hey all - I have looked at the PCTECH website with regards to the replacement screens for the XDA, are they talking about the XDA 1 only???
plus they are in the USA, I am in the UK and want to know what I can do about my screen over here. I think it is just the glass that has cracked as I can still use the screen no problems......
HELP - I need to get it fixed, I know that if you have insurance with O2 they will replace them - but I am with orange and bought the phone as a stand alone device.
HELP PLEASE
have you tried claiming on your house-hold insurance?
just and idea.
could do - but dont really want to go down that route....
just want to see if I can get it repaired first.
thanks for the thought tho.

Hey guys,
My worse nightmare just became reality and I cracked the screen on my Nexus I'm using my old G1 but I know I can't stay with the downgrade for too long. I tried calling Assurion to get it replace but they said they see activity on the phone (since I'm using the G1) and can only send me a G1. Anyways I want to try and replace the screen on my own or find a cheap place that can replace it. My questions are 1) Does anyone know of a trusted place that replaces the screen? 2) How do you know what kits to purchase on eBay or anywhere else? There is a LCD w/ Digitizer option for $187 or The LCD Display for $127.
I cannot see anything on the phone it is pure black, there are no cracks I can feel, and when someone call I am able to slide down to answer. I just see the cracks below the glass. I just don't know what exactly is broken the LCD? Digitizer? I just always thought they were both on top of each other and if one breaks so does the other. Thanks.
Dude take it to a repair shop,3GS screen of my friend costed 100$
Fight with Asurion! That's some BS they're feeding you so they can avoid covering the cost of a N1. Of course there's activity on your line. They expect you to not use your line at all when you have a secondary phone available?

Yeah thats what I told them. I'm going to call again and get crazy on their a** hopefully they will replace it. All the places to fix it cost more than the 130 deductible with Asurion.
Hi guys,
The weekend my HD2 touch stoped responding. I presume it's the digitizer gone. I will try somebody to check on it. But honestly, here in Argentina will probably want to charge about U$200. And that's a little bit ridiculous for a cell I paid U$250.
I saw there are several videos and tutorials about replacing the digitizer. But I have two quick questions:
1. Is there an easy way to be (mostly) sure that is the digitizer?
2. Why are there so different prices, between U$40 and U$140??? http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=HT...gitizer&_osacat=0&_trksid=p3286.c0.m270.l1313
Thanks!
i had same problem and guys from technical support said that this screen+digitizer must be changed.but my hd2 has warranty so i didnt pay anything
Hi guys. I bought an LG G2 VS980 from eBay 'perfectly working' but as i'm from Venezuela it took about a month to get here and then i could realize that the phone has touch screen issues. I had some words with the people there but eventually they closed my case so i got screwed with a bad phone.
Now i've heard that changing the Touch Screen (Digitizer) can be very difficult to do but i dont know if thats completely right so id like to see your opinions about this regard.
Should i change the touch screen and be advised that the technician can break the screen in the process or should i sell as it is?
Thanks!
