For a month now, I can no longer install VIBER on my GALAXY S4 GT-9505 running under KITKAT 4.4.2.
Before updating my smartphone, When I was on Android 3.1.2 everything was fine, but since being passed KITKAT 4.4.2 I could not open the VIBER application, this led me to remove it but can not reinstall again. When installing Viber for Play Store, an error message appears: (Unknown error when installing the application code "-24").
I tried to install the downloaded version from APK from the browser but it gives me the same error message.
I request your help, and thank you for your attention.

Thank you for your help. I have to correct my thread. I tried several APK but in vain. they all give me the same error message.
I think its a compatiblity issue
Finally I repaired it by removing the folder com.viber.voip on /data/data/. Thanks for you all.

hi guys
so i have a nexus 7
whatsapp was fine in JB 4.2
then i installed custom 4.2.1 roms and formatted my storage
i have paranoid android beta rom now
anyway, i installed whatsapp by downloading apk from the official website
then by appguard and removing "identify phone" i managed to get it to work like i did on 4.2
but, when i turned the device off, and on again, whatsapp icon is there but says "app not installed" when i click it..
i tried to install the apk again it loads then says " X app not installed"
i tried many uninstallers and the problem is that none of them detect that i have whatsapp.. and then i did search for any whatsapp file on the storage and deleted it, and still same problem..
what can i do?
i downloaded newer nersion of whatsapp and still same problem
please help me....
(right now im downloading nexus 7 toolkit, hope it helps)
PS, YES I did wipe cache\dalvik cache many times and it didnt help
EDIT: tried installing through the toolkit, also failed

today I installed (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2792157) CyanogenMod 11 on the above phone. Everything works fine and got no error at all during all the process.
Now the phone is configured to conntect to PlayStore but i cannot download Whatsapp.
The error I get when I try to download it is "Your device is not compatible with this version".
Do you have any suggestion of what i can do? I haven't found something similar in the other posts.

I have a YU Yureka running Android 5.1.1 ( cm-12.1-20151007-SNAPSHOT-YOG4PAO338-tomato.zip build) with TWRP Recovery (V 2.8.6.0) and OpenGApps (open_gapps-arm64-5.1-micro-20151102.zip build).
A couple of days back I got a notification saying that I have a OTA update to my ROM (cm-12.1-20151117-SNAPSHOT-YOG7DAO1K5-tomato.zip build). After i gave it the command, it automatically downloaded and installed my update (Just like CM Updater). However, when my phone rebooted, instead the Google Now Launcher, it reverted back to Trebuchet. When I tried to install the launcher, i found that my Play Store was missing. I went to the home area (not the app list) and tapped on the Google Search Bar(which remained intact) to check for solutions when i got a message saying Google Play Services is incompatible with your device. Contact Device manufacturer for help.
I tried to boot to recovery and flash the Open GApps zip file (the same as aforementioned) but it did not flash and it gave me Error Code : 30. In the end, I formatted my device and reverted to my previous CM build.
Please help. I need to know whether i can update my phone's software without having this issue.
Does anybody else have this problem????
Yes me too ! The Google Play Services demands update as half the apps are not working and ehen updated, the 'Play Services unfortunately stops' . The pop up irritating msg does not allow to proceed with any action till the update is uninstalled ! What damn irritating ! Can anybody help !

I recently went to China and I bought the PRO 5 64Gb ROM & 4Gb RAM version and I’m loving it, although I’m having some issues.
The main problem is that I keep getting the annoying message from the Google Play “X app can’t be downloaded, try again bla bla (Error retrieving information from server. [RPC:S-7:AEC-7JFMW-4Z4P-VIKKC])” At first, I got that error every time I tried to download an app, now I just got it rarely but it’s still annoying (And yes I have followed all the YouTube tutorials and have deleted the caches, datas and everything)
The second problem, SuperSu works but won’t let me update the binaries, it gives me the Installation Failed error, I restart the phone and Installation keep failing, some ideas?
I have read that maybe changing from version A to I or G (International one) would fix the Google Play error
If I get some other problems I’ll edit this post

On my MX5 was happening something same. It was, because bad root with upgrading to new OS. I donk know if it will help you, but you can try to download older OS install it and then the new again.
today i installed last flyme in mx4 pro, and was with that download error in playstore
it was so easy so solve, just go to your google acount in setting, remove it and create again, it should fix

I am on 7.1.1 rooted with bootloader unlocked.
Everytime I try to install an apk file I get this message "There was a problem parsing the package"
Unknown sources is on!
I found on 6.xx when I turned on unknown sources I had to do a full reboot first and quickly open solid explorer to get the install done. Have you tried that yet?

Sorry I can't.
I've not seen that exact error or actually any error toast installing an apk from my sd. In the installer the install button would not depress for me unless I did that re-boot and acted quickly. Not used 7.1 yet but hopefully I'll be able to use fdroid on it. I can on 7.0 after the initial install of PureNexus since "unknown sources" checked comes with the rom I've been able to install what I want. I turn if off after that and some updated apks are tricky to get done.
