I was using Android L port. Everything was working fine. Yesterday I installed Panaroid 4.5. I was unable to sign in to my google account and error was Couldn't establish connection.
Then I opted for mobile data connection and sign in was successful.
Issue is Play Store is not working over WiFi. I have tried following things:
Reboot
Factory Reset
Editing Hosts
Deleting Hosts
Using hosts file from Android L Rom
What you guys suggest me? Need HELP!!
What device,i337 or i337m ate you on? And what firmware version are you on? L can cause issues where you might have to Odin the stock firmware and start over

Sorry, wrong forum. no Odin on n4. But there's no port of L on the n4, there's just the preview firmware and that's what threw me. You're probably going to have to flash 4.4.4 firmware in fastboot.

So you have connection issues with wifi? What about bluetooth? Does this work?
I either suggest to flash the latest radio or to reset your router. [emoji106] [emoji6]

It worked well for a while. But i am experiencing no neccention and a retry button in play store again..
Bluetooth works fine abd I also have reset my router.
What can be the issue?
Than I would suggest you to reset your router. Just power it off for some minutes and then power it on again

Sure! That would be great if you come up with some solution to this!
Here I am again and I am not sure if I brought the solution for your problem with me.
Truth be told the common solution for WiFi issues is either to flash the latest radio, do a factory reset or reset your router. In your case nothing of this works, so there arent many other options left. We must assume that there is something messed up with your WiFi module.
But try the following first:
- Check if your date and time is correct. Sometimes your device wont let access the internet, because the time/date isnt sync with the time/date on your router
- Did you do anything with your bandwith? There are 5 Ghz and 2.4 Ghz. You may change it to 'Auto' in your advanced WiFi settings.
- Also uncheck 'avoid poor connections' and turn off WiFi optimization
And to be sure: What exactly happens, when you try to connect to your WiFi? In the best case it says 'Connected', but there is also 'obtaining IP address'. Screenshots pls! And other devices can access internet through WiFi?
I hope something of this works and now I am really bumped. May someone else could help?

Hello XDA.
I have a:
Galaxy S4 SGH-I337M (IT'S EITHER A BELL/ROGERS PHONE)
BASEBAND VERSION: I1337MVLUAMDJ
KERNAL VERSION: 3.4.0-1529758 [email protected]#1
BUILD NUMBER: K0T49H.1337MVLUFNE1
The problem is, I had rooted my phone long time ago and wanted to recently unroot and update to the latest KitKat version (I was on jellybean). It would not let be update because it said the device was modified or something of that sort. I tried to unroot by following a tutorial online and flashing with a stock rom.
I did exactly as it says but now my phone is totally messed up. My Wifi no longer works, the apps keep crashing and nothing is working like its suppose too. I do not know what to do to fix this. How do I return my phone back to factory settings as if it is brand new? I have tried flashing stock roms 3 times new (3 different ones using ODIN) and nothing seems to work. I have tried samsung kies and it is still doing the same thing!
Please help.

No, it would not be the case. Odin flashes the entire firmware, kernel and all. Sammobile is an official site for the firmware so if it doesn't work you might have a hardware issue. But wait for the download.

The carrier is "CLARO" and the kind of band is UMTS or HSPA+

Thanks for reply! The problem isn't in the apn or internet conection... Is in all the carrier registration, that means can't call or send sms.

APN settings is all I had. I have an ATT on ATT network, so I do not have too much experience configuring the phone on other carriers.
In the OP, you mentioned "This happens in all the iB4STiD new version of roms in every Kernels." Did it work on his older ROMs or another dev's ROM? If so, I'd suggest flashing one of those to see if it is still working.

Yes, yes and yes. I do all, but nothing change. I installed a old version of GE (37, 38, 38.1) doesn't work.
Now I'm trying with GE 30. First I trying SHOstock and seems work.
I got more information for you!
The problem started when I installed a KK 4.4.4 Rom, before this never happened anything and always a custom rom allowed me to call.
PD: ONLY with the stock rom (I337UCUAMDL_I337ATTAMDL_ATT) and a based 4.4.4 custom rom is installed it can use the phone for call. Not just the internet!

No, it'll just flash the modern. Nothing else will change. I'm not sure if it will help you though. It could, modems sometimes work better and other times not. It depends on where you are and what works better in that location. You can always flash back to the mdl modem, i.e. baseband

Hi there, fellow enthusiasts!
My phone doesn't connect to WiFi when the screen is off. As soon as I turn it on, it's good to go; connects within 2 seconds or so which is great. I'm just wondering why it doesn't connect to WiFi when the screen is off. I've tried every option possible and for well over a year now it just doesn't go thru with screen off automatically. I've switched ROMs, done stock, you name it.
It's annoying to have to take the phone out of my pocket, wake it up, and then check my notifications; it should be doing this automatically. I know it does this with data fine but I don't use my phone like that, I'm a WiFi only kinda guy.
Help me troubleshoot. Any help would be of so much help. Thanks!

From what I can gather the WiFi needs to poll more when the screen is off. Once in a blue it'll connect with screen off (may take up to 2 hours) to a known SSID. I'm not concerned about battery life with more polling, honestly. It'd be way more convenient to not have to turn my phone on to connect to an SSID.
I believe it used to work on 4.4 but I can't be sure. That thread I linked to said the behavior started on 5.1 if that's helpful.

Ok
The issue you are having was a common issue, but no one has that issue anymore. If I remember correctly that issue happens when you are running an old modem on new firmware. The wifi disconnects when you turn the screen off.
You are using a 4.2.2. bootloader and a 4.2.2. modem with a Lollipop rom. Why haven't you upgraded to a Lollipop bootloader and modem?

haha I honestly don't know. Like I said, I only use my phone with WiFi (Hangouts and Optimum Online = no monthly bill.) I didn't think I needed to upgrade. Which modem do you recommend I upgrade to? I'll report back as soon as I upgrade.

I don't know which modem since this is the section for the i9505. It's a different model. You can also just flash the latest stock rom.
You have to check here, but at least you know what to look for.

I assume I should use the latest: MF9FirmwareAIO and Odin. I'll be right back.

Same result. Firmware upgraded to latest.
It's not that my WiFi turns off when the phone is asleep. It'll stay on whatever WiFi I'm connected to, but as soon as I am out of range from it, it obviously will disconnect BUT then it doesn't connect to any other WiFi in range unless I turn the screen on first. That thread I linked you to lists the same exact problem.
I appreciate the help.

Your modem didn't update. Try reflashing the firmware you just flashed. Only this time do it twice. So flash it, reboot phone, flash it again.

I was on L720VPUAMDC when I made this thread, then after Odin it's on L720VPUAMF9. That's the latest, no? What do you mean it didn't update? Anway, I'll try again twice.

L720VPUAMF9 = Jelly Bean 4.2.2
So not, it's still a very old modem.

Oh *slaps self* I see. I upgraded the modem to NG2. Still the same issue unfortunately. I really thought we had it this time. What else could it be?

*edit* Actually...IT WORKS! It connects to a known WiFi network when the screen is off in exactly 4 minutes. Much better than before where it was not at all or hours. You've been completely helpful, dude. Thank you. I just have one more question, is there anyway for it to poll faster with the screen off? As in, can I get it to connect to an open WiFi network under 4 minutes or instantly?
I have installed the port by KeTuRr74 for the n910f on my Verizon Note 4 n910v and it boots fine and everything appears to work except of course the Verizon network. I have been unsuccessful in getting the rom to recognize the sim. Since it is a port of the 910g to the 910f, I assume this would be possible. Can anyone point me to a guide?
Have you tried data fix from Kyubi or Ketan's roms???

improvements needed in verizon fix
I tried marshmallow rom too not booting if you flash both {Data fix and rom zip} flash rom zip first complete setup (wifi needed) then flash data fix zip and wait 15~20 min it took time but it will work

Ok so your saying u got data fix to work how is that possible when then rom itself is 6.0.1 based and the data fix is 5.1.1 based? I have done exactly what you have suggested and Still can't get boot up. I can get the rom to boot by itself but after applying data fix I get nothing .

It's not that the datafix has to be updated. The datafix is only made for Note 5 5.1.1 port ROMs, not Note 4 5.1.1 ROMs.

Can you please port into note 4
ok i misread kyubi rom that rom and data fix for note 5 thanks
can do one thing I have solution too
just change the dpi for data fix .. you ask me why .. because most 5.1.1 F rom supported on my note 4 but problem is the notification center and dial pad area is cut that thing means I can see wifi icon but not Wi-Fi written {Vague (I know)} just change dpi to 640 i have 2 roms which will work successfully after that !!
In that mean time I will change dpi after installing rom
Thanks @jcip17

I was able to get my n910v data working by applying the data fix by louforgiveno. However I am facing another issue on this 6.01 port. When I long press the power button, the system reboots instead of popping up the selection menu (power down, reboot, etc). Any idea how to fix it?
