Hi
Mate , first thing you have to do is find out who is running wild in your phone use BBS
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809
Let it run for a few hours and read the log to find out what is keeping awake the phone
Also review your settings , wifi , mail , FB , location.....

The monitor says that there are many kernel wakeclocks. Change the kernel to hellcore and you wont get any problem, I am using the same combo.
Greetings for williams kernel developer
On stock i had 3h 45m on screen
On Williams using mpdecision, smartassv2 governor, 281mhz min frequency, 1,7 max frequency, sio governor, multi core power saving "on", GPU clock 400mhz and 25mV undervolting i done 6h 47m on screen on from 100% to 15%.
I am using exitenz rom and this updated app : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2401988
On 100% stamina says: 20 days on standby
My settings on screenshots
Awsome! I recommend this settings if you want great battery life with nice performance.
What's the ROM you use? Just stock or stock based custom?

I had similar experiences when my phone was new and on android 4.1. But now 4 hours screen of stock is max
. i think xperias sp from different production lines or times can be really different. For a lot of peoples 4.1 works better, 4.3 works far worst. For me 4.3 works better but battery life suck. :/
Maybe because my phone was swimming last time i have bad battery life x. X

How do I lower my touch frequency? Whenever I touch the screen immediately two cores jump to the highest frequency available which is 1267 MHz, I have the max frequency locked at that in general... So how do I lower it, or would this not help the battery? I am trying to figure out how to lower it to around 883 MHz for the purpose of saving battery? I am using Trickster Mod btw
Optimus DE v2.3 rom
Furnace 2.2.3 kernel
dorimanx kernel and its STweaks app
it doesnt go below 960mhz, but it can be disabled

Thanks will give it a try with this rom, usually doesn't help me with battery life but I will give it a shot! Will report back how it goes. By chance do you know how big of a difference letting the kernel and rom settle for a few days makes?
dunno... what are your expectations on battery life?
with dorimanx kernel the results are usually more noticeable after a charge or two

A minimum of 5 hours screen on time... But yeah guess im gonna have to wait a charge or two to see the full effects.
Can you suggest a good settings combination for battery life? Just flashed v5.0 of Dori:silly:
read a few pages back on dorimanx kernel thread, someone posted good overall battery kernel settings, but wait for an 5.x update because something needs to be fixed in alucard governor...
btw STweaks app also has preloaded profiles you can change if you don't want to fiddle with the settings manually...
have fun

I went about 10 pages back, could you by chance post a link or tell me what page number it was on? I saw screen shots on someones battery life but not settings.
i don't know the exact page, i'd have to search it too...
btw don't be lazy, you can test several settings in stweaks yourself. or use predefined ones... many people find the default ones good enough but not all of us use the phone the same way...
cheers
Hi GUYS,
I have a Galaxy S4 GT-I9500 with android 5 official and TWRP Recovery installed. I just want if there are any settings in Synapse App for better performance and long battery life.
I have NevermoreX TW kernel installed.
I just want a good standby time with good SOT.
Regards,
Dc

Hi @AgentDivanshu ,
For battery life you can underclock to 1200 MHz and then undervolt the cpu, it makes huge difference, just make sure you dont set it on boot before trying.
Keeping these settings, use ondemand with row, which will not affect the performance while saving battery for you.
Try it for sometime, see if it lags or something, if everything is fine then you can set it on boot.
Hit thanks if it helped.
A neo homie telegram group member ask me to do him a favour and open this topic for him.
He says he has always a battery draining on aosp roms with his Indian variant(1.2ghz) of S3 neo.
He looses 45% a night with 12.1 Leo build. He has a new battery.
That is why he ends up with motion roms where this is not the case.
My questions @1.2 GHz users:
Do you have the same problems?
Any ideas how to fix this?
I read that g2 works also on 1.2 GHz. Is the solution to port a kernel for Indian variant ?
CPU dont sleep... thats probably cause the drain...
kernel adiutor...greenify...or use factory rom

Can you give the exact settings you would use in kernel adiutor or Greenify?
exact settings is impossible to get from me...
Applicable settings is different at any user..
Try yourself an usable setting accordable for you.
CPU gov: powersave about 1ghz... io bfq 512M..that's circa the most powersave and "fast" setting

It goes to deep sleep but still facing issue.
Some app having high file writes in background.

Nope ,all seems normal but still something is creating problem .screen on time is good but standby is very poor. Maybe kernel issue?cuz we got 1.2ghz one varient.
I think problems is not caused by kernel... some app is responsible for drain... advanced battery stat or logcat app is probably useful to find what draining...
Disable system apps for a night ?
You need to recalibrate your battery (It worked for me?)

So all you need to do is follow this steps:
1) Download app name Battery Calibration from play store (Don't ask for links just search on play store)
2) Follow steps in app
3) Use greenify for better results and set your phone on power saving when you are not doing anything.
It should work
