Storage capacity - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
If I want to update my apps, my tablet gives the notification "not enough storage capacity". However, I have 8GB available... How can I solve this?
Tnx

Programs or apps not only are stored in user data, but as optimized runtimes in system dalvik cache, which is a limited storage area. Delete some apps or wipe dalvik and let it rebuild.

I've wipped the Delavik catch, but the problem is not solved yet... There are not that many apps running on it.

Your data partition could be corrupt.
If it were me, I'd see if you can back them up with titanium backup and flash stock firmware again with fastboot.
Wiping in custom recovery, assuming you have one, system, cache, dalvik and data first. Then go into bootloader and flash stock with fastboot.
You can wipe with fastboot too... Just don't wipe userdata.

Here is a guide to do that.

Yes, you'll have to root again and flash custom recovery after.

Problem updating to Jellybean via OTA (bootloop)

Hi,
i tried to update my Note to Jellybean via Wifi and now i am having a bootloop. I can not shut it down, it just restarts into bootloop.
I can access the the download mode and the recovery mode, but clear cache did not chance anything.
I need my date from S Note, is there a way to escape the bootloop? Or is there a way to save this data before doing a factory reset?
Thanks in advance!
Well you can boot into download mode, install CWM and then boot into CWM, back up data do a factory reset or format if required and once everything is working do a partial restore from CWM

I think Titanium can restore from CWM backup but not sure

By my definition, full clean installation = format sytem, format data, wipe data cache, wipe dalvik AND format internal storage.
Remember if you format internal storage, it will wipe every personal thing on your phone. So backup first.

You can also perform factory reset from the phone or from the recovery.

The newest twrp does it automatically. Are you flashing the most current version?

You will have to flash your partitions over again. Something got corrupted. I don't know exactly how it happens, but I know how to fix it. On mine it will ask for a pattern i never set up.
Download stock factory image and pull out just the system, vendor, recovery, boot and cache images. Then flash each one in this order:
Recovery
Cache
Boot
System
Vendor
This will leave your data partition intact. Just flash twrp and you should see all your files.
If this fails you will have to go complete scratch and just use the flash-all command in factory image. This will wipe it all. Then you can flash twrp and start over. It's best to leave your vendor partition alone when doing backups and restores when using custom roms. Stick to boot, system and data. I don't get the weird decrypt prompt when I only mess with these partitions.

How to restore 6p to default then re-root

I am looking to do an entire wipe of my 6p, like delete all the files, etc and then reinstall the latest IMG, radio, etc. Once I'm back to full stock I know how to root, etc.
But is there a way to do a total wipe of my device and then flash via Odin or another program the stock stuff?
Thanks
Just simply flash the OTA ROM https://developers.google.com/android/ota

Flashing the OTA won't wipe the phone. You need to flash the full stock image.

Lenovo A6000 dead

My phone is Lenovo A6000 Plus. It got encrypted by mistake and now after a lots of efforts its got bricked. No OS. TWRP is running only after getting command though fastboot boot recovery.img. Everything is wiped default TWRP splash screens.
When I try to wipe it or try to flash any zip or img it shows errors like "unable to mount /data / system /cache". I think its internal storage got encrypted.
I tried everything. Changed a lot of TWRP but not working. Not able to flash any custom ROM. Not able to wipe anything due to this error. Internal storage shows 0 mb. Not showing in MTP device.
Is there any way to completely wipe internal storage or make it visible in PC so I could format it? I tried every flashing tool for lenovo like QFIL lenovo downloader but not working at all.
Please help.
Try this maybe

Try flashing CWM Recovery and if it wont boot try flashing kitkat firmware zip from xda thread and then try booting. After that you can only flash kitkat roms

Also try going to advance format selecting one by one partition and going to repair.Or go to settings and thick use rm -r to wipe partitions.Good luck
