Hi I have I Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9505, I would like to install a custom recovery but I'm worried I might stuff it up somehow and brick my phone. Can someone help me with the steps and if its easy to install or remove, also after I install a custom recovery I would like to install an s5 based ROM

You have to look for a flashable .tar file so that you can install it with Odin.
Here you go for CWM

Hi.
When i got my i9500 i tried rooting it with a guide i found. It didn't work and i ended up flashing the phone with a stock rom, and re rooting with an updated and working guide.
Rom manager says i have two custom recoveries installed but when i try to boot into a custom recovery (CWM) it will not boot, instead it is booting straight to stock recovery. I think they may not have been removed when i flashed the stock rom.
Could someone please help by giving me instructions on how to get it working again.
Thanks for you help

Just Switch off your phone & Then press Power On+Volume up+menu button. You will go to recovery.
In the post i said that it will not boot into any of the custom recoverys that i have. Is there a way to remove them?

Hi I'm just wondering if it's possible to use custom roms on my device anymore after installing Samsung android 4.3. Warranty doesn't worry me anymore and I have done in the past but it just seems to hang now on the Samsung galaxy s4 screen now. I can install a custom recovery I think it's cwm 6.0.4.4 then install a room but that's as far as I get.

I've a 4.3 stock rom installed from the box for my s4 let version . I want to install a custom rom. In order to do that I need to install a custom recovery that I'm unable to flash. It does flash but it does not boot into recovery. It only restarts my phone. Knox New security is messy. Any idea guys. Need help urgently?

Hello. I have rooted my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 using Kingo Root program and it was successfully completed. I am wondering what's the next step to take to get custom ROMS. I'm wanting to get CyanogenMod 11 into my phone, but I don't know how to do this. Please help, anyone.
Thank you.

Hi, what you have to do is install a custom recovery like CWM or TWRP via Odin (a computer program) and then you enter the recovery with your cellphone and there you can flash new roms, you can search via google, there you will find excellent tutorials
It appears that my Bootloader is locked and when I tried to install a custom ROM, it put me into boot looping.

Pls do google or search youtube. you can find a ton of rooting.
I have TWRP and I can flash my ROM and whatnot. For some reason it won't flash CM11, but it adds the updated Gapps. Any suggestions?

Hello Everyone just want to ask before I go to root and install recovery Im still stock and not rooted so heres my idea to root and install custom recovery
1. Root using towelroot
2. Install recovery using Flashify
3. Install custom rom
can this method work? anyone have tried this? since I dont want to use odin because Im still noob
TIA
Towel root may not work, you may have to use Odin because Samsung patched their kernels.

It's personal preference, but I personally like to use TWRP.
