Hey,
I'm trying to find some info about how SlimRoms started, who founded it and why? What was the first supported device and how many installs (downloads) did SlimRoms counted so far? How many devices are officially supported and so on...
Any idea where to find that information?
Maybe @Tylog has some insight on that?
Background: I want to write a little article on that matter. And Wikipedia (or the net) doesn't tell much.
Thank you.

Hi Xoom community,
I just created a Xoom Wikipage at xda developers wiki:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Motorola_Xoom
I would like to create a documentation in this wiki and wait for your contribution.
Especially I am looking to provide information to:
* FAQs
* Modding (Flashing, unlocking, ...)
thanks for your help.
I added a couple of device versions you were missing...MZ605 (umts_hubble) and MZ606 (wifi_hubble).
Help needed in wiki
Hi,
would like some Help in the wiki:
Create a screenshot of your battery life describe your model and firmware and explain your usage and post it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Motorola_Xoom/Battery_Lifetime
Write a short review for a Custom ROM of your device: http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Motorola_Xoom/Custom_ROMs
Thanks, Thomas

Have you already looked into the kitchen code or identified a problem ? There shouldn't be much special in terms of support by "android kitchen".

Yes, me and my partner have already started working on this. But it's not easy since we don't know how some files work. And what do you mean by special support?
Sent from my unlocked and jelly bean'd S3
First of all, I am sorry if I am not allowed to post this here. I selected this is a question and got the popup that questions are not allowed here but only in Q&A threads but at the same time there are plenty of [Q] topics here and the mother thread says it is Coding Discussion, Q&A,.......
Now to my question, I am relative new to Android programming and just know some basics so far. I have an app that I want to make and for that I need to use geolocation. I searched on Google for Tutorials regarding this but all I found was from StackMob and their download links are not working anymore. If anyone could point me towards a working tutorial for geolocation I would appreciate it greatly. Thank you very much.
You should use the the Location Services API in the Google Play Services library. The official documentation provides an in-depth look and a step-by-step tutorial on how to retrieve the current location, search for "Retrieving the Current Location" on the official Android dev site, and check the first training. (sorry, I can't post links yet)
Hi there,
this morning I was trying to find a tutorial on how to unlock my phone but to my surprise I couldn't find any information from trustworthy websites like xda. Can someone please tell me if there's a way to do it?
Aside from this, I saw a lot of fake websites offering custom roms for lollipop(the type you have to answer a survey). Are there any good custom roms for this phone?
Sorry if this is not the right part of the forum for this type of question but I couldn't find a post for this specific phone.

I have the exact same doubt! My device (Huawei Y625 dual SIM) is lacking some functions (like make video with lenses on snapchat, and so on) apparently because the OS is Android Kitkat. How can I fix it? Help me please :fingers-crossed:

So I know this is an ancient thread, but what's the status of this project? The link in the OP no longer works.
