For reducing screen brightness without third party apps I use script provided by mrsteve555 for cm11 in PA thread.

Hi, I was wondering if there was an app or something that enabled the screen to lock after sliding over the phone sensor? I noticed it on other phones. Thanks!

You mean something like this?:

Sounds great should check out
P.S. It seems like the screen doesn't get locked if the screen is turned of from this app I mean it wont lock even the screen time out period passes.

If u continue searching for these proximity apps u will get many cool apps...u may get one that changes songs with proximity or if u want to turn on your screen with proximity then install smart screen on but it is useless and draws too much battery.
Just for information purpose I post this here.if u have any problem then tell me.I will remove this post.
Remember its not legal to download and use pirated apps.u must support the original developer by buying his app. Do not apply this method unless u are in danger to lose your life .
OK so here it is...
1.Google blackmart and download the appk.
2.install it.
3.u will get the paid apps free here.best pirated appstore after applanet)

Just that, I think that many of us were thought that, but...
It can be possible to add compatibility to other apps (like Whatsapp or Gmail) to .NXT lockscreen?
Exists an API from Sony (they did it for Small Apps) that can make this idea a reality?
I was thinking on emulate/copy a bridge from stock apps to lockscreen, but, LOL, I don't know if that is even possible
*Sorry for bad english

I just got it it's charging at the moment any hints or tips for this tablet? Or any settings recommendations?

Jus run through the settings one by one and deselect anything that sounds like it might waste battery. Qslide, knock on, all nice touches but both waste that extra bit of juice and I can do without.
Enjoy
Ok thanks also what screen brightness do you have yours on?

A he never asked that. He asked what brightness do YOU have it on. You do know people do this all the time. Just look into monitors at Hard forums. People love to know all the settings people use. People will say they get the best battery life with.. and then post.
Ok so I have it set up using nova Launcher just like on my note 3 I'm loving the tablet so far only this that's annoying me is the bar with the touch buttons at the end, as in when I'm using apps I don't get the full screen I guess it's something I will just have to get used to.

Not a lot more I can add to the list but if you guys are interested in customisation head over to the candy shop 4.4 forum.
Also I currently have touch control and screen off running, giving me the function of knock on from LG g2 and the ability to lock from screen, so basically all gestures and no use of power button. A pretty cool feature to have in my opinion.

FYI. It doesn't sync with the atomic clock but instead is pretty much just NTP. It looks to sync with a stratum 2 server at ntp.org which is a few removed from the atomic clock. I ran stratum 0 servers for a telcom.
This is a useful tool to specify what ntp server you want to sync with but TMO, AT&T and the rest have stratum 0 servers that their handsets get time from over their respective networks.

and could someone suggest a good app to view what apps are currently running, how much battery/memory they using & the ability to kill them..
and perhaps kill all as well??

I have no idea why this thread has been opened.

I use tasker to force governor change to performance when opening cameras to make video smooth.
My kernel is Googy Max 2. Interactive governor.
Else isn't necessary.

Kitkat Dialer isn't really original coming from Nexus 5, it's a little different.
The thing is,exDialer has an swipe option like stock ROM has and has even themes. Like ICS , Stock touchwiz (with sounds) and kitkat too and is a lot faster. Still personal choise, tho
No problems,man.
Yeah, I've noticed, by chance before having kitkat had this' exDialer "and was very good. I like the original kitkat CM11 up is quite reactive and beautiful.
