You said that you've been looking for ages? What does that mean? That seems to imply that you've done a lot of searching - which would make it surprising that you hadn't found the numerous existing threads on boot animations. Let us know what keywords you tried and perhaps we can help you make better searches.
And doesn't seem to change? You've tried changing your boot animation? You neglected to tell us what you tried? If you describe step by step what you tried, it would be a lot easier to spot where you went awry or what you might have missed.

Hey guys, I was curious if Android animation screen can be changed ?
I searched around and found little information about this.
I figure if the splash screen on boot can be changed then the flashing android screen can be.
I could think of a few things I'd like to have on my phone besides the word android flashing across it !

EDIT: I don't know if I'm understanding correctly...You mean the screen after the T-Mobile G1 screen, right?
I know that it can be changed, I just wouldn't be able to tell you how.
Maybe someone in the Themes forum could help you with that...

Nah,
I'm talking about the screen after the splash1 screen, the animation.
**EDIT**
I've read the 2nd thread and I didn't really understand the method that one guy laid out, I'm not quite that savy with it. It would be cool to see someone give a good guide on how to change out the screens like the guide for
custom boot images.
I was recently looking at a few diff start-up screens in the Windows Mobile forums. But I cant seem to get any of them to work am i missing something. Let me clarify I actually like the animation ones but I cant get them to work any suggestions??
Yes, I did search the forums.... about 7-8 times, using every permutation of this question that I could think of, but I came up empty.
Can anyone point me to the best way to give the HTC default startup screen to the US version?
thanks.
I assume the shut-down screen is removed by a custom ROM, but if not, can anyone help me with this too?

Do a hard reset. This will "reload" your phone back to factory settings. Turn off. Hold the up and down volume buttons while pressing the on button. It will will walk you through the rest. Most of those tweaks conflict. I recommend loading a custom ROM until you know what your doing.
Hard reset.
Hey bro.thanx to you,and that other guy but you saved me 400 bucks i appreciate all.. And definitely gonna try and learn more on this phone

It would be helpful if you post exactly what you did that caused the problem that way people can learn from the experience. Also be careful what you try...especially just starting off. There are still things I wont try for fear of bricking..or having to hardreset. I got it down to like 15 mins and I am back to running like I was before the hardreset but it is annoying to have to reinstall all the little tweat and mods I had.
Titles like the one you've used really make things worse. It doesn't serve the community in anyway except to alleviate your problem.
It's not rocket science to come up with a more descriptive title. That way if someone else has the same problem in future, they could learn a thing or two based on the suggestions everyone has made in your thread.
Click on EDIT in the first post that you made. Go to advanced and edit the title of this thread... PLEASE!
Thread title modified.
