You have to check to make sure if your network supports it, and also your phone must support it.

My network (Orange Romania) supports it. I had it active and worked perfect on my previous phone (Galaxy S4 i9505) but on the new G900FD I have no HD voice even if connected to 3G+ or 4G....
The service menu *#0011# does not have any option for HD Voice.. what else can be done?

If the phone supports it, typically there will be a printed label on the box.
Please check the box.

On the box does not appear HD Voice logo while on the S4's box is specified HD Voice.
So, I guess the G900FD does not support this cool feature...

Just got this new update and successfully tested video-call from my tablet to PC. It works!!!
WOW. That's a great news. I'll test it once I reach home
At last it came to honeycomb
From Skype app change log:
The following devices have also been white-listed for video calling in this release:
Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (T-Mobile)
HTC SHOOTER (KDDI)
Sony Ericsson Xperia Live with Walkman
Sony Ericsson Xperia neo V
Acer Iconia Tablet (A500)
LG Optimus Black LANDSCAPE ONLY
LG Optimus 3D LANDSCAPE ONLY
LG Optimus 2x LANDSCAPE ONLY
Motorola Photon
Motorola Droid3 LANDSCAPE ONLY
Motorola Bionic LANDSCAPE ONLY
Motorola Xoom
Motorola Atrix
Not working here. I updated and I still could not get video call. Can you please post the apk.

If you tell me where can I find it.

Ya, it works. Need to enable it in settings. Why is that off as a default?
Ha. Just tried it and it works like a charm. Awesome!
Confirmed.... New version 2.5.0.108 released 9/29 ..... YOU MUST ENABLE VIDEO IN SETTINGS... Works on 10.1 retail... (obviously Non T-mobile).

It does work for me too, have to enable in the setting, AWESOME!!!
I loaded it on my stock Tab 10.1 wifi only. Here are my results...
- I can communicate to my desktop but I get a message stating that the connection is too slow for video.
- I can NOT even connect to my HTC Thunderbolt (Android 2.2) phone. I can chat with the phone but video connection doesn't even ring on the phone and vice versa.
- The HTC Thunderbolt communicates beautifully with my desktop. No slowdown and a nice picture.
Seems that the Honeycomb version of Skype still needs to be in the oven until it's done baking.
ooVoo Always worked like a charm...However I did install skype just in case I needed it.

Works great on my wifi only galaxy tab 10.1
Thumbs up here! Just make sure you enable it in the settings. After it prompts about "might not work" just ok through that and you get video!!

Just after logging in ( where you can see icons for contact, profile etc.) use the 5th button(next one to the screenshot button) on the notification bar.
finally it works, great
Hey guys, had a question. I'm using a Galaxy S4 Google Edition on TMobile and want to know if it is possible to make HD Voice calls with this setup? From what I can tell my phone calls are currently using the old narrow band codec (they sound about the same)
I saw on another post that you can look at the "Service mode" to see if the wide band codec's are enabled, but it looks like those directions only work on a GS4 running Sense UI.
Thanks in advance!
Any luck on finding out whats up? I can't believe no one else has brought this up....

There isn't native video calling on Android that I am aware of, Well I have never seen any on models I have used anyways. Use Hangouts/Skype or have a look around the play store.
EDIT: Actually scratch that, I have it on my ROM, contacts > view contact and it'll show video call option
i try that view contacts but i still the same no icon for videocalls

To share live video, tap on Update Status and then select the Live Video icon. You can write a quick description and choose the audience that you want to share with before going live
Exactly, that I know, but when i tap the update status there is no Live Video Icon, altought i have the app updated ! it seems like Samsung doesn't care for their customers. neither in S5 or in Galaxy Tab S 10.5, in none of them i have the Live Video Icon !
there is another app there it seems
