Knox,Root,Custom rom's,Private mode - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

If Knox is tripped using custom rom and Recovery
Then is there a way to use again Private mode with stock rom

You can use private mode in some custom ROM also. Like- XtreStoLite ROM..
And yeah, you can always use stock facilities with stock ROM..

Did you sort this??
If not....As you have already triggered KNOX at 0x1 you can install official 4.3 via odin.........install custom recovery (Philz I would recomend) via odin.....and then flash Omega v13 without the modems!

Hi,
Some kernels could break Private Mode. On TouchWiz, I never use Private Mode so I never care about this. You might try to use Aurora Kernel to see if this problem is exist or not.

Installing a custom ROM on a custom kernel

Hi all,
I have a question regarding flashing a custom ROM on my phone. My S5 is running Lollipop with the original stock Touchwiz (tailored to my phone provider in Europe) and I have flashed a custom kernel on it. Now, I want to flash a custom ROM to get Marshmallow.
Is it safe to flash a custom ROM on a custom kernel or do I have to go back to the original kernel?

Custom Rom

It seems that no custom roms are compatible with this phone. and twrp an clockwork dont work with it too. How the hell am i supposed to flash a custom rom ?

Custom to stock

How do I go back to stock ROM after installing a custom rom?
