Very high battery drain when IDLE - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello xda,
I've noticed a somewhat increase in battery drain the last couple of days. I charged it up to 100% and let it discharge overnight, a whopping 25% battery was drained in 8 hours of standby modus.
Now, I've installed BBS and I've come to the conclusion that system_server is taking up 70% battery when idle.
See attachment: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8uz34hblyl1hwwz/Screenshot_2014-08-28-10-13-06.png?dl=0
Now i've googled for numberous hours but can't get a real fix for this. I've already resetted it alot and I keep having this battery drain. is there anything else i can try?
Edit: Im running stock rooted with CF autoroot 4.4.2

Battery Life

I just got the X10 a few days ago and i'm loving it.
Apparently the problem is battery life.
Right now I have Dooms kernel with Wolfs ROM and is draining about 10% on very low use.
I have wiped battery stats and tried to calibrate the battery but no help.
Under battery usage I have display @ 54%, Cell standby @ 26%, phone idle 19%.
While being off charger for 30 minutes the screen has been on for 3 minutes and is on lowest brightness.
Could my battery be dying since I bought it used and the person before had it for about a year.
Should I use a different ROM?
Thanks for your help!

Regarding all these battery issues...

Like most of my fellow XDAers, I've been struggling with battery management issues. What apps to install, CPU hogs and all that jazz.
However, while I've been very pleased with the battery life I was getting from my U8800, I saw several guys complaining of horrible battery performance. I thought that they were just 'doing it wrong'...
I now wonder...
Since November I started noticing strange battery issues. Very fast draining, misleading battery readouts... I wiped my device, flashed it with pretty much all roms (custom and official) available but my battery kept screwing me. And its been worse as time gone by! I now hardly get 8 hours with at most 1 hour of usage.
I'm now posting this after calibrating my battery 4 times the day before and the first time I used our today my battery life went from 100% to 82% in less than 5 minutes! CPU spy reports 85% of deep sleep. Better battery stats has hardly anything logged. I already ordered a new battery but if this keeps going on...
Thoughts?

Why did you calibrate 4 times? How did you calibrate it?
Charge it to full, calibrate battery using app/recovery/deleting batterystats.bin, leave it to totally discharge, fully charge. It is not calibrated until you go through a couple of charge/discharge cycles.

Increased Battery Life

I am running CM10.1.3.1 with the nitest 7/20/2013 kernel and FC19 modem, on an Onite 1900 mAH battery.
I used many of the tips in this post;
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2357417
10 hours overnight with minimal usage, my battery now drops to 78% and shows 4 days 15 hours of similar usage before the battery will be drained fully. I've never, since buying the phone new, had better than 26 hours of stand-by time show up with a fully charged battery. I'm now showing 5 days.
Of course, screen usage is still the big impact, so actually using the phone drains it just as fast, but it is nice to know that, if I am not using it, I don't have to keep it plugged in all the time now.
I could be completely wrong about this but...
Have you been rebooting your phone? From what I've read rebooting the phone can throw off the battery stats. Basically the battery storage and usage is all the same its just the reporting thats off. I'm guessing battery stats get readjusted over time if the phone remains powered on.

Phone will not deep sleep below ~40%

Here is a puzzle. Overall problem statement is that when the battery level is below 40%, the battery drains quickly with minimum wakelocks. In other words, the phone does not "deep sleep" when battery percentage is below 40%.
My definition of "deep sleep" is battery drain slows to less than 1%/hr and this is usually shown in the battery graph as a near horizontal line.
Phone: Samsung i337m (Telus)
ROM: Kitkat 4.4.2 NE1 Odin flash firmware, so everything is NE1.
Other info: Towelrooted, Xposed Framework installed
Below is a screenshot dump of the battery info, BBS, and Wakelock Detector (WLD).
Observe that BBS and WLD are logging since last unplugged at ~1.5 hrs ago. So when you look at the battery info screenshot, please take into account the last 1.5 hr time on the right hand side only. If you look carefully, there isn't too many wakelocks. This is confirmed by BBS and WLD.
Only exception is in the last SS in WLD showing NILS program keeping the screen on for 8 min & 32 sec, which doesn't really make sense.
Check out the last SS for the Poor Battery Drain batch to show that battery drain is much higher at 1.2%/hr over a 7 hour period. This is compared to 0.7%/hr over a similar 7 hour period. The only difference is the starting battery level.
Good Battery Drain SS posted for comparison purposes and to illustrate my point
Based on the above, my only theory is that the battery calibration is off such that below 40% the battery has drained much more than indicated....
Any other ideas or suggestions to fix this problem?

[Q] Battery getting tired?

Hi guys.
So for the past month or so I have noticed that my battery is getting worse somehow. For example, before it used to last very long from 100% to 99%, could get up to 40 mins sot and good standby time in that 1%. Now, that 1% is gone after max 10 mins sot OR just 2 hours standby time!
What can cause this? Wakelock detector and BBS shows nothing. I tried going back to fully stock by kdz but damn still draining waay faster than it used to.
I am starting to think that wiping and flashing ROMs many times can damage battery.
Any ideas on what I can do to check my battery health status or something?
Hope someone can help. Thanks
