Hi after viewing this thread on enable additional RF bands on Qcom baseband modems. I believe it can be done on the D850 maybe other variants. http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/general/how-to-add-rf-lte-frequency-bands-to-t2886059 Infact someone had done it on the LG G2 although the link is down from a japanese site, wanted to take a look.

However it would help if someone had a dump of the D852G that has Band 4 WCDMA 1700 enabled. Just to compare the differences at the addresses in mentioned in the article. I have dump of NV, Rogers D852 and Bell D852. However I require one from Videotron, they don't sell it locally unfortunately, since I'm not in Quebec. I believe just dumping the QCN through QPST would be enough. QXDM also works just going to the address and taking a screen shots or copy paste the values. Although there are other methods mentioned in the article. However PM me or edit the file and blank out the IMEI if you are going to post publicly.
Any Luck?
did you get any luck with this?

I would just like to know if there is a way to flash a noID rom to the PPC6700. I would love to add Verzion's Rom version I was going to use it because the verizon phone has the ability to get gps data from fieldtrial.exe, where as the Spriint version does not, and maybe it has to do with the ROM?
Also, one last question, even if I don't do that, the regular image of the rom from the unbranded apache would even work.
I would also like to know if there is a way to remove the prefs.dat file from the sprint 6700 found in the filesystem/brew/prefs.dat because when I attempt to delete it usint qpst or bitpim it says that the carrier has restricted access to it. What is so special about this file for Sprint?
the gps data is not based on rom version...it is turned on by the carrier. for sprint, it would show up if you had...say...family locator.
but to answer your question:
search for bal666's htc64 extended rom tool, use it to decrypt the verizon nk.nbf, change carrier to SPCS_001, re-encrypt and flash using the updater from a sprint rom.
I do not have a prefs.dat in my cdma filesystem. why are you interested in removing it? can you post that file?
Not a chance. I can't look at the file without it flipping me off. This file will not remove itself if I smashed it with a hammer. I don't know what it does or what it is, but it is there and I don't like it? Sounds retarded, but if it has no purpose and it is RESTRICTED, I want to see it.
I have uploaded a screenshot of the existance of the file, it's behind the open window, I''m using this for both sites pdahome and here.
It is hosted by our good friends at Tinypic:

I am the NOOB of the forum
Hello, I wanted to take a minute to thank the great amount of useful information on your forums. The information has helped with my Dash and my Wzard. Now I have gotten my hands on a Sprint PPC6700, and, my question is ( forgive me if it is COMPLETELY misplaced) as follows: Is it possible to install the Verizon ROM on this device to make it usable on the Verizon Wireless network, or am I just losing sleep here for no reason?
As always, thanks for any information provided.
Hello again. Well, I decided to read the post(s) on this thread. (SORRY) I decoded the verizon rom and changed the description to read"SPCS_001". NOw, it seemed to freeze on the radio rom update. The screen displayed "Updating the RADIO stack". immediately after that popped up on the screen, the Update utility said that there was an unexpected error. Now the phone will probably have to be flashed back to the Sprint software, but I was really hoping to get the Verizon ROM on there...........help, please. Thanks.
I found there are a lot of "debug" apps in the firmware for Z3,
and I'll introduce the most interesting one - "Tech Mode by Sony"!
With "Tech Mode by Sony", you can check what band you are connecting only with your Xperia.
I only confirmed "Tech Mode by Sony" aka TechMode.apk is avairable in the firmware for Z3 / Z3 Compact 23.0.A.2.98 / 23.0.A.2.105.
Here is extracted files from Z3 D6603 23.0.A.2.105: Download
[UPDATE]
You can get Tech Mode for Z1 or Z2 by flashing/downloading Customized UK ftf
How to check connecting band
1. Dial
Code:
*#*#*386#*#*
or
Code:
*#*#*585*0000#*#*
2. "Tech Mode by Sony" will be opened, tap what you are connecting.
e.g. If you want to check LTE band, tap LTE and if you want to check W-CDMA band, tap UMTS.

3. Check "Serv EARFCN" for LTE or "UARFCN" for UMTS
4. Open LG Space or some other apps such as EARFCN Calculator
e.g. Type number of "Serv EARFCN" to "Earfcn" of LG Space and click "Frequency ...".
Then you wil get band info like this:
For UMTS, click "UMTS Frequency" tab.
This is very useful if you are interested in network or unlocking bands.
Great! Tks for sharing this....
Anyway, tested on Z1 4.4.4 .133 firmware and all show N/A on the app. Some are display like IMEI......
Very helpful for me, T-Mobile would intermittently switch me to LTE Band 4 where signal was low instead of keeping me on Band 12 which gave me full signal. After disabling Bands 2&4, I am always on Band 12 now with full signal.
Not working for 5.1.1 on 6603
Great found!
Thank you so much my friend!!
It works on the Z2 with 5.1.1 ROM 264
Download the apk file, place it in system apps as 755 and reboot.. (you need custom kernel to write in system folder, or deactivate protection)
Thanks a lot
All other apps I've tried failed to read the earfcn Nr.
Hi @AndroPlus, I'm trying on a Z3C running stock MM 23.5.A.1.291 (booloader locked) D5803.
Both strings don't work. I mean, when I digit the last character "*" all the text I have digit (in the text dial number) is automatically deleted.
Is the apk working in this case?
Thanks
Hello Everyone,
I currently have a SPH-L720 that I performed the international sim-unlock on and currently use it in the UK. I plan to use it when I return to the states on Verizon, but am curious if I need to perform the Domestic Sim-unlock and change the LTE bands under the hidden dialer menu or should it work automatically since the phone is currently carrier unlocked and then only need to change the LTE bands? Thanks!

It doesn't support the Verizon LTE bands to begin with. Pretty sure you will never have 4G, if I'm wrong kindly point me to the info.

Ah ok I was under the assumption that I was able to modify my LTE bands as I saw on an S5 tutorial.

Would you mind linking that tutorial? As far as I know you can only change them to bands that are already supported by the device.

I am trying to register my phone onto Samsung's website but there are a ridiculous amount of variants of the SM-G935F.

Any ideas?

Wrong.
My 'Baseband version' is G935FXXU1APB2.
That is not on that Samsung list - probably because it's not asking for my baseband version...
EDIT: The SamMobile Device Info app on the Play Store found it for me.
I don't know exactly where you will find this information, but they are related to the version of software installed by the carrier - for example, the EVR variants are supplied by and locked to EE, the O2x variants are supplied by and locked to O2.
Mine came from the Carphone Warehouse - they tend to ship phones that do NOT have the carriers own software, and to confirm this, mine is the top variant in the list (ABTU). I registered my phone online using my phone, and it somehow auto detected the correct variant.

Hello.
The Nexus 4 never officially supported LTE. Some people discovered that there was partial support in the chipset and figured out how to enable it. However it only works on a limited frequency range and you have to know if the cell sites near you have the right frequency band. I never bothered figuring it out for myself as HSDPA+ is fast enough for me and I only have a small amount of monthly data to use anyway.
You need to use older versions of the baseband/modem as the most recent ones disabled the possible LTE modes. Whether older versions of the baseband are compatible with community ROMs based on 6.0 and up I don't know. I haven't seen any discussion for a while now. Phones with good supported LTE have been common for a long time and I suspect anyone who really needed LTE has moved on.
Band 4 LTE works just fine, problem is, I think Tmo in the US is the only carrier that supports it (thankfully I am in the US and on T-mo in that case). Any ROM with a Hybrid Modem will work. I am on latest 7.1.1_r4 Nitrogen OS and is works fine: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/development/rom-nitrogen-os-n-substratum-10-09-2016-t3459341
Make sure LTE shows as enabled: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/general/updated-zip-one-lte-enabler-flash-one-t2358931
Hi
Good news!, in latest 7.1.1_r4 Nitrogen OS, this ROM has build.prop modified by default with LTE option enabled in mobile network menu. But this ROM has modem device only for 3G, so i flashed this file and 4G LTE it's back again on band 4!
