Watch out for this link:

So finally it's available now.
However on my TyTN only values for RSSI (field strength) and RXqual are showing up.
I'm sure we will be able to fix that with the help of this kind guy, who shared this application with us [I hope he is responding].
Assumably some registry keys have to be set to invoke display of all parameters.
updated the wiki so this reaches more people and hopefully someone can help.

Hi,
I have doopod 838pro, i was trying to connect it with the QPST/QXDM (qualcom diagnostic software installed on leptop) but i cannot as the phone is detected as HTC Modem and not as dignostic COM port. Do you know if there is any driver/software/command for open the dignostic port for detect it as COM on the device manager?Any idea or other solution?
Thanks a lot,
Hi,
Im not sure you'll be able to do that.
The Qualcomm's MSM chipset on the Hermes handle the radio while the applications handled by a different processor (Samsung), unlike what is happening on feature phones.
The data-com connector is controlled by the application processor so no Q's communication is available :-(
Happy new year from the Holyland.
Thank Dukas,
Happy new year to you!
If you have any idea let me know.....thanks a lot,

HOWEVER, TomTom came yesterday with some kind of help in that matter. when TomTom asks you to configure external GPS receiver, it also lists all available COM ports. guess what - one of the ports was described as 'RIL on COM6:' - ha! i'm guessing, RIL is accessible through that port, but usual AT commands don't work, so there must be some other way of doing it...
Try these two drivers. tell me the results
Thank you, i will try it and let you know!

thanks, but.. what exactly am i supposed to do with these files? :-o
It will enable the QPST/QXDM (qualcom diagnostic software) to talk to hermes
This software can extract tons of info from the qualcomm chipset

mhmm ok, but *just* these drivers will not give us that tons. i mean, what also we need is that diagnostic software, right?
this is a reply to rfmanganaro who was asking how to connect QXDM to Hermes
Any idea how to connect QPST to Hermes?
Thanks austin,
I am having some problems on the drivers installation you provided (i don`t know how and where install those) Can you help me?
Drivers for mobile or laptop?
How and where should i install it?
Sorry to disturb you again and Really thanks a lot,
You can buy the software from Qualcomm, this software is used for Radio network optimization and mobile test/debugs, not sure if it is available somewhere in the web.To this software you can connect any qualcomm chipset mobile and monitor all L1,l2 and L3messages, record, show and record radio measurements for HSDPA,R99 and off course connect true GPS for g data collection. Is something similar (but much more complete than the TEMS, COUEI, NETMIZER, NEMO.....)
But how do we install the drivers?
The files posted contain SYS files.
These are sys files but the Modem in the Hermes has its own driver already.
If you try to do an 'update driver' and point to a directory with these sys files in it, they don't work.
I think you also need a .inf file to go with these, or alternatively, mabe there is something needed in the Hermes to start up the modem in a different way.
Any ideas?
Hi irvis, austin,
I tryied but it doesn`t work by updtae HTC modem driver (the .inf file is requested).
Austin, can you provide the .inf file or any other idea of how to install it?
i am sure is possible,
Thanks a lot!
Is possible to download this somewhere? Of course with some little guide how to use it

Hi,
did you ever find this program somewhere?
J.
not 100% sure that it works on the universal as i've never tried it, but SiSoft Sandra has/had some kindof pocket pc function.
Maybe i'll download it and try it out.
Hey guys,
what are you exactly looking for
I think a general diagnostic program has never appeared, but you might find many applications to check the functions of your universal, e.g.:
A tool named powerdetect, which is excellent to check your battery,
a tool called cpuid, which gives you detailed information about the CPU (nothing more ),
excellent task manager which gives some details about the OS,
and there's is an excellent benchmark program around here ...
But i don't know, maybe there's some engineering tool from HTC???
At least you might check your hardware with booting linux. There are excellent ways to get some information about the hardware and it's function with this OS!
scholbert
There is one program named DS2760K. You can see Print Screen of it in Universal Service Manual
I never found different HTC utlity programs ;(
According to different service manuals most of them are delivered on special HTC "gold" card as XXXXDIAG.nbh files.
I found power control progs for HTC products called PowerDetect.
File model.txt shows us data for different units:
Galaxy 0,10,11,11
Colorado_adds 0,8,9,9
Universal 0,10,11,11
Apache 0,10,11,11
Sable 0,10,11,11
Hermes 0,10,11,11
Wizard 0,4,5,5
Prodigy 0,4,5,5
Charmer 0,4,5,5
Prophet 0,4,5,5
iBadge 0,10,11,11

Hi people
I just get tablet from title, this tablet have possibility to read RFID from chips and cards. The problem is, I cant find a way too enable RFID reader in my app. there is a demo app and it's only thing that works with RFID module. As far as I know, there is no native support for RFID in android SDK, so that is the biggest problem. So I wanted too ask if someone have more experience with that tablet and if anyone knows how to enable this RFID module in apps.
-Full tablet name T70 7" rugged tablet
-sry for bad english
is it the T70 by china Cruiser (runbo phones) ?
Yep this is the one
Sorry to say but nothing seems clear with that brand is there really a RFID (if its really NFC: it would solve this) adapter?! (Couldn't find detailed datasheet on the specifics of the adapter used by them)
As you know: Nothing in the sdk, Theres no standardized RFID extension set as that means there is significant duplication among the vendors , but in a ideal world Google would build the needed RFID extensions directly into Android.
I'd suggest you search or post on stackoverflow there are similar questions some are suggesting some plausible things...
But RFID wise your on your pretty much on own with android the only path I see is developing extensions based on common source code if you got skills and time...
Edit: supposedly some manufacturers of RFID adapter ARE providing SDK's for their products maybe there's something's to scavenge from that.
Best of luck keep posting if you got something
yea there is a very little information about this tablet :/. Thanks for help anyway
Hi all,
I have purchased a neat little android box called Uroid. It uses the Apple CarPlay interface to let you control an android desktop and install almost any app you like, including things like Netflix etc..
Purchased from: https://www.car4play.kr/product-page/uroid
Currently running Android 7
It uses an Allwinner H6 SoC: https://linux-sunxi.org/H6
It looks identical to this product and I am linking this because this website offers more info on some technical specs: http://indiwork.co.kr/shop/device/ai-box-android-for-oem-carplay-system/
I would love to be able to hack this thing and:
a) get more access to the system (the settings are heavily modified and pretty much only let you choose language, DPI, timezone and things like that)
b) perhaps one day roll a custom rom for it maybe based on a newer version of android?
c) find out how it is built and how it works
I have never done any of this and am hoping for some help or guidance.
If anyone here has experience with this I am happy to follow your instructions and provide you with whatever data/info I obtain.

Hi, we discus these Carplay Units here https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/carplay-ai-box-android-headunit-dongle.4196931/
Your unit can be flashed with update for CP-21, 31, 41 or 91 units. BUT as I test them, the best one is UROID firmware v1.2.0 122217_global from 2021-01-08. https://03e41727-9992-4bef-befb-74b...c148f4ab1b6774d2c7a12d.zip?dn=upgrade_pkg.zip
Hey there, thanks very much for the info. Will join your thread.

Hello, what is the password for this factory mode?
I have in my Renault Kwid the default, MediaNav Evolution (MN2) screen, with software version 9.1.3. I'm looking to modify some of the "hidden" configs, by entering to menu called MICON MENU, but since documentation and information about that hidden menu is so limited and contradictory, I wouldnt like to try it on the hardware itself, but instead, have a virtual machine where i can easily test what things go.
Its obvious that i would have to also emulate all the peripherals that the device itself has, but i think its possible to "bypass" them. I dont know yet, but i would like to try it out.
First of all i would like to get the OS to boot.
This is all the info I got for now:
CPU: 667MHz MIPS
RAM: 1GB
OS: WINDOWS CE 6.0
Ive also got an "update file" wich appears to have most of the operating system (i think).
Ive looked a bit in how to get starded. AFAIK, i will need to use qemu, but thats all i could understand.
Thanks!
Hello, i got a 2017 Clio recently with the same piece of HW and im looking through every exploit i can before paying to get an after-market screen, did you have any luck with your tries?

Sorry, I left the idea as the renault system is already pretty crappy, and trying to mod it was already worthless. If you have any MN2, your best option is to change it for the new one linux based MN3, or buy a third party one

No worries thanks for the rapid response, do you have any links for a MN3 head unit ? I've been searching to check if its worth the money but no luck so far, all i can find is 3rd party ones.

i dont think you can buy them. you'll have to probably go to a renault service center and ask them to change it. you could try looking on facebook marketplace, but you have to find a good deal
Hey, I also have an MNE, I agree that it's crap, however I would like to ask if anyone has tried to run AutoKit-WINCE on it?
@FAB1150 mentioned it in another thread
Or maybe someone tried to launch EasyConnected ?

Well, it would probably fail, as the guy in the thread you linked said, since those head units are made different but with the same propose, meaning that the hardware and software might be different, but they do exactly the same.
Also, one big factor about Windows CE, is that every OS build is strictly limited to work with the desired hardware that it was built for, more or less like any android ROM. The difference lays that Windows CE manages hardware resources different than any standard OS, thus forcing the app developer to make as many versions of the app as head units he wants to support.
Because of that, is that I want to emulate the entire MNE system, so I can test apps without ruining the device itself.
So far, I haven't made much progress. All I know now is that the CPU is an R4000 based mips cpu, with the model number AU1320. I haven't been able to find any datasheet yet. I also been learning about QEMU/KVM, but I did no progress given that I'm having some trouble to make a basic machine and support about mips emulation is very limited.
My main idea now is to port/develop some kind of scrcpy for the MNE
