dsp manager on GingerJHv5 Linux version

i am using this rom
(ROM)GingerJHv5 Linux version for Alfs-cm7 & nAa11
but i want to install dsp manager and gingerbread stock music player
can anybody help me how to install via rootexploree and what to set the permssion
i already have the apk of both this

ok finally installed dsp manager via root explorer also tried to install stock gb music player via root explorer it gets installed but force closes any body help

Viper4Android NOT Working with ROM(s)

Viper4android isnt working.
1.Not working on both iNTrinSic and Negalite ROMs
..........The settings do nothing. And for some reason I didn't get any audio filters. "Impulse Response"...so i downloaded them and placed in the right folder...toggle through them with nothing.
3. Current setup is iNTrinSic 8/6 build...comadose...7/24 KT Kernel..with newest Viper4android build installed as a system app...with proper drivers installed
4. Driver Status looks normal except for "Processing" says "no"
5. Tried the safe mode/fx compatible mode/reinstalling drivers/tried multiple music apps

Have 2 music apps installed, such as play music and stock music player start a song on 1 player and interrupt it with a song on the second player...Then viper will work with the player you interrupted it with...If this doesn't work reboot and try again...You will have to do this after a reboot or powering off, but you will be good other than that...

This has worked for me, though I never realized what i was doing. On another note, get a root browser of your preference and make sure the viper APK is in /system/app and not /data/app. I forget what ROM I was on at the time, but after struggling to get it to work to no avail, I realized the dev put the APK in the wrong place. Odd thing is, it would work sometimes, I think with the above method, then it wouldn't. It's a fickle beast on our devices, hopefully subsequent versions of the software should be more stable. It's annoying, but Viper is AWESOME when it works. Slightly off-topic, but the HTC One X Beats IRS is the best if you really don't know what you're doing with the settings, and for someone mildly familiar with the other settings like myself, it's still a good overall foundation to tweak from. Viper works just fine for me on both of those ROMs, I am however using Poweramp. Although it also works with stock music app and MX player pro also. I have purchased two of the .irs packs also and these work just fine too.

I was having trouble getting Viper4android to run correctly on my TouchWiz Rom too and here is a solution that works:
Download Build Prop Editor from Play Store.
Launch Build Prop Editor and change the following lines if they exist:
Ipa.decode=true to lpa.decode=false
tunnel.decode=true to tunnel.decode=false
lpa.use-stagefright=true to lpa.use-stagefright=false

Doesn't work for me either

[APP]-Apollo and DSP Manager for 4.4 - Updated (4-12-2013)

Hi Guys,
I have bundled DSP Manager and Apollo. It also includes the libs for DSP Manager. It removes MusicFX.apk.
It should work on all roms for Nexus 5. It only works for locally stored files and will not work with bluetooth etc.

Apollo and themes.

Download Zip
Place on SD card
Boot to recovery
Install ZIP file
Reboot

does it work?

I got an error during Flashing using TWRP.
E:Error executing updater binary in zip
Error flashing zip (file location)
i know TWRP is having issues...so I'm going to try updating it (haven't updated since it was first available) hoping someone with CWM will test this out to see if it is a ZIP problem or a TWRP problem.
EDIT: i was already on the latest TWRP

Just tried to flash on my nexus 5 with CWM and it errors:
E:Error in /data/media/0/DSP+Apollo_Tomvs16_N5.zip
(Status 6)
Installation aborted.

OK, seems to be a problem with the ZIP then.
hoping OP can fix this. i have some serious BT high volume issues and DSP is pretty much my last hope. i hate having to adjust the EQ all the time for wired and BT volume fixes....ugh

really? that goes against everything i have heard/read....but I'm willing to give it a try.
what did you do? extract the APK from the ZIP and install in system/app and give correct permissions and it was working?
Edit: just installed the APK as mentioned above without libs and it isn't working over BT. didn't try wired though.

Will try to fix zip tonight. Have a lot to do. DSP Manager does not work without out libs. It starts and stuf, but the missing libs mean that it can't do anything.
Edit: Uploaded new zip, should be fine now.

Zip file was not stored well. I took the liberty to correct it. I have to test their functionality but now at least it can be flashed.

OK, the new one flashes just fine.
however, when messing with the settings (both wired headset and Bluetooth) I can't say that it is actually working. admitidly, my hearing is not 100% but whenever i would play with it in the past, and i would switch compression strength, it would cut the audio for a split second and i could hear the difference. also, switching EQ presets, using Bass Boost, changing virtual Rooms ect, I dont hear a difference at all.
is this (DSP manager and Libs) just not quite ready for 4.4 yet?

I used all the audio configs from CM11 and libs from CM11. I would guess this is the problem. But unforunately I do not own an Nexus 5. So I can't test this myself.

nope, I was mistaken. it is working on locally stored files through apollo.
i just though it worked through streaming music from Google music, pandora or Songza but aparently not.....sadface

Pandora uses his own audio decoder, so that wouldn't work. And indeed, it only works for locally stored files. I don't know if Cyanogenmod will ever implement this in DSP Manager. So for now, just use Apollo.

Downloaded and flashed, working like a dream

Bass-boot , dinamic range compressor , eq seem to work but Sometimes there are crashes and freeze audio

That's odd, I've always used the DSP manager with my Google Play Music sub and it has worked great with the streaming media.

[Q] No sound while playing Hi Fi music with stock player

Hi guys. Recently I revert my firmware to 4.2.2, then I root my phone using ioroot, install CWM, and flash dorimanx kernel 2.9. Now stock music player does not produce any sound while playing Hi Fi sound (the Life is good song) but still performing well on mp3. Anyone have same problem ? One more thing, how to make my new music folder indexed on stock music player ? It can detect my music but not showing my folder on the folder tab. Thank you.
note:It appears that all music player cannot play Hi Fi (flac) sound. Kernel issue ?

reboot, or open the file via file manager, usually that does the trick.

Good day all......I used many roms like s5,hyperion 8,9,chobits digital,cm11,..but all the roms except Hyperion 9 have same problem.I have to to install mx player and codec to get it working.so the problem is that,if I first install mx player it installs properly..and when go for installing codec it says 'app not installed'.the same happens when I install mx codec and the mx player doesnt install.
Great news is they both install correctly only on Hyperion9 (only 9 not 8)Rom.
I opened it and started playing movie "Edge of tommorrow"560p(Great movie) I havent even played for half a minute and mx player closes itself without warning or anything...then played a 144p small video same things happens but it stays a minute.even if I got to settings it happens...same.
here what I tried;
I reinstalled the rom by wiping cache,dalvik cache,system,data,battery stats,factory reset/data....same problem.in other roms the player and codec doesnt get installed.
2.unistalled and installed the apps on H9...same problem.

Are you installing it from the playstore
You are going to have a big problem if you are not
The codec gets updated along with the main programme and will only install if both versions match
Uninstall both the main programme and the codec and install from the playstore
The correct codec is armv6
From memory do not use armv6 with neon

No luck....same thing player gets installed and codec doesnt or reverse.I used free version with codec in s5 reincacination(as the pro wasnt getting installed)....both install but says *internal files doesnt support this version of mx player* and in hyperion the free version doesnt get installed...and one more thing....in s5 rom the app installed only when installed from package install and not from verify and install...tried in other roms but same problem...

If you have problems with verify the most likely cause is problem with gapps
Flash the correct gapps via cwm with system mounted
Note if it bootloops you will have to format data (I advise formatting data before flashing anyway)
