[Q] What does I/O error mean when flashing recovery? Bad block?

I don't know if you have a fastboot enabled SPL, but if you have it, you could try

or probably better

fastboot erase system -w
fastboot erase boot
fastboot erase recovery
and then

fastboot flash recovery recovery-RA-dream-v1.7.0.img

[Q] First boot

I'm trying to get my Nexus 4 back to stock.
How long should the first boot take? For me to it just seems to be hanging at the Nexus boot animation.
Here is the order I ran the commands in:

update xt1058 from 4.4.4 to 5.1.1

i want to update my moto x 1058 from 4.4.4 to 5.1.1
presently i am rooted (no custom recovery, no bootloader unlocked)
i want to use fastboot commands for update as RSD lite not detecting my phone but fastboot commands work without any issue.

rolling back

i have moto g4 play.. unlocked bootloader,twrpinstalled,lineage 14.1 installed. but now iwant to rollback to my original firmware. and want to lock my bootloader( dont care og my warranty). how to do this

It can, but it won't remove the "bootloader locked" boot logo and the status code will be 2 instead of 1 (stock).

In these months i am using LTE. But today i am in rural area so I wish to use 2g/3g. But i face problems.. those who are familior with motorola mobiles.. they watch that type of connection shown after the network.. when i am using the network ... E is workinh great. H is working great. But after few minutes it switched to 3g and intenet won't connect. But its showing 3g but not connecting. Whats the problem. Anyone has any solution

The bootloader not locking.. it saying to flash signed files.but i am already flashing original factory stock images

Moto g5 plus keeps restarting...

My 3 months old moto g5 plus keeps restarting after entering the pattern at the startup.
I have tried factory mode several times but with no use.
Please help me
