is there any GOOD handwritten note apps (like something I could functionally use to take note on my 10" Viewsonic G-tab?) something similar to Dan Bricklin's® Note Taker HD App for the iPad maybe?
Try "Most It".. By far the best notes app I have tried.. I don't know how would it work on a tablet but you can give it a try..

I have looked all over the internet literally every where but I failed to find a working version of the game for the note.
The closest I got was 'Adreno' SD data files which runs on the note but only parts of the game and sounds work. I searched all over and I know one solution is to root my phone then use chainfire3d to play the game but I'm stuck in a situation where I cannot root my phone (I'm in a LA1 kernel). So is there any other ways I can play the game on my glorious big screen phone?

Downgrade ROM first, then root, then chainfire.

I did exactly that with the Nvidia Plugin and still its not playable only parts of the game is showing

If i use the tablet to surf and email..just basic things and watch movies. Would the tab 2 10.1 be sufficient enough because i don't wanna spend $500 for the note 10.1 if the tab will be fine. And how have the official updates been for the tab2... Thx in advance

I would say for basic stuff, you should be fine with the Tab2. The big reason to get the Note 10.1 over the Galaxy Tab 2 IMO would be if you used it for note taking, or artistic work, because you would have the S-Pen. Updates for the wifi only models have been coming about one per month from what I can tell, not sure about the 3G model. There hasn't been anything recently though, but I'm guessing that Samsung is spending time getting a Jelly Bean update ready rather than continuing to work with ICS. I'd guess that we'd get an official Jelly Bean OTA shortly after the SGS3 does, given the recent "leaks" popping up on SamMobile.
The tab 2 will keep you happy.
I wish my 7 was a 10 sometimes.
Install cm10 in this tab and you will make all basic and advanced tasks

tab1:
1-tegra2 better in some games that need tegra chip but not better in videos as no neon libraries so less extesions work for videos
2-android honeycomb 3 not ics or jelly bean officially
3-front camera 2 mpixels back camera has flash
4-no sd card slot
tab2:
1-omap processor which is open architecture so more development friendly and operate more video extensions
2- ics official out of the box and leaked jelly bean (i think official in the near future)
3-front camera vga back camera has no flash
4-sd card slot up to 32 gb and some managed to operate 64 gb
5-thicker by about 1mm
6-front speakers so better audio directed to you
I recommend tab2 and install cm10 in it work good in this tab

I think tab 2 is a good option..only cons are no AMOLED display, No adobe flash player support and mediocre camera without flash.. if you don't mind these then tab 2 is an excellent choice

If you aren't installing random apps from the Market and aren't sideloading pirated apps (shouldn't do that anyway), my opinion is that you should be safe without an AV app. From what I've seen on various android news sites, most issues come from China, and only happen to get to the US and other western countries when they get popular on the Play Store before getting pulled by Google. The other source is pirated apps.
Is there a way in the play store, similar to ITunes where I can just search for Tablet applications? Also, what is your favorite tablet optimized application?
Try tablified market HD from the play store

These days, a screen resolution of 800 x 480 is considered pretty pathetic for a smartphone. The Samsung Glaxy S3 has a screen resolution of 1280x720, just a smidgen below our 1280x800. Given these facts, the whole "tablet optimized applications" worry is something of a red herring, IHMO. We are no longer dealing with apps that were written for 480x320 screens and stretched to fill a tablet. We're, by and large, talking about apps that are written to adjust to phones with screens as large as 5.5" (for the Galaxy Note) and resolutions that would have seemed generous on 17" monitors not too many years ago.
While this may be true, tablets have more physical space. Resolution is one thing, but tablet optimized apps take advantage of the size of a larger screen to get more done. Take just the gmail app. If you just stuck the phone app on the tablet, it would be horrible.

Hello everyone!
I have a Samsung Smartdock and my Note 3 works fine with it, but I noticed that the framerate is a little bit low and the output resolution don't match that of the TV (the image gets cropped on the borders). So I've been looking around to see if there's an app to play with hdmi out settings but all I'm getting are apps for specific devices (Nexus 10, Evo 4G and Droid X). Does anyone know if there's a generic one or one for note 3?
Thanks in advance!

What TV are you plugging it into? I know that on some TV's you need to change the settings on the TV itself. IE on my Sony you have to change it to FULL PIXEL to fill the screen.

It's an LG TV, though I don't have the exact model right now but I can get it later if you wish. I'll try playing around with the TV's settings and ser what I can get.

Sorry for taking so long to reply. Tried changing the TV settings but the only option I can change regarding the HDMI is aspect ratio. Any other idea?
