Hello, Can someone kindly direct me where to get a the stock rom for my UK note please as I need to send it back to wher eI bought it.
I currently have Rocket Rom on it and rooted. I have the app tools required just need pointing in the right direction.

Www.sammobile.com/firmware go there and download stock rom then flash it via pc odin.

Many Thanks ! went there and signed up and saw new roms. Trouble is the only rom I see for the 7000 is a T-Mobile Hungary one..... The Sam note I have is the network unlocked one bought from Amazon uk. Any ideas ? If I stick T-Mobile rom on it they may twig......

Many thank to you but I'm really struggling to find any other roms on that site and I've been all over it....... I can see the 'new' list one but can't workout where to go for the la4 zlxeu you mentioned.

Sorry that was typing error as i was on move
I have amazon handset and stock rom is which i flashed the other night after tying ics and panicked cos my csc changed. .. Flash below with mobile odin and connect it to kies if it says no updates available instead of not recognised u have right one!

Dude, it worked like a charm. I had a logo loop on reboot but removed battery, cleared caches etc and reapplied the stock rom again and it worked fantastic. Item is winging it's way back as I type.
Awaiting a european replacement to arrive at £100 cheaper he-he (you know how it is, rip-off Britain). Now, if I can only for the life of me remember how the heck I rooted the Note to suprusr I'd be in my eliment ! memory loss comes with old age tfw.

So, I just bought this phone and the version is 4.3. But it has some weird icons, like, they doesn't belong to this version. What is wrong with this phone? Can I change it back to normal?
The icons that "aren't supposed to be like that" are the phone and messaging ones.

I will assume you have bought a used set. Possibly the previous owner has flashed a custom rom on it.
Maybe you can try download the official rom for your region and flash it with Odin and see if everything goes back to normal.
If you are not sure how to do the flashing, just Google for the instructions.
I also thought it might be a custom rom. And yes, it's an used set, kind of, but the person said it was never used.

You just have MCIC icon visible as previous user set it up for you, using the Jedi powers (because you have to trust him that he did not used the phone at all)
Knox is not installed if that's what you mean.
I think you can say if this phone has a custom rom in the "about device" section, right?

I don't think that it is a custom rom, maybe he flashed som zips
go to sammobile.com and find your firmware, and flash it to stock so it will be normal

But one question... I don't really know what have they done to this device, is it really safe to do the flash? I remember that I bought a couple of years ago an used phone that I don't remember the model name, and they told me that the phone was rooted, I checked the phone and it didn't have any visible sign of being rooted and I also downloaded an app and indeed the phone wasn't rooted, so I proceed to update the phone, and bam! Motherboard died.
I want to be sure that is really safe so I can proceed to flash it.

I think there is nothing wrong, but try this:
go to System Settings>More
About Device>Status and scroll down
Does it say:
Device status
Official
?

Does this rom have the same customizable features as beanstalk. Such as I can change my lockscreen widget to a picture. And can you upload Instagram video with this rom, beanstalk wouldnt let me. Thanks

Idk? Battery life seems about the same as Beanstalk for me? Anyone else?:laugh:
For me, after a half hour of use, the battery discharged from 100% to 87%, is this normal?

Normally, upon flashing a new rom to any phone, the battery needs to drain fully and sometimes even a few times before "settling down" and adjusting to running on the phone.
I like how this ROM looks. I am downloading it and the required files right now. Does this for sure work with the SGH-T599N (MetroPCS)? I don't want to brick my mothers phone. I'm trying to make it look great for her and I don't want to brick her phone.

Download the Battery Calibrator application from the Google Play store and follow any on-screen instructions the app gives you and you should be good to go after you follow the instructions. They should be along the lines of having to charge your phone to 100% before you hit calibrate, then letting your phone completely discharge, then you must charge your phone while it is powered off for a full charge effect.

Yes it works for that phone and will not brick it, just make sure to download the ROM for the Galaxy Exhibit off of Meticulus' website here.

I personally use CWM 6.0.4.7, which can also be downloaded from Meticulus' website.

I saw the tutorial on how to flash the recovery. Would that tutorial work with the TWRP_CODINALTE.tar.md5 file that I have? The exact same steps?

I noticed that my phone shuts down every 15 minutes when i am not using it so i wanted to know if this is a sleep or deep sleep or it is the firmwate problem? And if it was a sleep i want to know how to turn it off.

You have not said what rom or kernel you are using
You also haven't said if you are using any mods like link2sd etc
You haven't provided any adb logcat of the restart
It would therefore be impossible for anyone to offer any support
I am on stock rom, stock kernel,no mods,and the phone SHUTS DOWN and dont restart.

Without a logcat all I can say is reflash stock rom via odin - if it still does it check your power button isn't getting stuck
It could be a million different reasons - without proper logs you will never know

you can flash the original stock rom or go to repair center and change power button, maybe it's the battery
try to flash a new firmware via odin op
Hi guys..my sis note 3 recently got black screen. It wouldnt turn on or charge or anything. Sent it to repair and they were taking too much money. So I change the board myself. I managed to do it quite successfully cause it is working but am not having wifi or bluetooth. For the wifi..it sees my router and the strength..but when I try to connect it doesn't connect. And sometimes it tells me fail to obtain ip. Can anybody help me plz?

I guess you factory resetted the phone after the replacement, right? If you did, remove the WIFI connection completely once more and start from anew with entering password.

No I didnt factory reset. Should I? I did remove the wifi connection lots of time and put password again. But its not connecting. Maybe I should try the factory reset. Koz anyway there's nothing on the phone. It looks like new.

I did make a factory reset after u told me. But it doesnt work directly. But I figured a way to make it work. I assigned a static ip to the device. But with other devices it connects directly. I dont understand. Should I change the rom on the device? It has 4.4.2 on it.
