flash while on phone

is there a way to enable camera flash while talking on the phone???

I would love this idea! Anyone know how to enable it? I'd love to have this!

i think the idea we are looking for is that when you are on a call, the led flas on the camera is automatically activated. lol. you guys are hilarious providing an app i must, myself activate during an in call.. lol

I cant think of a single reason you would want to have this? Maybe its just me, but what's the point, am i missing something obvious?
The only thing that would happen is you blind people walking past you and basically inviting thieves to the presence of a hi tech device.

lol, no, it wont be THAT bright. lol. being an avid ex-japanese keitai user, their devices have an led in the front that indicates a lot of things.
damn, come to think about it i miss keitais. they are so functional that anyone outside of japan would never understand their technology.
1) talk about 3g right? i mean, they've have it light-years much before we (USA) got it. and still today, it is not even that popular.
2) Felica chips - who carry cash or credit cards any more?
3) and the list goes on and on and on...
anyone can make a program that can light up the led (ever so dimly) when on call?

I really don't know why would you want to do that but I have a hardware solution for you and it needs your HD2 to be disassembled partialy.

That would be awesome.... Can you explain it to me somehow? And would I be able to get my camera back again?

hacking it apart is a bit extreme if you ask me you could just not use it i dont see how it effects anything else.

According to your sig, you're still on Dutty's WM6.5. Why are you posting in the WP7 forum to ask this question aside from the obvious...just don't use the camera.

I used to work construction in the chemical plants where cameras were not allowed and phones were checked by security at the gate. Upgrade time--me "I need a phone with no camera" Radio Shack dude "uhh...uhhh...uhhh...Idunno..." So I carry my antique cameraless phone on my belt to show security and stuff my new one deep down in my pocket. What am I gonna do, sell pictures of pipes and tanks to the Russians?

Ok, the duttys rom thing i'll get rid of now - I'm using WP7 (thats why i posted here). I was hoping to get more of a software answer than hardware btw.

Seems easy. Disassamble the cover of your phone and stick some tape on the inside of the lens. There are just 4 screws underneath your battery cover.
You can always reverse this process...

well, we dont have a camera button as such, so its not easy to see except for the rather obvious camera lens!
Theres no easy way of showing them that your camera with a physical lens isnt working, you could make sure there is no tile with the camera icon on it but any company worth a damn would realise that anything you could do to you phone in a software sense could be reversed very easily.
If i was your security guy i wouldnt allow it if that was the rules and if your chap would let it go through with a simple software mod then can you PM me your company and his job description i would feel the need for a wee phone call and a career change

if you work in such a company where cameras arent allowed , a software mod which removes camera app wouldnt make it legal in your company. there could be another app with camera funktions too. also to remove camera hardware is stupid cause it just would destroy your device.
if you know that camera smartphones arent allowed dont buy one or buy another to use it at work. there are many of them out there. if i would work there i would buy a normal phone for work.
another work around would be to quit the job.
sorry that i have such emotions in that question but i work in a it department of such a company where cameras arent allowed. and people like this guy are going on our nerves every day. some try to make a sticker on there camera and think its done with that.

Wow your a pain... I cant really say where I work but basically because the iphone 4 is so popular they came out with a rule saying that if you just delete the software it counts... I guess they expect us no to be TOO tech savy.

S5 Cool features

Im new to the S5 so Im wondering what are all the best features/apps that I might have missed? I noticed one today where if you click on a contact and put the phone to your ear it will automatically call that contact. It didnt seem to work 100% tho but I might be doing something wrong...Any others?

I want the notifcation LED to blink when screen is on!

Hello, new S7 Edge owner who came from a Priv (and a long line of BB's before that)
I've searched high and low the last 2 days for answer but can't find an easy one.
Is it possible to have the notification LED work while the screen is on?
I've come across another thread here on XD that suggests I can use Tasker to do it.

Before I invest my time (and possibly money) into Tasker, is there a simpler way of doing this?

Why is that silly? As a Bold user you should know and appreciate how useful it is to have the LED come on even when you are using the phone.

This actually annoys me so much that I might root my phone over this.
My knowledge of hardware/software is pretty low, so don't laugh when I ask this.
Is this a TouchWiz/Samsung driver thing or do you think that it's actually baked into the hardware/firmware of the S7 so that even if I root it, it still won't do what I want it to?

Rooting in itself will not activate the led to come on while the screen is on. I am almost certain that this is baked in and that the led permission cannot be changed.

Nexus 6P one speaker during calls.

Hi, i cant believe this isnt a thing as of yet... but im wondering if anyone knows how to activate both speakers for the nexus 6p when youre on speaker on a call because currently nexus 6p only uses one for some damn reason itd be really nice if it used both. It must be possible to make this mod? Or alter some settings to get this effect? Can someone help me out?

This is intentional, it's like that to limit feedback to the mic. I'm not sure if there are any mods to enable it but it probably wouldn't be a good idea anyway.
