Im new to the S5 so Im wondering what are all the best features/apps that I might have missed? I noticed one today where if you click on a contact and put the phone to your ear it will automatically call that contact. It didnt seem to work 100% tho but I might be doing something wrong...Any others?
I think you haven't gotten many answers because it's not in the QandA sub forum

Hi, I'm new here and I dunno where to post this stuff.
My Nexus S rear speaker was heavily damaged when I try to test the equalizer setting 2 weeks ago and now it's completely gone. No sound at all.
Is there anyone knows how to get the new sparepart for the speaker because I can't find it anywhere in my country, Malaysia. I've tried searching online but can't find any website that sell it.
What type of speaker does this phone have. Can it fit any other speakers model from different phone such as SGS or SGS2?
Thank you..And sorry for my english (I think my english is ok)

You probably have, but just to make sure...have you considered sending it back to Samsung? This is a hardware defect if there ever was one.

Yes I have asked Samsung in here but they said my phone have to be send to Samsung Korea because they don't have the part for this phone. It will take 3-4 weeks or maybe more. Actually Nexus S in my country is very rare, only few lucky people get their hands on these phones. That's why it s really troublesome when something like this happens. If only I can get the part, I have no problem replacing it myself.

I know it'd be a pain, but you may want to take them up on the offer. Could cost you less than a new phone.

PM me your info, ill drop one in the mail for you. I got charged for a phone that I didn't return on time so I have parts.

If I got no other way,I might have to reconsider it. I can still wait for the part, for now..

Bought the new speaker and fix it myself..It's working now.
I love my Nexus S again.
I am wondering about the Possibility of Call recording with this phone. I currently have the Note I, and it works great for 2 way call recording. I plan to upgrade but this is a very important feature for me. Can anyone shead light on "if this phone will work for this" not "if it is legal". I understand lots of places have Laws prohibiting this and every posting I have seen has turned into a legal discusion about this. Where I am it is legal and I just would like to know if this phone suports it. Thanks for any help anyone can give.

have you tried calling or talking to their support?
another thing you can do it jump on twitter and tweet people who tested it
N2 doesn't have call recording (ATT version) but it can be added with hacks.

lol not sure if you're serious, but i wasn't. i'm sure your phone is fine.
I also came across this video similar to the one you found.
If the codes and everything else shows up and the test work. It's real
If it's on the Internet it must be real...right? LOL.
A quick Google search will show a few legitimate sources for the dialer codes. Make sure you do your homework before you believe what you see. Oh, and be careful, some of the dialer codes will reset your phone if you use them.
The dialer codes are disabled on Verizon phones. Makes me mad. I tried to get them to work and didn't know what I was doing wrong till I read Verizon has them disabled.

Go figure out

I have watched alot of these videos n they never specifically point it out. I am not computer savvy so i have no idea what i am looking at. I dont have the greatest signal n have seen where other phones have antenna ports. If anyone on here could screenshot n maybe point out the antennas or the port it would be very helpful.
A little search can do wonders

Yes i had seen that thread...it was vague n didnt actually tell me. I finally got a YTer to tell me specifically. They are located inside the bumper.

each bumper holds several metal contacts. What do they function individually? One of mine contacts on mainboard has come off accidentally. It connects one contact in the lower bumper. But so far seems nothing has gone wrong. But one cant guarantee it won't. Really gotta know what's its function. The one right next to the earphone port. Thanks
