Mine yes and only have it for 1 month
If it did, rub some lemon juice on it and leave it to dry in the sunlight. Classic trick. (yes, SUNlight. Important factor, can't be subtituted by a regular lamp.)
Alternatively, try bleach.

Noooope. Had it since launch without a case. No yellow at all.
Nope, coz I'm using the Rock cover.

As the title says, does the white band around the phone or on the back get dirty?
Does it look like it will get dirty eventually?
How does your phone look and how long have you had it?
Thanks!!
Had mine 4 weeks and still spotless. (I don't use a case either)

I'm still awaiting my phones arrival However, I have had white phones in the past and dust almost always collects around the edges of the screen protector/around the bezel of the phone and is really noticeable. I've always had a case on mine, but still. White things get dirty.

Had mine for just under four weeks with no case and it's pristine.
The white plastic has not become dirty or discoloured at all and doesn't feel as though it will.
However, it's probably too soon to tell for sure.
Exactly what I've been wondering. I have read some phones have had a coating over the white plastic to prevent the yellow tint from forming. I hope the one has it

Don't all phones get dirty like the white Samsung S3.

My white one picks up some smudges here and there, but we are not talking everything major. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Hey all,
I received received my LG Nexus 4. I don't know if I may have damaged my screen but hopefully you guys can help clear up my queries.
I've been trying on screen protectors and my case, I don't know if maybe I've damaged it. But, one thing that has lead me to believe this is when I start up Nexus 4, during the Google screen at the top right, there is a bit of light exposure.
Basically, I would assume that during the Google screen at boot up, the whole screen would be black right except where it says Google.
Mine has a bit of faint white light on the top right corner.
Could anyone help clarify this for me?
Appreciate it, thank you!
I'm assuming that on most Nexus 4's that around the Google logo at boot up it is pitch black. But, others with Nexus 4's please check on boot up at the Google screen around the top right edge, do you also have a white/faint tint in the corner?
Are there anyways to check this? That the touchscreen is still functioning in the corner? Am I worrying too much about it? Is there a way of testing the screen?
Is your case still on the device? I'm not sure which one you're using, but it's possible that it may be too tight for the Nexus 4, which is causing pinching of the touchscreen.
You're right, at boot, the screen should be pure black, save for the Google logo and that unlocked icon (for unlocked bootloaders).
You can check if it's still registering touch feedback by going to Settings > Developer options > Show touches. Then try touching that area and looking for a white circle. Or simpler, you can pull down the notification shade from the upper right edge.
If it's still in warranty, maybe you could have it returned too.

I'm using a Ringke Fusion case, it's brand new. This was yesterday I noticed this on the screen, I was a bit annoyed after wasting a couple of screen protectors getting it on, hopefully when I go home and look at it today it looks pure black but I doubt it. I will try out the methods recommended.
@mlag: Surely I couldn't have broken it? Everyday people must put these phones into there jeans or tight trousers and it must put some pressure on the screen. As I said yesterday I was a little frustrated after going through many screen protectors trying to get it on properly. Hopefully today when I switch it on when I go home it looks better.

So I've established that light bleeding on the Nexus 4 along the top of the screen is quite common. After reading from this thread below.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2133655
Now can anyone tell me how light bleeding is caused? I'd appreciate it, thanks!
Its the display itself when made, you can't cause your phone to get light bleed at least I don't think. I also have a little on the top right.

Thanks for your response mate in both threads, I read the other one and I agree with you. It doesn't bother me, it is only because I switched on the new phone yesterday I was just playing with it as I haven't got my new SIM to use it yet. And, I noticed at the top on the right there was a very faint light bleeding, it isn't that noticable.
I will carry on using it as it is.

Mine also have a very tiny circular chip in the left lower bezel. I don't think it was a traumatic one as it arrive with it when brand new. I was gonna ask for a replacement phone but fear the new phone might be even worse with the button problems etc.

I tried to get a replacement from Vodafone Australia and they recommended me to get back to the shop to have the phone checked and inspected. I felt it might be hard to get a replacement as the chip was very tiny (barely visible 2mm max and only at some certain angle), so I accepted a $60 credit as a compensation - to get a case to cover the defect! For $60AUD I'm happy to keep the phone which is otherwise perfect. :victory:

My phone has a pretty sizeable chip on the top left corner. Never been outside a case so it can't be trauma.
Mine has a super small circular chip on the top right bezel.

I bought the Note 3 for my fiancée 3 days after it came out. Just recently noticed that the middle right of the screen doesn't work right with the S-Pen. Noticed that after the recent update it went away but a week later it came back. Has anyone else experienced this or is it just her Note 3? What should I do?

No problem, glad you figured it out.
I was just wondering how peoples phones are holding up. I am switching from a Note5 titanium to an S8 and have only 2 choises black or grey... My titanium note5 after 2 years looks still amazing, back side looks like 9.5/10 (always in a case)
I ask because i read a review where the person was complaining about the tiny scratches he was finding on the backside of his black model
Im leaning towards black. but like black cars i worry they only look good for a few months then become a pain to keep looking good?
I have the black version and after about 4 months it looks brand new. Admittedly I have been using a case for about 3 months (the OEM alcantara one), so take that for what it is.

I also have the ultra hybrid from spigen. That back transparent plastic goes from 0 to crap in no time flat. Full of fingerprints and grease almost instantly and within a week it's full of scratches. Not to mention it sounds like it's gonna break every time I "drop" it from like 10cm height onto the table.
My advice would be not to get clear hard plastic backed cases. Especially if they are not "raised" a bit by silicone or rubber feet or something.

My black S8 Plus got scratches on the back the ONE day I used it without a case or skin on it. I sat it down on the table at the restaurant (Formica tabletop) and it got scratches somehow. Been in a case or skin ever since.
The midnight black is GORGEOUS, but it shows every flaw and is a fingerprint/grease magnet.
I wish I had gone with the orchid grey like my wife, but at the time black was the only option for the US Unlocked version. She got the T-Mo version. If I had to do it over again, I'd get the grey T-Mobile version, or the coral blue unlocked version.
. That sucks as luck would have it my cases are arriving same day as the phone

I have a black S8 and the reason for this is because on silver model, I didn't like the way frame looks, it was kind of chrome, but on black it looks slick. Although fingerprints are visible more. I would also purchase blue coral, but putting it in a black case will cover the phone's color My phone is 1 week short of 2 months and still looks good, although I am using a case "Spigen Liquid Armor"
