[Q] Downgrade Galaxy s4 I9505

after upgrading 4.3 my network reception is [email protected] constant network droping, no HSPA at all. now i'm a total noob here. plz help me about which modem i need to flash? my baseband is I9505zhuemj7. Thank you...
Or can i downgrade it to 4.2.2 ? i don't care about knox warranty bit, cause i already blew it by rooting

You can start by going to http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/2/ to check if you are using the correct firmware.
Once you got that, head to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2192025 and find the firmware and flash it via Odin. And make sure to read the instructions, whether you need to flash both GSM and LTE modems.

yaa. but i'm from bangladesh and my s4 is importe from HK. now is there any modem driver for my carrier 'teletalk' ?
BTW what if i flash my I9505 with a 9500 modem, cause that version has TML, which is code for bangladesh.

If you updated to 4.3 via an OTA or Kies or flashed a stock odin rom you'll have a knox boot loader. Once you have a knox boot loader you can not downgrade to any lower version. You can flash modems though there is a thread in the S4 General section with various modems have a look in there.

thnaks, i'm trying various modems now. it sounds extremely stupid but has anyone tried to flash with a GT-I9500 modem?

Hi,
Today I flash my sgh-i337m via odin to android 4.3 stock firmware and after install, the phone just hold in the restart screen, what can I do? I try two times and same thing...

Welp, you can try going back to your old firmware through Odin, but if you can't (I own i337 not m), then you might want to consider taking it to best buy or something. Also, are you sure that the 4.3 was for i337M and not regular i337? *That's probably not it buuuut it's worth looking into, yeah?*

I have M919V (the other canadian variant). How did u flash it exactly (odin settings), what odin version, and where did u get the I337M 4.3 rom? can u paste the label of it? what carrier is ur phone for (originally) and the rom??

Thank You for your answer and help, Yes I sure that I have an sgh-i337m and the firmware was android 4.3 for the sgh-i337m TCE, and also I downloaded the 4.2 and try in odin and same thing...

[Q] Help on unlocking the AT&T galaxy s4 4.4.2 kitkat

Hello, I just got a brand new at&t Samsung Galaxy S4. It is running android 4.4.2 kitkat, I am trying to get into service mode to unlock it. I have tried the *#0011# code and pressed back and entered 1 and nothing happened, I also tried the other code but option number 6 (UTMS) was missing. Any advice on how to unlock my att galaxy s4? Thanks

Did you ever find an answer for this? Does RegionLockAway work?

I can't use regionlockaway because it requires root and my phone is not rooted because there is no root for 4.4.2 kit kat on the att variant

I did downgrade to MK2 and flashed MDL radio (I got hidden menu *#0011#, but unlock didn't work anyways)...finally I did root and installed RegionLockAway and it didn't work too...so I flashed it back to NB1 and stuck with this question

I tried to downgrade from NB1 to MK2 by this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2663545 and I think MK2 that I got is not exactly same as the original att S4 MK2 (cuz it has multi languages and att version I belive has only 5...idk maybe it's wrong opinion) but I'm sure if you have a stock android 4.3 MK2 you can flash MDL radio, then root it and use RegionLockAway, unlock will work. I did it with Mom's att S4 on stock android 4.3 MK2 before KitKat update.

@denverman, when I downgrade, would this void my Knox warranty and set it to 0x1?

There is root for att 4.42. You have to root mk2 .. Then flash 100% stocknb1_rooted .. To get root in 4.4.2

Hello I a new to the S4 I did have the S3 that I was able to flash and do everything I wanted so Im not totally new to this. I am trying to downgrade my modem to MDC I am currently on L720TVPUBNAF I am wanting to downgrade the modem so I can unlock sim and get the 16 digit password so I can use DFS or CDMA Workshop to get my MSL and flash my phone from Sprint to cricket. I have been able to root the S4 and flash Custom Sacs custom ROM. Whenever I try to Flash any Modems Or AIO Modem I always get Fail when using Odin by or using TRWP on the the phone. Is there any tutorials that show me how from the current Modem I am on or any sugestions. Also I have gave thought to Buying WIreless Workshop Service to allow full flash. But will I still need the MSL Number to do that or will I be able to do the full flash and all my services still work. Thanks for any info or help with this issue. MODS If the post is in the wrong Section I apologize in advance and please move to the correct area. Thanks.

First and for most not possible at the moment. You have the SPH-L720T and the unlock method that currently exists only works for the SPH-L720. So you cannot use any modems meant for the regular GS4 on the Triband version.

[Q] how to sim-unlock after making phone tmobile compatible

Hello, used This to make my phone go from att to tmobile but it turns out my phone was sim-locked. I have finished the method above but I need to sim-lock now, what do I have to do to get sim-unlock?

Flashing the modem has nothing to do with the ROM and so would work. I am not 100% sure that regionlockaway would be able to unlock while running custom ROM. There is no harm in trying. But, it definitely works while on stock ROM and with MF3 modem.
