Hey Guys,
I'm running Paranoid Android on my Nexus 4 and have tried several different kernels from, franco.kernel, Mirage, AK and stock-PA but all of them do the same thing, I've connected it like you can see below:

However when I load StickMount and try to mount it does the following even though on my Nexus 10 it works fine
Any help?
Try this and enable he OTG with synapse app.

If you using synapse you need to flash ukm after flashing the kernel then it will work.

Ahh, that works. Thank you.
Does anyone know why the symlinks aren't working?
If I go to /sdcard/usbStorage/ the SDCard is accessible via the /SDA1/ folder; however what is sda2 for... it appears blank on my screen when I go into it.

A OTG-Y cable with a USB stick in the end..., exactly as you see in the picture: http://i.imgur.com/8h1IYmK.png
I also can't copy my music from /sdcard/Music to /sdcard/USBStorage/sd1 as it says there isn't enough space :/
Thanks guys.
I have been trying for 2 days to get USB OTG working on a Nexus 4.

Hey XDA,
I recently upgraded to JSS 4.3 from 4.2.2 with franco kernel. My issue is that I'm unable to delete system apps using es file explorer, it shows the toast notification "file is read only". I've given it SuperSU permissions, so that shouldn't be the error. I've tried using TWRP to fix permissions as well.
Any suggestions? Thanks!

root explorer, es is having issues in 4.3.

Worked! Thank you very much, this was a very useful and detailed guide. +++1
As a side not, it says Uninstall failed BUT the uninstall appears to actually work. Assuming this is just an odd ES glitch.
Thanks again Andy!

Just reported this minor glitch.
Your welcome.
EDIT: Looks like binary misreporting, I know a method which can fix this.
It is to delete has it was BUT for the checking part the command "ls" gets used to check if that is removed.

I use Perseus kernel for only one reason, the LED controls, but every time I open Synapse it says boot settings cancelled! The funny part is I don't even reboot the device, and that laughable error pops up, and the settings revert back to default and don't stick! I'm sure I'm not the only person facing this issue, so is there any solution to this?
God and I disliked S Tweaks! I should be ashamed
I'm on stock MK9 btw.

Really no one?
Issue still persists! How does people use this kernel actually?
I got this problem too.
No idea how to fix it, flashed so many different kernels.
In my case, after updated synapse doesn't say no more.

So old...I'm seeing my embarassing "no experience + no search" post. :crying:
SOLUTION: The error is there when your phone is rejecting the new settings. If you're on the latest Synapse, you can disable it in the Settings of the app.

No, that doesn't work as well. You need to change your SELinux status to permissive.

That depends. Because I keep my kernel enforcing Selinux at all times and it applies settings fine.

So I'm assuming this isn't a serious issue since no one is bothering to respond?

There's supposed to be that sound playing when you charge your phone, but mine doesn't do that. Weird. Any advice?

Usually when replacing files on your phone, you will have to set it to the correct permission value or else the phone won't react to it.
On File Explorer, my permissions are set like this

Very strange. If you want you could try using GravityBox to replace your charging sound and that would work....or just flash back stock ROM if it bothers you a lot.

If root(SuperSu) is installed in system(most likely it is) it won't be gone when you do factory reset. And as long as you have TWRP recovery, you need only few clicks to get root.
I propably can't help you. But about my earlier post, make sure the changes you made to the "update-script" file are saved in zip. I once had same propblem and realized that changes weren't saved even though winrar said so.

Hi,
I have a Nexus 7 2012 that I'm trying to Flash Stock + Unroot (soft Bricked/bootloop) using the Wugfresh NRT.
It keeps failing at the same spot regardless of what stock ROM I try to flash.

No matter which method I try to Flash a ROM to the device I get an error.
Even when trying to Flash back to stock which I downloaded from the Official Google site I get this error for all versions:-

First update your TWRP. Are you using the correct ROM? Which version of the Tab are you having? Download the correct ROM and then flash it.

That's what I have been doing, the ROM's are for my device.
Nexus 7 2012 (WiFi).
looks like you're using OTG USB to flash stock
you should boot to bootloader, connect to PC and flash stock firmware from there...
Hi,
I tried that via NRT and it still gives errors.
