Hello everyone,
I'm have looked online and I can't find anyone else that is having the same issues. I have a Verizon S5. On downloaded images from the internet or sent to txt (stock sms app) i can see the full color of the photo for a split second then it looks faded. If i hit the back button it flashes its normal color real quick before backing out of the photo. I am using the stock gallary app not the G+ gallery.
Thanks

Hey guys, this is a bit weird, but I'm *yay* close to returning my Atrix.
I can't view any of the photos I've taken with the phone. When I click on the photo in the default Atrix gallery, I get a quick flash of the thumbnail but then the Atrix fails to show the actual hi-res photo, and I get the image "filler icon" in the middle of the screen.
When I installed the 3D Gallery (the one on the Nexus) instead, I can only see the thumbnails, and when I click on them, I get what seems to be a stretched thumbnail.
I'm on a non-rooted, non-deodexed, Bell Atrix with the stock launcher. Is this thing a dud?
Hi guys,
I've got this weird problem with the standard camera app on CM7 Wildfire. I've been using the MIUI camera for some time and thus used Titanium backup to backup and remove the stock camera app. But now that a HVGA video option has been discovered I wanted to restore the camera back. However, after successful restore, the background image of the camera app (the blackish pattern) is missing and it is completely white. Apart from that the app works fine. It's not a big issue, but it's quite painful for the eyes watching into so much white color while recording video.
I've tried to completely remove what titanium backup restored and put the original Camera.apk from the CM7 zip file into /system/app using Root explorer, but it didn't help - the app still works, but has white background.
Any idea how to restore this without reflashing whole cm7?
Thanks very much for any advice.
Cheers....
do you by any chance use a theme from here? I use the iMatte (or something) theme for nexus posted here, which also themes my camera and the background is indeed pure white (the video/photo choose button is grey and blue in case we would we talking about the same thing, and the "take photo" button is round and red)
in case you are using such a theme, then the solution to get black back is to not use that theme
Yep, I'm indeed using iNexus matte theme - it never dropped to my mind that it could cause this. Thanks a million for making it clear.
Cheers...
Hi,
I have some photos on my phone that were not taken with my S5 and am finding that when I go to view them with the Gallery app that it is adjusting the color (and not in a good way). The app will momentarily show the proper color when opening the pic and closing it but will kind of whiten it when viewing. The pics look normal using quickpic and the google photos app. Just wondering if anyone else has this happening and if there is any way of turning it off before I try clearing the data for the Gallery app etc.
Thanks!

Hello,
It's not actually modifying the photo, it is using a Samsung technology to change the colors being displayed on the screen only. You can change your preference (but it appears not shut it off) by going into your Settings, then Display, then 'Screen mode'. But again, your photos aren't modified.

Thanks for your help. I did realize that it wasn't actually modifying the photos, I just really didn't like how it made the pictures look. You were totally right with your solution, I changed the display mode to Standard and it works properly now. I was using Adapt Display because I wanted the best sunlight legibility/brightness possible and everything had looked great until I noticed this issue. Thanks!

I took some photos with the front camera using the front camera from SnapIt app in the stock vibe UI 3.0. While clicking the photo, there was some text in Chinese that appeared on the screen. I thought it was the name of some shooting mode sort of thing and that it'll not appear in the final photograph. To my dismay, though, after I had clicked the photographs, I saw that all of them have that weird text written over them. In a few photos that text is even covering up faces. I need to know if there is a way to remove this text from these photos and restore the faces. Using photo editors, I have only been able to get as far as cropping the text or if some of the photos. Nothing more. Please help me immediately.
Thanks.
Sharing a couple of sample photos would help identifying the exact problem.

I bought the Samsung Galaxy Tab 6 Lite as soon as it came out - I Really like it & it does all I want - except for one thing. I have downloaded several images(50+ now) & when I open the Gallery they are there - until about 2 weeks later, some of my images are gone. If I am scrolling thru looking at my images sometimes I get a light grey back ground with a big white circle and an white exclamation point in the middle - I can still see the thumbnail but the image is gone. Samsung wasn't much help on this - any ideas?? This happens ALL of the time & I find it very annoying.

Don't panic, stock Gallery is trash especially samsung because it shows every freaking media on your storage (i think even hidden one too). For that weird image, that's just asset image from one of your app say like Minecraft. As for the image disappearing, it might due to .nomedia file which its function is to hide the folder content (sometimes music folder has this so delete that). How about using third party gallery like Simple Gallery or AI Gallery? Try browsing through.
