[Q] Help with Rom Backup - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ok So i've got SuperSU and Clockwork installed on the phone. But for the life of me I can't get into the Recovery section to do a back up. It reboots into the recovery boot from the rom manager but I can't see any where that I can create a backup. Phone keeps booting into the Android recovery system not the CW recovery one.
I have a SM-N9005, Galaxy Note 3.
Thanks

Use Odin to flash CWM for Note 3.

Do I just use the image file downloaded from the clockworkmod.com website into the PDA in odin and flash it that way?

Will this work to root, install recovery and rom?

new to samsung devices so not sure about certain things..
1. root using CF-Auto root
2. install twrp via fastbot, fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
3. downlad rom, wipe and flash via twrp
my question is for cf auto root do i need an odin that's specific to the galaxy s4 or can i use odin i downloaded from let's say a galaxy note 2 thread? and do i need to do anything else to install a rom on samsung phones ? thanks
Yes to 1.
Install twrp through goo manager by hitting the menu button on the "main screen" of the app. Then hit install script or something along those lines. Follow instructions. Now download and flash a ROM.
I would use the odin that comes packaged together with cf auto root. Just to be safe.
As a heads up some Roms may not have WiFi working after flashing. All you need go fix this is to flash a different kernel.

Desktop Odin version doesn't support .img files. Did u try to install CWM via GooManager? (root needed)
Use SGS4 Flasher app to flash the recovery. Its works.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2266656
Everytime I try to flash with Sgs4 flasher it say "unfortunately Sgs4 flasher has stopped"
By the way im not root.
I recently used a software named PeaZip to convert my img file in tar and it was done.
But when I try to start the process with Odin(3.07) it say odin stopped....

Is my phone bricked?

Earlier today I was trying to install the 4.3 Slim Bean Build.1. I was coming from the latest 4.2 Slim Bean ROM. So I did the usual process of wiping everything then installing the ROM and then the GApps. When I rebooted the system from recovery, my phone was just stuck on the Samsung Galaxy S4 loading screen. Now I cannot even boot into recovery, as every time I try to, it will show that the phone is attempting to boot into recovery and then it will just reset. I had TWRP touch recovery installed and everything was working fine until I tried installing this ROM. Are there any suggestions of what I can do/should do? Thanks in advance for any help.
Can you get in download mode(power+vol. Down) if so use odin to flash back to stock.

Yes I can. Is there a guide on how to Odin back to stock? Also, will I lose my root if I do that? Thank you

Download Odin and the latest firmware for your device, extract firmware zip file,it will extract in tar.md5 file.now extract Odin and run the Odin application and connect the device while it is in download mode. click on PDA and load the firmware extracted file. Don't touch anything other than that click on start and leave for some time to complete.
Samsung lies should be installed before the process start.
Download firmware file from sammobile.com.
Your device will be automatically unrooted.

[Q] [AT&T] Phone boots into odin mode, Can't perform normal boot.

Tried to flash twrp recovery from rom toolbox pro and when I tried to boot into recovery, it boots into odin mode. Says could not do normal boot at the top. Won't boot to home screen and won't boot to recovery. How do I get my phone to boot back or do a factory reset and flash the stock firmware?
What firmware version are you on. If you're higher than mdl twrp won't work. You'll need to Odin back to what version you're on

Did you extract it? Use win rar or 7-zip. You need to end up with a .tar.md5 file

Safestrap is the only recovery you can use. Since you are on NB1 / NC1, you'll want v3.72.

[Q] ROM and RECOVERY

hello!
I have galaxy s4 i9500.
stock rom 4.4.2
I tried to flash 2 recoveries (philz and twrp) in both odin and flash from the stock recovery, but none of them worked!
I just want to flash one of this two recoveries so I will be able to flash a custom rom.
instead of working, the recovery stays the stock's recovery.
what should I do?
sorry for my bad English.
thanks!!
Uncheck auto-reboot before flashing with Odin. That should probably fix it.
