Remove battery icon - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there a way to delete the stock battery icon?
I'm on a sm-n9005, stock rom but rooted.
I just want to have my battery in percentages
I tried a app on framework for the Galaxy s models but it didn't work..
Thanks

Tried, but when I press install. I can not do anything, it won't even install or select the box install. Cancel works, my thoughts went out that maybe my phone wasnt compatible with that apk..

I appreciate your help but gravity box does not support 'tweaked' roms like Samsung's touchwiz. Just red that at the compatibility section
Note 3 - Tapatalk

I use it and a lot of features do work. You just have to go through and see what does or doesn't.

You sure?? using it right now for my battery icon...

I was about to try, downloaded it. But can't install this one too. I think it's something with my phone. When I want to press install it won't confirm my touch.. Really weird..
I'm going to try a reboot and then try to reinstall. Going to try both apps, I'll let you guys know.

Ok, İ have screen filter running at night. That's why I couldn't install any of these apps. I'm going to place my bets on the gravity box first now
Note 3 - Tapatalk

Thank you guys for helping me out, gravity box did work! I really appreciate it
Note 3 - Tapatalk

Wanam can also hide the battery icon (Notification panel --> Hide battery icon)

Yeah gravity box is awesome. I use that xblast and winam all together and it gives almost limitless customization. Just find out what doesn't work in gravity box and use xblast and winam to configure the rest. Winam I think is actually designed for touchwiz.

I want the keyboard there, but I don't want the white text area to block the app.
I want it the old way, when you could type in landscape and still see the app.
hi there
sorry for waking this dead thread, but did u fing any solution for it?
I have a Samsung GS3 running Android Revolution HD v32 (4.2.2).
I used to have the landscape full keyboard like u wanted it on my stock ROM, but now I can't figure out how to set it on this ROM.
Did u have any luck with it? maybe an Android system customizer which can do it?
Thanks
PA
Im using Paranoid 3.94 with 4.3 JB and it has an option for this in "Language & input" section
I'm using Xposed + XBlast module

Strange ..
My G2 is gone to a repair center, my son broke the screen
My Nexus 7 2012 and 2013 + My Z ultra are not rooted. All running stock kitkat
I only have the note 8 that is rooted, running 4.2.2. When I tried Xposed on the note 8 I felt it became laggy
Will retry later with Xblast ... Was working fine on my rooted G2
I guess when it comes back from LG, it will be in kitkat, I do not feel comfortable with rooting stock kitkat though
And I think Xposed is not 100% ready with kitkat
So , will retry on the note 8 and let you know

root p600?

I was wondering whether should I root my note or wait for new update? And then root it?
I see no current reason to root. The device is smooth and apps perform fine. I use Nova UI, which also use on all my Android devices.

What about battery? Won't improve battery usage?
I always root right away. Its not that hard to manually install an OTA update. That's what I always do and just re root if it looses root.

Would the currently used root method work for 4.4?

AdAway, Multi Window, and Pen Window managers, as well as Xposed + Wanam modules are very worth it IMO.

Keep an eye on Samsung Watchon. I have caught it chewing up CPU several times now. It may have been the widget causing it, so I removed that and will see if it stops it from happening.

Flashlight toggle KitKat

Does anybody know if the flashable flashlight toggles for the s4 or tmobile note 3 will work with our phones? Or is there a flashable pull down toggle for a flashlight that works with kitkat leak on our phones?
I use the exposed framework and it works, but you need to be rooted

I know but I'm just saying that there is not a module to add a toggle to the quick toggles.
I couldn't find a pull down toggle module. Anybody else know of anything? Nobody is really responding in the sprint forums if their flashable zip will work on verizon.

I just flashed the Sprint zips and they add the toggle but it does not turn on the LED. If you're using a custom ROM with it's own settings in the settings menu it will remove them.

You are rooted your Note4, and then install xposed framework , wanam, then select your app at the wanam
Enjoy!!
Thanks! Im not rooted tho, still learning, just figured how to side load on my galaxy gear 1, also I'm using a mac, so I'm pretty limited
Actually it doesn't even show up in the multiwindow list in Wanam, which I find interesting.
You might be able to get multi window enabled for twitter (or any other app) with MW-Pen App Enabler - no root required: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.xperiacle.multiwindow.enable&hl=en

New TouchWiz UI for Marshmallow users, removes Sprint branding (no root)

Some of you may have seen this:
http://www.xda-developers.com/samsu...iz-is-a-ui-giant-leap-forward-two-steps-back/
Turns out it appears to work for the Note 4 Marshmellow users as well. I've been using it for only a little bit, one change I noticed is that it removes the Sprint branding in the upper left without requiring root. I searched for the app in Galaxy Apps, it wasn't available there, but you can download the apk attached to this post
The recent apps feature is pretty terrible, but it's something different you guys can try.
EDIT: I tried this with the fingerprint scanner, it made me not able to get past the lock screen, all I saw was a blank wallpaper. I guess it works on the Note 4 but not optimized for it. I was able to finally get past it by clicking on the notifications, messing with the settings on GoodLock, causing it to crash, and then my phone rebooted with it uninstalled.
This is interesting. I'm testing it out to see how it goes. Can you say anything about battery life compared to without it?

CAREFUL!! I just set up finger print scanner with this to see how it functions, now I can't get past the lock screen, all I see is my wallpaper, even in safe mode, I might have to do a hard reset :\
Edit: finally got past the fingerprint scanner after the app crashed and made my phone reboot, and then gave me the option to type in the password instead. It worked great prior to setting that portion up though, so mixed feelings about it so far.

negative. there's a lockscreen bypass you can flash in TWRP
it simply disables your lockscreen. I have seen it and for some time, had it, but no longer thanks to a goofed internalsd format ;(
if you find it, please post link!
It felt laggy to me, I've already taken it down. I love the notification bar though

not really imo, apart from letting you group notifications and setting alerts for them, and making the notification pull down menu look closer to stock android.
Edit: I take that back. When you take a screenshot now it comes up with 3 options, more/share/crop. If you hit more, it lets you take a scrolling screenshot without having to use the s-pen.

Alright, well, I jumped back on board to see if I could make this work for me. What I did was install the APK as usual and then used TB to delete the system UI (launcher). Since I use NOVA anyway, I also deleted TouchWiz and TouchWiz Easy crap... This setup has me running faster and with better battery life than ever before! Can't wait for a kernel for this MM situation!

That's crazy that you deleted TouchWiz, didn't even know that was possible lol, hopefully you don't run into any issues, because I had it crash once which caused it to just uninstall itself from my phone.
Good Lock updated with some gesture controls (Which I have yet to test) and bug fixes.

Edit: I'll answer my own q, there is an uninstall option in the settings.
This actually seems pretty nice, I appreciate the chance from the same old Samsung noti dropdown.
I am missing the wifi calling on quick settings already, however.
Three options in the settings. Uninstall is one of them
