prompt for default browser - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am always prompted by the system to choose between chrome and stock internet browser and I always select chrome on "always". The next time I open a link the phone will ask me again and again. I have already reset defaults for both stock and chrome browsers and still the same thing happens.
How do I go about? I am running stock so I cannot uninstall or freeze the stock app.

Internet browser starting to act up after froyo update

Everytime I start the browser it force closes due to some error.
I have tried clearing the cache and also rebooted the phone, tried open the browser through a bookmark link on the start screen.
Help anyone? I haven't touched remove updates or whatever it is called.
EDIT: Think I have discovered a bug in froyo...
When plugins are selected as accepted in the stock browser settings, the browser can't start regardless of website accessed. I cleared all data and repeated my steps, same thing happened at that point.
I need plugins accepted to be able to access some flash content right?

help with flash player.

Ok I downloaded the flash player to the tablet and installed it. And the flash player settings ask you what browser you wish to use, so I selected chrome, which doesn't support flash on jelly bean. So I wanted to un associate flash with the chrome browser so I can associate it with firefox but I cannot figure out how to do this.
I tried un installing flash, but when I re install flash, it doesn't ask me which browser to use again, it just opens setting up directly in chrome again.
is there a way to un do this. I've looked around and could not find any help.
Yes, of course there is a way to do this.
Go to Settings - Apps - Chrome - scroll down a bit and click on clear defaults

[Q] Browser google login

When I open my browser to the Google homepage it asks me to sign in. I think this is a bug is at asks me every time I open my browser.
I am using Vertigo's pacman ROM.
Certain artefacts can arise owing to a custom ROM. Kindly check with the ROM Developer for a solution, or conversely attempt to perform a 'Clear Data' on the 'Internet' application.
Good luck. :good:

Google.com is not working

OK
I intalled a new stock ROM from sammobile but ever since then when I open Google.com in the browser a message pops out saying your flash player is out of date click OK to update then it redirects me to adobe page.
Plz any help with that?
Thanks
Update your flash player its that simple .
Keep in mind that Chrome and Stock browser ('Internet') do not support plugins of any kind, including Flash. You'll need to use another browser, like Dolphin or Firefox.
Getting Flash is very easy:
Download this file onto your phone (Or onto your PC and copy it to your phone). http://download.macromedia.com/pub/...roid/11.1.115.81/install_flash_player_ics.apk
(That's the official Adobe download link. Adobe took over Macromedia years ago.)
Just install it like any .apk:
Download the file.
Go to settings > Security > check the box behind 'Unknown Sources',
Go to the downloaded file and open it like any file. That'll open the installer.
Follow the steps.
Open the browser. (Again, Chrome or Stock don't support plugins.)
Go to browsersettings > Plugins.
Set it to either Always or Tap to activate. (Or whatever name the browser gives it.)
That's it. Flash is updated and working.
