[Q] Problem after using Fake GPS - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Today I have used the Fake GPS Location app to change my location to somewhere else.
But after I stopped the app, and open the Google Map, choosing "GPS only" in the location setting, I cannot get my true position.
Even if I uninstall the Fake GPS Location and disable Mock GPS in the Developer Options, the GPS still does not work.
I tried to use GPS Status or similar apps to Clear AGPS, after all, the GPS still no response, keep searching for satellite...
Whenever I disable WIFI / Data in the location setting, the GPS cannot get any location.
Any method to fix the problem? (any method instead of re-flashing the stock rom)
Remark: I am using Note 3 LTE (SM-N9005) with rooted.

I finally wipe all data + cache + Dalvik cache, and re-flash the stock rom.
But, the GPS is still not working...
Anybody has any suggestion?

Geotagging not working

Hi all..
Iam unable to geotag with my omnia 2..
When i select gps in camera settings, it just says "receving gps signal" and then nothing..
Has any one been able to geotag.. Or is there any settings i need to change..
Photo Gps
It took close to 60 seconds before the recieving gps signal loaded after this the window closes..This is what happened to me...
Hope this helps
On my it just says "receving gps signal" and nothing.. waited for around 2-3mins...
i am not on 3G connection.. does that matter.
Make sure under:MY Menu / Settings / General Settings / GPS / Connection: Scroll down and make sure the button for Manage GPS Automatically is on. Some programs will not use the gps unless this is activated..
Hope this may Help..

Manage GPS Automatically is on.. and also my Garmin works fine..
Have you flashed your unit with a new Rom here or changed your default Gps settings in order to get your Garmin to work?
Some have stated that using certain memory cleaners have wiped certain files needed for some functions.
I got caught the first week of downloading and using pocket mechanic and lost sound files for most apps...Only recourse was to Hardboot and try again.
Hopefully this is not your issue but thought i would but it on the table..

My geotagging works fine it is obviously a gps issue so try THIS
I got the same problem. I'm still using the same Samsung ROM that comes with my B7610. I turn on GPS from the camera submenu. However, I keep on getting the error "Fail to Receiving GPS Signal".

GPS not working

Rooted my G1 yesterday for the first time and installed
GreenRomProject-Presents-CyanogenMod-7.1-D/S-08/06/2011
H-BOOT 1.33.013d
Radio 2.22.27.08
Everything seems to be fine EXCEPT my GPS isn't working - When I hit my location in maps it says to enable a My Location source in system settings - I have use GPS satellites checked and use wireless networks unchecked - if i check use wireless networks it will get me my location but doesnt solve the problem why GPS isn't working. Also when I use facebook and try to check-in with places, facebook crashes (I'm assuming its trying to use GPS and for some reason it can't).
I was having the facebook crashing problem prior to this and didnt notice if GPS was working or not prior to this so I'm wondering if something got messed up during the rooting of the phone or is my GPS somehow not enabled? I don't even get a satellite icon in maps or facebook. Any help ?
anyone ?????
try reflashing
Same problem here with Laszlo's Froyo, seems that switching on/off GPS in settings doesn't do anything. Normally I got a blue color on the LED, nothing happens there either.
Very fast MOD, but I definately want to get GPS working!
Rich
Try different ROM. See if you get the same problem.
Right, got it working. Don't know what did the trick, changed radio to v2.22.28.25 (from 2.22.27.08) and installed "GPS-test-plus" (gps-test-plus-version-1-1-3 from androidxmarket) after I started the gps-test program my location changed to the right one in my case from Holland to Sudan (!)
Maybe this could be helpful to anyone.
Glad everything works out.

proposed solution for gps issues

Hi guys, I've been working hard for a while trying to track down a work-around to get gps to work properly, I've been testing my idea for about a week now and its been 100% effective for me so far.
Back ground:- I've been messing with every rom and they all exibit the same issue, "no azimuth or elevation data" is being received from the satelites. Without this data no location can be caluclated.
I stopped using Zeubeas ICS for a while as I wanted to use what should be a perfect, stable rom, as good as zeubeas rom is I didn't feel it was stable enough for my testing, so I ended up choosing cyanogen 7.2.0 as my choice.
First thing to note is that I have found that "gps test" by chartcross or gps status & toolbox by mobiwia eclipsim don't seam to work properly, as in they are supposed to have the ability to clear the agps data stored on the phone but from my testing it dosn't work hence why I struggled for so long beleiving those apps worked. So I stopped using them compleatly.
I Did find an app that does seam to work for me, it is also called gps test, but it is by Mike Lockwood, it shows satalite azimuth and elevation data and also seams to clear the agps data correctly.
I also use a really neat gps app called AndroiTS Gps test free, it has a nice gui, shows satalite azimuth and elevation data and more and doesn't seam to cause any conflict with gps apps.
The test condidtions:-
GPS on
3G & wifi off
Open either androiTS or gps test (then menu and start gps)
Wait a while, if you see numbers in the azim & elev other than 0(zero) you should eventually get location lock I have found that it takes no longer than 5 minutes to get lock, outside in the open.
Ok so you don't see azim & elev data, here's what I do to get it going again
Gps on of course
3G and wifi off (don't want any data or anything just yet)
Open gps test
Menu
Select clear aiding data
Close down gps test
3G data on, wifi off (having wifi on doesn't seam to help)
Open gps test
Menu
Start
Hey presto I see azimuth and elevation data again
When I do this I get really quick gps lock
Another thing I have noticed if you do the clear aiding data with 3G data off and wifi off then start gps you won't see azimuth or elevation data.
I hope this helps all the others with gps issues, if your getting gps issues and you can see the azimuth and elevation data but no lock this solution "may" also help.
I have not yet tried this idea on any other rom, so I don't know if it works as it does for me using cm 7.2.0, that is on my "todo list"
Happy Gps'ing
Update to this discussion.
I have now tried zeubeas beta 4 and out of the box I get no azimuzh or elevation data, the method I put forth above unfortunately did nothing to rectify GPS data either.

[Q] Unable to get a GPS lock until AGPS data is cleared

I have been having an issue in obtaining a GPS lock on my Nexus 4, Maps can't pinpoint my location with WiFi off and GPS Test shows 22 satellites in view, but 0 in use. But when I clear AGPS data via the GPS Test app (note: I only clear, not re-download new AGPS data), the satellites refresh and is able to lock and use most of them, same for Maps. But this doesn't last, I have to clear AGPS data again the next day in order for GPS to get a lock from the same location (at home).
Obviously this isn't normal behaviour is it? Having to rely on a third-party app to reset AGPS, and so on.
The same behaviour happens on stock 4.3 with no other apps other than the ones included.
Bump.
SAme probleme here on a xperia go
did you find a solution, or at least, a widget for clearing Adata easily?

[Q] Z1c on KitKat: location cannot be found?

Hi all!
On JellyBean I had the location settings on Wifi+GSM networks, since GPS takes battery power and I don;t need a very accurate location. On KitKat, Google can't find my location anymore, so it seems. On Wifi/GSM Google Maps prompts "waiting for location", on GPS/Wifi/GSM is finds my location eventually but only by GPS location. No GPS reception, no location update.
Is there something broken here?
I'm running a stock EU Z1 compact, no root, no custom ROM or anything.
Same problem here. I no longer have any GPS settings on my phone. There is not even an option under Quick Settings to add a GPS toggle. The Sonly widget has a GPS toggle but it does nothing. Navigation software can not find the GPS either. I have no GPS.
The Google Location started working again a few days ago, without any action from my side.... Maybe some error in the Google service?

Mine got going again after a factory reset and some software loaded on.
Do you have a distinct GPS quick toggle? I don't.
You can go to the Settings, Location menu and switch between 3 options: GPS+Wifi+Mobile networks, Wifi+Mobile networks and GPS only.
