Safestrap Restore rom - Verizon Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I did a stock slot backup on my old phone to sdcard. I see it present under twrp using file explorer. Safestrap cant find it. I click restore on the replacement phone and there are no choices listed. Suggestions

You will have to make a backup of your current rom to recreate the folder that has ypur backups then move your old backup to the new backup folder switching phones changes the mame of the backup folder

Can't find the location of cwm backup

I used "Nexus 4 ToolKit" to backup my nexus 4. After backup, I only found a backup folder in my pc (C:\Google Nexus 4 ToolKit\backups\backup)
Now, I want to use CWM to restore it. However, I can't find the path (/sdcard/clockworkmod/backup) in my phone.
Then, I used the backup function in CWM to test my phone. And then, I tried to restore it. It worked, but still don't have the path (/sdcard/clockworkmod/backup) in my phone.
Now, I only want to use the backup folder in my pc to restore my phone. But, I can't put the backup folder to make CWM detect the backup.
What should I do to restore my phone by CWM?
its in root/data/media/clockworkmod/backup
not in emulated sdcard/0

how to copy nand backup files to pc?

hi guys
i had nand backup with cwm. now i want to copy all backup data to my pc( as i always did for my SGS).
but i cant find the folder of backup...where can i find this backup files so i can keep it safe and release some space on my phone?
thanks
ClockworkMod stores its backup in a location you can't access from the computer. It saves the backups in /data/media/clockworkmod. You will need to copy them onto the sdcard before doing the transfer, or simply do an adb pull from that location.
F.Y.I. TWRP recovery saves your backups right on the sdcard.
there is an app in the playstore called cwm backup manager (not affiliated with cwm). it will copy it to the SD card. then just zip it on the device with Astro (or another program of your choosing) so you can copy it to your PC.

How do I restore a backuped (to PC) Nandroid after formatting my Nexus?

I had two, fairly recent, Nandroid backups on my phone that I copied to my computer.. Over the weekend I "jacked up" my phone and ended up having to format it, which means I lost everything... I wasn't worried because I had those 2 Nandroids, so I did a reset and then copied those to my phone and tried to restore them, but they didn't show up?? Here's what I did: I opened up the TWRP folder on my computer and copied the folder (and all it's contents) over to the TWRP folder already established on my phone.
I then flashed a ROM and tried restoring just the data in TWRP, but it didn't see the backups.... I let the phone reboot, downloaded Nandroid Manager and it found the backups with no problem, so I rebooted and tried to restore just the data again, TWRP still didn't find any backups.
How can I make this work for future reference, because I know I'll jack it up again.
Just to be sure you put the backup in the right place: TWRP folder which contains>BACKUPS folder which contains> Folder with random numbers and letters which contains the actual backup folder with the date stamp which contains the backup files.
I don't know if all that is necessary but maybe TWRP does look in that order. In the past when I've done that kind of restore I always save the folder with the random numbers and letters to my PC and then after wiping my phone and reinstalling TWRP I create a new BACKUPS folder in TWRP to put the folder with the random numbers and letters in. My restores done that way always worked for me.

Nandroid Backup folder

I currently have 2 backups on my phone. I see them when I want to restore one. But how do I get to them to delete one?
They should be in your TWRP folder on your SDCard. There will be a folder inside that with your device ID, within that folder should be 2 more folders that are your backups.

Click to collapse
Just click restore then your backup then there should be a delete button and you just press it and delete it. Or use a file explorer and navigate to your sdcard then twrp then backups. You can also plug into your pc and do the same.

No backups in Titanuim Backup?

So I had problems with my phone and I decided to go back to pure stock marshmallow but before I could do that I ended up moving all of my data folders from internal storage to my micro SD card then I ended up flashing twrp using fastboot I backed up my Marshmallow Stock ROM and flashed AICP ROM with magisk it was successful, then I downloaded titanium backup gave it root permissions then i went into the Backup/Restore section and couldn't see my backups. In file manager in my internal storage I'm able to see the Titanium backup folder and my backups as well I went online and it said to go Main menu, preferences, backup folder location and I'm able to see my backups there. I even tried moving them to my SD card and but when I go into the titanuim backup folder it shows a grey "Use the Current Folder" so I ended up moving titanium backup folder to internal storage clicking "Use the Current Folder" but in the Backup/Restore section there are no backups what can I do?
