Well for splash screen, check out buzz's website..it gives very easy instructions on how to change the splash screen. His website address is www.buzzdev.net and as your 1st question stands..i havent seen any 1 who has been able to change his dialer screen for universal..Guys..please tell me iam wrong on this one..
Btw..its a good intiative that you took of starting today screen topic for universal. Sorry wont be able to post mine..cause im still working on it..ill post it as soon as im finished. well where is yrs?

Can the Android Animation screen be changed ?

Hey guys, I was curious if Android animation screen can be changed ?
I searched around and found little information about this.
I figure if the splash screen on boot can be changed then the flashing android screen can be.
I could think of a few things I'd like to have on my phone besides the word android flashing across it !

EDIT: I don't know if I'm understanding correctly...You mean the screen after the T-Mobile G1 screen, right?
I know that it can be changed, I just wouldn't be able to tell you how.
Maybe someone in the Themes forum could help you with that...

I'm talking about the screen after the splash1 screen, the animation.

I've read the 2nd thread and I didn't really understand the method that one guy laid out, I'm not quite that savy with it. It would be cool to see someone give a good guide on how to change out the screens like the guide for
custom boot images.

Im new and need advice

Ok first off this is my first winmo phone which is the T-Mobile HTC HD2. The phone is great. The first issue I have on all phones is that I like bein able to customize it to the max!!!
But IDK were to start and how to do anything But I would really like some input and advice and be pointed in the right direction to make this phone my perfect for me!!

Im the same way... I want to be able to customize it how I want! Sometimes I feel like I could develope apps better than the manufacturer themselves! lol But no not really... I'd have to teach myself first.

get started in the regular hd2 section 'themes and apps' thread. Co0kies home tabs and max manilla will probably be your first stops.

dont worry that you have a tmous and not a regular hd2, its only roms and radios that know the difference between the phones.

Definitaley you have to get ahold of cookies home tab and editor. They are a must have!!! try this site.... http://hd2apps.blogspot.com/ make sure you read carefully before you install anything...it will help you from having to do a factory reset....

Problem with running android on my HTC

First of all, I'm new to this forum (Hi!) and I know this is probably posted in the wrong section, but I don't have enough posts to post it in the appropriate one and I don't want to go spam random comments.
Anyhow, I have an HTC Touch (Either a Vogue or an HTC Elf, I can't see the difference). I've been trying to get Android on my phone using this tutorial (+ the file in the description "Android Eclair for HTC Vogue")

All goes well until I try running HaRET, it says "Jumping to Kernel" after running it, gives me a grey/black screen, then a white screen and then it sort of freezes.
Now I know I need to use the right default.txt, but for some reason I can't find the right one anywhere and I think that's my problem.

This is the way I got Myn's Warm Donut working on my OKTA Touch (HTC Vogue).
Just follow the instructions here and you will be fine. Also don't skip any of them out either as you will just brick your phone

There's a critical difference between the CDMA Touch (Vogue) and GSM Touch (Elf) - their chipsets. Vogue is MSM, Elf is OMAP. there is no Android port for the Elf.

Splash Screen change possible? Want to include Theft Warning (See Video)

Hey Guys.
Im coming from the HTC Desire Section - A pretty huge section where EVERYTHING has been developed.
On my HTC Desire i was able to change the Splashscreen and include a theft warning like "WARNING: This device has been stolen, owner: X Y Z"
Now i have my Galaxy Note and i want to change the Splash Screen (the black one, "Galaxy Note N7000") with my own one to make another theft warning.
My "secondary solution" right now is to make a bootanimation with a theft warning and my ownerinformation, but bootanimations can easily be removed, splash screens are not removable for most noobs and thefts
So:
Is there any possibility to change the splash screen of the Galaxy Note?
Here is a quick video of my bootanimation-solution so you guys know what i am talking about:
First you see the black Spalshscreen i want to change and then you see my secondary solution with the bootanimation

Anyone knows weather it works with the Galaxy Note too?

I'm asking for help to - but in another way!
This may sound ironic but what your looking to get rid of...I'm asking/seeking if you have access to. I'd like to make the splash screen my wallpaper and I can't find it anywhere. All I need is to capture a few frames and configure them to 1280x800 and save them.
I'm not rooted - won't do so until after we receive our Ice Cream Sandwich update. Having always rooting my phones I don't feel the rush to since our Galalxy Notes are unlocked and not having much bloatware.
Of course not having done so (rooting) leaves me in a pinch when it comes to finding or having access to the bootanimation zip files I normally had open access to. I'm in no hurry this time around - I don't see the need to do so at this point in time.
Anyone's help in finding the bootanimation for the Galaxy Note is deeply appreciated!

com on i whould like to replace my splash screen..

Do a search on installing cwm kernel from chainfire, that enables you to inject any customised boot images. Search before posting, pretty sure it's a sticky.
There's also a whole thread on custom boot animations which again would have shown up in a search.
