in need of some serious help asap - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

my lgg2 att that had optimusg3 and dori installed is stuck at twrp and just lops back to twrp. i tried restoring a backup but ti always goes right back to twrp. I cant enter download mode either . how do i fix this asap, my mother had a heart attack this morning and i need my cell working to be able to communicate with my sister who is at the hospital

What have you tried besides your backup. Did you just try reflashing the ROM without the kernel? Do you have any other ROMs on your storage? Did you wipe system data cache and davlik cache and reinstall. There just seems to be something wrong with the boot on your backup.

Having A Flash Problem...

I just recently Sbf'd my and did a factory reset of my Droid x. I then activated my phone and re rooted and flashed clockwork recovery and I can't flash a rom anymore. Can anyone help with this problem?
Have you tried wiping cache, data and stuff and or trying to mount the system folder? is the recovery reading your sdcard by any chance?
if you made a previous backup could you restore it in recovery?
don't know much about this stuff but i hope it helps

Bootloop after CWM restore

My Nexsus 4 was at 5.0.1 updated OTA, I rooted and installed recovery and created a nandriod backup on the internal SD card. The phone was working fine for the most part except it was having issues with the screen going black when making a call and would not come out of that state. I wanted to revert back prior backup so I did a nandriod restore with CWM v6.0.4.7 and now my phone is in a bootloop. I've tried wipe data/factory reset, also tried wipe cache partition, but still stuck in bootloop. I'm not sure what else I can do to get out of this bootloop state/ Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Fixed it by using Nexus Root Tool Kit to flash stock image. Not sure what happened but I'm switching to TWRP. First time using CWM and things didn't work out well for me using it.

Need help restoring phone!

I was about to flash my phone back to a stock ROM to reset my sensors because my GPS navigation wasn't working. I wiped the data and cache on my phone, then installed the 39A bootstack and rebooted back into recovery, once back into recovery, my slide was half cut off my screen, when it wasn't before wiping and installing the bootstack. Now, I do not know what to do to get back into the phone, because there is no ROM installed? can someone please help me? I'm guessing I will have to KDZ to stock.
Install kdz via Lg flash tool. You don't need wipe internal storage if you scared about this.
You could also try restoring the phone by doing an upgrade recovery in the LG Mobile Support Tool. Not sure if the support tool will wipe the phone' s data.

Restored Backup not booting properly? "#### has stopped"

Guys,
I have an S5 running Cyanogen Lollipop and Philz Touch 6.26.2 as the recovery. I was experimenting with flashing a new camera .ZIP earlier today but BEFORE doing so I used Philz to create a backup. The flash of the .zip for the camera went wrong and ended up prompting the phone to hang on boot.
I booted into Recovery and restored my backup...restarted the phone and it then booted as normal BUT as soon as Android had booted, it was unusable as I just kept getting the "##### has stopped" error messages, one after the next - the launcher doesn't appear and the phone is completely unusable.
I have tried a 'Factory Reset' and wiping the Dalvik cache, on boot it optimises all apps but then does precisely the same.
Please help as I'm travelling tomorrow and need to sort this tonight!!
Cheers

Backup restore also system apps and sometimes there are problems. I think you must flash the rom without backup.

Ok, this has given me an idea - I have flashed fresh Cyanogen and now I'm attempting to restore just the 'data' and 'cache' elements of my backup by using the Philz 'Custom Restore' feature...fingers crossed!
So, my idea worked...my phone is now back up and running, what a relief!

Cannot wipe with TWRP

Hi,
I have G935F, installed TWRP 3.0.0.0 and rooted, WITHOUT wiping. System boots correctly, but I cannot do factory reset or wipe with TWRP, because I got some messages like "Cannot mount Data" and "Failed crypto loader". I understand that it has to do with encryption. Can someone please enlight me, and give me tips about the issue?
Thank you

You have to download dm-verity and force encryption disabler from here , put it to SD card, reboot into TWRP, FORMAT DATA (not wipe) and flash that file (dm-verity and force encryption disabler). All your data will be erased.
No way to unencrypt without loosing you data for the moment(
"All your data will be erased" means that after boot I'll find a clean system installation (as factory reset)?
I hope not to be posing stupid questions, I'm completely new to this world
Thank you very much
Yes just as a factory reset

No, you cannot perform a backup, because your data is encrypted by default and the only way to disable it is to format your data.
I have a unique problem. I have a HTC Desire 612 from Verizon and I decided to revive it to playe PoGo. But it was stuck in a boot loop and I couldn't get any custom ROM.
Finally a gentle soul here gave me the stock rom and I flashed it vide TWRP and played PoGo for weeks. Then yesterday the phone bro led and when it came up it was stuck in a boot loop.
So I decided to flash the stock ROM again. But before that I tried to factory reset. I could go to TWRP, select wipe data, enter yes and the wiping was successful, then clear dalvic and cache and system beforehand finally I flashed the stock ROM.
Surprise surprise is NOTHING happens. The phone boots without the apps telling me they are installing. Then I get back the exact same data in my phone including my selected wallpaper and apps. Before I can do anything the phone restarts.
Point is wiping and restoring the stock ROM does NOTHING to the phone yet the processes are successful. Can somebody help?
