Hello everyone, I'm not sure what the problem is, but since a few days my GPS no longer works as it should. There are some apps that work and then others do not. I've never had before and I've tried everything to get it right, but to no avail. I'm crazy. Is there an app or something to test the GPS and see if everything works?

I have an s view case that worked fine on the stock rom. After I installed beans v1 and v2 I couldnt get it to work anymore. Besides being a new rom, it is mj7 and has xposed baked in so it seems like there could be a lot of possible reasons. First, is there any kind of setting that needs to be set for it to work? Second. Is anyone else having issues or more specifically do you have it working on beans 2? Any help would be great.

I tried "every" custom kitkat rom and I never got a satellite fix. It works fine on stock and stock based jelly bean roms. I know that some others have the same issue. I'm on an 802. If you had the same issue and actually solved it please let me know. If you still have the issue, let's find out what we've got in common to find a solution.

Have you tried resetting the gps A-Data? There is a couple of apps in playstore witch can do this!
Do you have Tele"hor" or Netcom?

Yes, I have. And my carrier shouldn't play a role when it comes to getting a satellite fix. Takk uansett.
First time it can take several minutes, just be patient and on an open location

I see dozens of satellites immediately but they never lock. Not after waiting for hours unfortunately.
You need to do a nandroid, wipe and install a stock based rom, get a gps lock, and then wipe and restore your backup. That's what I ended up doing (also installed the gps fix zip under stock because I still wasn't getting a lock), and it seems to still be working a few days later.

I had to do the same steps. Worked for me as well.
I waited half a year with starting this thread, hours later, @vertigo uploads a build of omni rom which has the issue fixed. Hooray!
I rooted and flashed my sprint s4 with gummy ROM android 4.4 kitkat. First few weeks it was flawless and everything worked perfectly fine. Now my data is hardly working. Sometimes (very rarely) it might be working but for the most part nothing. It shows all bars enabling me to make calls and text but no data. Id appreciate it if anyone can give me some advice or a solution to the problem. Thanks
Try flashing a TW ROM and update prl and profile. Then go back to gummy

Ok I have looked everywhere and tried many fixes including the AT&T fix (put me into a bootloop) and clean flashes... but nothing is working.
Here are all the steps that i have done.
I have a Bell note 3 that was rooted on JB. I sent it into repair after unrooting (it still said custom but i guess they overlooked that). When i got it back it was running KK official.
I rooted with autoroot and flashed X-note with Civz kernel and the wifi/nfc fix.
Now everything is running great and i still have knox 0x0 (which is good)
EXCEPT my GPS is not connecting. I am using GPS status and it will show that there are satellites to connect to and will take a really long time to connect, then it will drop everything and say that there are no sats to connect to...
I need my GPS and am willing to sponsor a beer+ for a working solution...
And is there anyone out there that has seen the same issue?
Thanks in advance
I rooted my note 3 with x-note! I was having trouble with the gps before and after rooting as a taxi driver it really is passing me off!

Try replacing the GPS config with this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=by.zatta.agps
It worked for me and I'm also using a Bell N800W8. My GPS behaved perfectly while on stock, stock rooted (with custom recovery) and at a point after flashing several roms it broke. Now it requires this app to work. I've also gone back to stock (knox 0x0) and couldn't get a lock.
Obviously it's a software issue I'm just unsure why flashing the stock firmware didn't fix it and a fix is required.
Good luck!

No offence taken
I posted there twice and it got buried within the hour and never got ansered...
Im a volunteer EMT and i rely on my GPS to get to emergencies, i needed a resolution ASAP.
I ended up just flashing vision-x n900w and now the first GPS fix after a reset can take up to a min (but it gets a fix which is an improvement)
But subsequent fixes take only a couple of seconds.... so i guess i have to live with that...
Thanks for the help (and i'm usually good with forums but i had to make an exception this time)
I have the same problem not running xnote or with at&t. I was rooted with xposed. Have tried restoring stock with odin but still doesn't work. I can run a AOSP rom and it works fine so not thinking its a hardware issue. I will start a new thread as this isn't specific to xnote.

My phone is the Sprint GS4 currently running Danvdh&Ktoonsez CM11 based rom and Im very happy with it except I'm having trouble getting GPS working. fwiw my boootloader is NAE and baseband is MDC
From the reading I've done on this topic, (to no avail unfortunately) it appears to be a common problem with cm11. Any help pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
Update. I redownloaded the ROM and did a full wipe and then reinstalled and now GPS is working, Hooray. However the compass is still not working. I'll keep looking but will gladly try any ideas you might have.

You need to calibrate your compass. Very easy to do. Check the video to see how:
I tried this now and it seams to have helped but my compass reacts very slow not quickly like the phone in the video. However slow is better than not working at all so thanks.
