Are you serious? Make a nandroid backup with a custom recovery like TWP, CWM or Philz Touch.

I accidentally blasted my stock recovery backup... can someone put one up? would that even work (me restoring someone elses stock recovery)?
The clockworks won't let me power off the phone while its in the charger and I don't want to RUU if I don't have to.
Thanks

Its NEVER a good idea to try to restore a backup from a different phone to your device. Just run the RUU and do over. Then store the new nandroid backup to your hard drive on your pc as an extra precaution.

I would suggest that also
I am not trying to restore the ROM, just the recovery.
Oh well, RUU isn't too bad.

It is Clockwork?
He doesn't like the bug that doesn't allow you to have your phone off while on the charger. I don't blame him.

I fully agree. When I have some time this weekend, I am going to look into porting amon_ra's recovery to the shift.

Does anyone know if the Heroc has this issue with CWM? I don't recall ever running into this bug...
Exactly. I can't bump charge the phone, and since there are no roms that interest me currently or a way to do a nandroid that will capture the wimax keys I don't really see a reason to keep clockwork on it.
Please someone come out with a clockwork for our device that works, preferably with full ROM manager support

PD: sorry for my english
Only if you already have a nand backup. Otherwise your going to have to RUU back to stock and start over.

If you did a full restore then the system and boot are incompatible. You can try going to cwm and in the restore/backup select advanced restore and only choose "data"

I have the i9505, everything is stock. Stock Rom before, everything. I just rooted my phone yesterday.
I meant both. My phone, software, everything is stock. Its as if it came from the box. I can, of course, just re isntall everything but I had SO MANY things.
I am using i9505 CWM Recovery 6.0.3.2
I installed it and reinstalled it using Odin3 v3.09
And yes I did, but i cant get back to it because i cant access CWM.
thank you so much for helping!
I cant help but get freaked out as I LOVED my s4 so much but now its as if i didnt own it.
i give up. i think i'll just reinstall everything back and set everything up again. this gives me the opportunity to clean everything i guess. no custom roms for me. thanks everyone!

Did you uncheck auto-reboot before flashing?
And yes I think a stock rom would be better for you. You shouldn't pannic when something goes wrong. It's almost impossible to brick your s4.

thank you all so much i actually think its better off this way, i only installed the apps i actually used, getting rid of around 50% of my apps. still keeping an eye out for battery life though, and the camera is still unusable.
Okay I have now successfully rooted my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 N900t.
Now what should I do? Any advice or suggestions anyone
What do you guys recommend doing with it?
If I have to install something please provide where and how to install it please. I need as much help as I can get!
Please be as detailed as possible as I am very new at this.
Thank you ahead of time anyone who responds! :highfive:
You can freeze unused apps with titanium backup. You can change system sounds or disable camera shutter sound boot sound etc. You can disable increasing Ringtone. And You can flash any custom mod from recovery. Etc etc
FIRST do a complete back up. ...After do what you want. ...
Don't get me wrong but normaly you wanna do something with your phone that turns out to need ROOT and so you root.
Somehow you reversed this so now your ROOTED but you don't know why,he he.
Start by reading about making a NANDROID BACKUP in case anything goes wrong, that would be my first step.
Respect!

Could I also use Titanium Back up to do this process or does it have to be done via CWM or TWRP?
If I have to use those for example CWM which one do I choose "Download Recovery" or "Download Touch Recovery"? I'm guessing which ever I choose I put the apk on my sd card and run it right?
You can save your apps with titanium but not your system...you have to flash your recovery with Odin. ..
I wanted to flash stock rom but by mistake I flashed a wrong version of it. I later found the actual version of rom i needed and flashed it. Everything is working fine but I'm not getting network services. Is there a fix for this plz help
How is that being "hardbricked"? When it is "hardbricked" you will have only a flashing led, and not be able to boot into anything, much less be able to flash a rom.
