Can someone please send me a link where I can download the stock tar file for Jelly Bean 4.2.2 or Kitkat 4.4.2 please that will only take 30 mins or less to download please? I prefer Jelly Bean 4.2.2 but if that doesn't work then I'll try Kitkat 4.4.2 even though I'm not too happy with that OS.

And No you cannot go back to 4.3.
I had sprints official 4.3. Then i rooted and had cyanogenmod 4.4.2. I wanna go back to stock so I downloaded 4.2.2 from galaxys4root.com and tried flashing through odin but it keeps failing. Someone please help me! it's driving me crazy
Search a bit more. You cannot go back to an earlier version of android through odin. you have to get a 4.3 tar. Either MJA or MK2.

Could you please elaborate? I'm a noob (and a dweeb) but I just got updated to KitKat and it sucks. I'm a photographer and I use several photo editing apps that suddenly are not allowed to write to my SD card. I need Jellybean back.

Once updated to kitkat using ota then your stuck with kitkat you can downgrade back to jelly bean. Only way would be flashing a mk2 or mja rom. But you would still be in kitkat nae.

But where would I get the stock 4.3? im sorry i dont know what mk2 and mja is. I just wanna get sprints stock 4.4. i understand i can't downgrade back to 4.2.2, but what should I do? where do i download? im desperate for help lol

Like he already stated, best you could do now is install a custom recovery after rooting your phone, then flash a Jellybean ROM from there. You familiar with doing any of that?

There is a one line edit needed to restore full write capability to the sdcard with kit kat. It takes about 10 seconds to accomplish but you must be rooted. There is no way to odin back to 4.3 if you OTA to 4.4.2, like stated earlier, you can install a stock like 4.3 rom but I don't think you need to do that. Search for the sdcard write problem in these forums and edit the platform.xml file and all your stuff will write to the sdcard again.

Hi I have a galaxy s4 and I need to update it its on 4.2.2 and I want to get it to the most current 4.4 I believe
I have rooted it however when I try to update to 4.3 it give a status 7 error when I try to update from sd card
when I try to check for the over the air update it says I am up to date
any help will be much appreciated

Odin NAE tar, and re root. That's all you have to do. Search for the file its here in development.

What firmware are you on right now? If you are using KitKat, you can not go back to Jelly Bean.

IMO Singapore's firmware is open and cleanest.
where i can get the stock rom 4.3 for note 3 n9005? my first and released note 3 with 5.0 lollipop. i hate it. i want it 4.3 because lovely 4.3 rom. plz give me any bugs of 4.3. rom official. when i installed firmware 4.3 from odin phone bootloop. and dont start. so i see i cant installed 4.3 firmware. so put a rom with installation procedure. thanks!
You may find by search in general section .
Or from the usual stock sources. Samsung-updates or sammobile .Or via google search.
But your Kies backup should have it from when you backed up your original rom.

You are in a Lollipop bootloader, you cannot go back to JB (stock) anymore
You need to root and flash a custom ROM based on JB

Seriously, at this day and age you're better off just sticking with Lollipop.
I know I'm spoon feeding, but I figured what the heck. Here:
Jellybean based ROM
Kit Kat based ROM
I have not tested these ROMs nor am I responsible for what you do with your phone.
Please please PLEASE, DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH
