinking green LED phone off or appears to be

I need help fast guys. So I put my phone on the charger last night when it got down to 10% and when I woke up a green LED was pulsing and it wouldn't respond to the power button. I've held the power button down 10secs, tried power+volume down. Tried hitting it multiple times. Nothing. Screen stays off, funny thing is I never turned the phone off. So unless it rebooted it shouldn't be off. I searched a ton for this and didn't come across any info on a blinking or pulsing green light and screen will not turn on. Can anyone help??

Problem with a friends S5. The screen keeps going out.

When I turn the phone on the screen lights up for about a half a second and show the logo. The phone fully boots and all buttons work. When I push the power button to turn the screen on it does the same thing. I can see that its at the home screen. There is no water damage and the phone hasn't been dropped. Sometimes I can get it to boot up with the screen working right. Is this a common problem? What is the cause of this, bad screen, mainboard, software?
Thanks
