Custom ROM made out of NI1 is supposed to be really good ( dr.ketan's ) plus it has a bigger change log over NG3 which was a big improvement over ND3 and NE1 so I am sure this one is worth upgrading.
There is really a noticeable performance and scrolling improvement?, also one application is removed(not sure), ...also freed up some space, also noticed a homepage button in chrome that takes to Samsung .com, the music widget on lock screen has seek bar(maybe not new)
Which application is removed?

I would suggest NOT upgrading to this rom if you are using any bluetooth equipment like a headset or galaxy gear. I had an harrowing experience since two days, where both my devices kept disconnecting.. even the range dropped to less than 7 feet.
Had to spend a whole day, downloading and re-flashing FNE1 ROM and now everything is back to normal.
Yup ,flashed today via MobileOdin & this built is quite smooth & snappy for note 2.
Battery is okay,no improvement over last built.

MobileOdin works same as PC Odin but doesn't flash bootloader & PIT file.
✏MobileOdin for those who have rooted their phone & installed Recovery.
✏They want to upgrade firmware but don't want to change their bootloader. Coz,MobileOdin doesn't flash bootloader.
✏IMO If you're flashing through MobileOdin then you have very low chances of corrupting IMEI/efs.
✏Flashing through MobileOdin shouldn't wipe your data. Again your previously installed apps/settings remains as it is.
✏if you're upgrading firmware from 4.3 to 4.4.2 then you should note that your device shouldn't charge in offline mode(power off state). Coz it's using previous 4.3 bootloader and 4.4.2 stock rom aren't support older bootloader for offline charging.
Last time i used MobileOdin when i was on JB4.3.
?If you really want to flash Stock Rom through MobileOdin then,do a backup of current Rom,Modem, efs, etc.in recovery,in case you're needed to go back to previous rom.
Then ,download latest Kitkat 4.4.2 rom from sammobile for your region.
Just open MobileOdin,it will ask you to download some required files,do it.
Don't touch any options there..
Just select "Open file" & then select your previously downloaded stock firmware "tar.md5" file.
After that move to EverRoot section(requires Pro Version) & optional.
Now then Select "flash firmware" ... after that MobileOdin boots in special recovery to flash your file. Relax & sit back, after few moments your device boots into New Rom.?
ℹNote : Some times superuser not works / your device unroots itself after flash. It's due to knox security blocks SU binary to do his work.
In that case don't worry, you can again able to root your device easily.
For Root ,Head to this link....

Hi,
Which bluetooth headset do you use? I use Samsung HS3000 and my rom is FND3. If i listen to music with Bluetooth headset, music stuttering 15 minutes later. This problem happens only while listening to music. I haven't got a problem during a call. This problem happens most 4.4.2 rom. Do you have a problem like this on FNE1 ?

As I understand this is for Region: Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom
Well I let it a try and want to share my experience.
The update took 13 minutes from applying the update untill the full bootup. And drained 3% of a battery from 80% to 77%. All apps and icons on the home screen remained untouched.

As read in another thread now you have the Knox warranty flag/counter.
You can see that when you bring your phone in download/odin mode.
And as I understood now you can't flash back older firmware, or root and flash custom roms without loosing your warranty (warranty void).
Look at this thread!

It`s offically annonced that S4 mini will get 4.3 till the end of November and this is sure as Samsung anonce that Gear will support S4 Mini which mean 4.3 for us in the end of November.
As for the Rom I love the stock one and don`t need root as there is wifi tethering so I don`t need to play hacker just to have network on my laptop when traveling.

I think this will cover it.
A spokesperson for Samsung UK told CNET that Android 4.3 Jelly Bean "will be available across a range of Galaxy devices from mid-November, subject to software testing and approvals by individual networks."
Installing now and see how it goes. The only thing I pray for is the basterds fixed the battery drain bug. I doubt it, but we will see...
Someone mentioned no rooting possible from this version on? Should there be a workaround this, because I am pessimistic they fixed the issue?
For now, everything is in place and the update was non-problematic. We will see how the battery usage goes...

Fairly simple.
Extract the file.
Open Odin which I used 3.07
Power down phone
Press home vol down and power together till you see a screen that ask if you want to enter press vol up
Connect the USB cable if you haven't already and make sure it com in blue
In Odin don't change anything and click on PDA
Search for the extracted file
Wait a few and then click start. Wait till you see pass
Sorry writing from my phone but its easier than making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches
Also make sure you are coming from stock if not you will need to erase all in revovery then go to download mode

Flashed the German (DBT) 4.3 FW with Mobile Odin this morning instead of the Nordic Countries (NEE) 4.1.2 FW.
After the update, I was disappointed to see my Wifi stopped working. It just wouldn't turn ON. So I ended up wasting the whole day wiping and reflashing 4.1.2
Did anyone else had or heard of this problem?

Hi, this is probably a super Noob question, but what is the difference between a N9005XXUDMK2 build and a N9005XXUDMJ7 builds.
I understand that the MK2 is an update that came after the MJ7 (which came loaded on my N9005).
Also, I get that the letters correspond to region and build date.
I just want to know if I can update my MJ7 baseband N-9005 to an MK2 build?
I tried out some of the unofficial releases of CM 11 so I don't have the OTA update option available to me anymore so this trouble.
Thanks!
Check the changelog, it's mainly slight bug fixes, yes you can upgrade and if you have issues you can fall back to MJ7 again without any problems

Thanks! Giving it a try now.
I was also wondering if you have any idea as the why the name of the 'Phone' memory changes when you go from Stock to CM.
It goes from being '0' to 'legacy' or something. I'm not to sure. The problem I'm facing is that when I recover by Stock from a CM11, a lot of apps don't function as it is not able to recognize the phone memory as the name has changed.
I hope I made some sense.
Thanks again!
Not 100% sure, must be the way file systems are read.

Today I flashed this firmware. The first thing I noticed is the SELinux Status that use to be there in my previous ML4 firmware is missing. Gallery is less laggy than ML4. I did a clean install. I rooted it and flash Philz Recovery and Boeffla kernel but even after that my phone status is always official. Not only this, everything in download mode is shown as official. I am still confused.

Best is poland, from what I have read and some ppl said.
But I couldn't find latest poland nb4 as what most ppl said.
So I flashed the nb7 germany but it requires pit file to be flashed together.
Or perhaps u could try nb7 uk.
My sview cover is working just fine with nb7 germany. No issue. And fyi, I m not using any original scover ciz too ex for me.
Sd card problem I found so far only on dolphin apps, where by it detects as "external sd" only, instead of "storage/external sd". Therefore if u want to download something, it will still be only able to save to internal sd.
Btw, battery much more better than 4.3.
I m quite satisfy with it, based on my same usage.
And it really did stay very well in deep sleep.
I discharged, and nver use it for 4 hours, it dropped to 98% only. Something I never see before.
Sent from N9005 4.4.2 NB7 rooted device
NB7 Germany contains the fix for the 3rd party accessories. (It is the second 4.4.2 update for DBT).
Keep in mind that 4.3 has a very, very annoying issue with Android leeching battery. I never had issues before updating to 4.4.2. Factory reset helped a bit, but not much. Ever so often Media Server prevents deep sleep.
The SD Card doesn't have problems, the lazy app developers have a problem. Google updated security policies (remember how people are always whining about security? This is the result. Blame them.) and now the devs have to alter one tiny permission in their apps and it works. But a lot of them can't be bothered.
If you are happy on 4.3, don't update.
I think to stay on 4.3 and wait for another update

You either update to 4.4.2, or don't update.
4.4.3 would be too long away. Once Google releases 4.4.3, it would take months for Samsung to update, if they feel like it.
