Hey Everyone, currently I have a G900A and I want to put back to stock rom and sell my phone.
My phone was rooted by towerroot and has SuperSU installed (Extreme Debloat Rom 2.3b)
Thank you
Use the Odin software to write a full, stock ATT firmware back to your phone, followed by a factory data reset.

Hey guys,
I've currently got a Galaxy S3 with a three branded rom (I9300XXALE8, baseband I9300NELE4) and I was just wondering what I would need to do to ensure that I get all my apps, settings customisations etc back after I flash to an unbranded firmware (so I can get the latest updates straight from Samsung and get rid of the Three boot splash screen)
I'm currently rooted and have flashed a few modifications (disable increasing ring). Would I need to re-root and re-flash these once I put the new firmware on?
Also, would I get everything the way it is now back by restoring from a Titanium Pro backup? I've also saved a recovery thing using ClockworkMod, would I need to restore this at any point?
One last question: which firmware would be best to flash on my phone. Is the I9300XXALF2 one the best current UK unbranded firmware?
So I ****** up, I'm usually good with this stuff but I don't know...
Anyways here is what happened. I had a rooted stock rom on Jellybean. Working fine I wanted to upgrade so...
I installed safestrap 3.71 and flashed the Urdroid stock rooted kitkat rom. Then I went onto ODIN and installed the files in this tutorial
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2712039
I got an error and the files did not install (good thing) and I realized crap the ATT Note 3 is not the same as the Rogers version...
ATT = SM900A
Rogers = SMN900W8
soooooo I realized I've been in the wrong forum this whole time (ATT Note 3) and I was wondering what can I do to get help? Safestrap (a recovery for ATT models) still works and I'm pretty sure I can flash JB roms still. I'm not sure which rom to use and where to go now.
What can I do to get back to stock brand new condition and start experimenting all over again? I want clean up this mess.
Okay I'm downloading the stock firmware from that sammobile and going to flash it with ODIN, hopefully should put me back to factory condition
Hello,
I tried several things to unlock my phone, unfortunately, unsuccessfuly.
I use the Sim Unlock code provided by Vodafone : no chance
I rooted the phone and tried Region Lock Away or the Sim Unlock Samsung app, no chance either. I think that the phone is rooted properly but everytime an app request root access, it times out.
I am running out of (good) idea. Any pointer would be very helpful!
Thanks
David
Are you trying all of these thing while running a stock ROM?
I had the same problem with t-mobile in America. It was because I was using a custom rom. I backed up my phone, installed a "stock rooted rom" and was then unable to unlock the sim. Then I used my backup to restore my phone back to the custom rom. Good luck.
I used Odin 3.04 then I install CWM recovery on it.
I tried to unlock the phone before rooting it but it didn't work which is why I try to root it, nothing works... What is a stock rom ? I only want to sim unlock it really, i dont need / want it rooted specifically
What is a stock rom
Stock as in standard firmware as supplied by Samsung .
This all assumes you have a custom rom installed.
You can return your phone to stock (maybe) but it's kind of a pain.
It seems easier to flash a stock rooted rom, which is similar enough to stock to fix your problem.
Google "stock rooted rom vodafone note 3" or maybe just N9005XXUGBOA5_N9005VFGGBOA2 seems to be what you are looking for {actually that appears to be the stock file that you can flash with odin and mostly re-stock your phone.... not sure if it will accomplish what you need}.
Hello everyone.
N910W running stock Samsung firmware, 5.1.1 Lollipop.
I had my phone rooted a few months back and decided I wanted to try a Marshmallow rom. I created a backup of my pre-rooted device a few days prior, so I wasnt worried.
The rom I flashed for some reason would not allow me to use my carriers network, but only other networks. So i restored my unrooted backup.
Now whenever I try to root my phone, I get a bootloop. Every method I've tried so far (TWRP flash and ODIN, pretty much) has produced similar results. I could find the original samsung firmware for the device and flash it over and start from scratch, but I don't want to lose my data if I don't have to.
Halp. Send halp.
thanks guys.
P.s. i tried using the search, but this is either a unique problem or the search bar sucks.
I am using Aryanof s7 edge port in my note 3. I need to restore everything back to official. So I think I need to go back to 5.0.
Do I just download the official from and install in obin? How can I restore bootloader too? Thanks.
Use Odin to flash the latest stock ROM for your phone. The stock ROM will include the bootloader, modem, system.
Thanks. Any special instructions I need to be aware?
I tried to downgrade for my previous s2 but it becomes bricked several years ago. I then notice some big version cannot downgrade. That's why I create a thread.
Let me try
I recommend flashing the latest stock ROM for your phone. This will ensure that the bootloader and modem are not being downgraded.
unfortunately, the phone is bricked.
there is a need for me to use the latest stock rom which is 5.0. May I know what I can do?
My retailer gives me some discount for my new phone but I need to restore to the stock rom
If the phone is bricked you can do nothing .Bricked is dead phone .
How did the phone brick?
It keeps rebooting. I then tried to flash another 5.0 stock ROM and due to other things happen, I just leave it there. Amazingly, when I come back, I see the setup screen.
Now i successfully downgrade from 6 to 5. Thanks
